I have had this camera for over 3 weeks now. I was hesitant to purchase it thinking the good old "you get what you pay for". Turned out, I was wrong. I read the reviews, albeit few, compared to my previous Rexing V1 dash cam. I decided to give it a try. Well, I love it. I love the clarity of the video, the design, the ease of setting it up, the overall quality for the price I paid. The only con was the fact that the camera arrives on default screensaver ON when you connect it; meaning, it's still recording but the screen is blank to avoid distraction while driving. I was unable to find the screensaver turn OFF feature in the settings. I contacted the seller and they told me that the screensaver turn off feature was under LCD Brightness, which was odd. But I found it and turned it on. So far, I love it, works perfectly fine. Very responsive and fast customer service; open communication, help available when needed. Will update my review if any changes down the road.

I have a 200 GB and got my camera for $30 on amazon it was a deal of the day and bought the mirrow mount for $8, sd card was $20 but well worth it I can record 10:00 hrs very happy had it for 3 months
What's the brand?
This camera has a known flaw with the night-vision that Apeman has a firmware update but you have to prove it to them with video. They don't want you to load it if you dont need it I presume. Once you have the firmware it is VERY easy to install, but it resets EVERYTHING so you will have to reset all settings.
After that the camera is good for the price.

How does the recording work? Is it non stop. Or do you hit a button and it starts recording 2 mins prior and 2 mins ahead? Or something like that?
For mine it's none stop when driving starts to record as soon as car is on
i have 256 gb sd card and the files corrupts after about 30 loops of recording. anyone know a fix for this i have formatted it and deleted everything off it and still does it?

Does it start recording automatically?
Once its plugged into the "lighter" port when your car turns on it will automatically start, and when your cars off it will stop, however if let's say you get hit or get In your trunk the slam will make it start as well
On the video it's hard to see the license plates, is it clearer when your reviewing it off of sim card on your computer?

Yes it does
you can set it up so screen stays on as well.
I've already had problems with mine. I got a replacement. They gave me a heard time about it. I won't buy from this company again.
What sd card do I use? Can I use more than 64gb ?

Just got mine and for the price it's good. I can see the plates in front of me. Just gotta try night time.
How does the storage work? Does it max out and you have to delete it everytime or does it automatically write over the files and constantly record?

So it saves videos in x minute sections, and then overwrites the oldest videos when the card is full?
I've been trying to figure that out too
@@ScissorFeet yeah, that's how most of them work. The one I use now saves videos in intervals of 2:30.
Once it's full you have to wipe the memory card.
Some devices you can change the amount of time per video file, and some devices automatically overwrite the oldest files.
I was curious about which functions this apeman has.

One issue with this dash cam, I set up the correct date but the files are all saved as created in 2018

The Dashcam stays off when you are driving. there is no address or phone number for the manufacture

I had that issue with this camera, but even worse, it would stop recording once it went to sleep and if you have issues with it, there's no manufacturer or company to update the software or send you a new one. Total piece of shit.

Have any solutions for the suction cup not sticking all the time? Just got mine in yesterday and installed everything but the suction cup fell off. It can go back on but, eventually falls off again, not sure how to perm fix it.

I heard it’s a setting you can change via the led tab called screensaver to help prevent distractions by the screen while driving.

It may not be the most advanced or easy to use for new dash cam users, and there are certainly better ones out there, but it does have good quality video for that price.

After like every two weeks it says “please format SD card” is this normal and does every dash cam need SD formatting after every few weeks ? Thanks
My guess is that the cam is trying to tell you to put your video recorders in a safe location in your your computer and then empty out the SD card. Now, this is a guess.
formatting is wiping the sd card of all memory. resetting it to new basically
the video quality looks like garbage. Not sure why people are saying it looks good. There is no detail and cant read plates

@@ScissorFeet No. you can use 128 SD cards, just have to format to FAT32. That's what im using and its working great.

@@namiswaaan2182 I don't know if youtube will allow me to comment a link but... search on youtube for "how to format 32gb+ SD to FAT32" and all the videos show them using the same format. It's very easy to do so don't worry lol. Just be sure to have the SD CARD selecting and not your computer hard drive in the program!!!!
