I use that rig on a fluke and I also cut the paddle off an easy shiner 4 or 5 inch here in Michigan a lot.

good vid. hey i just tried the zman ZWG 4/0 1/8 ounce hooks on my Zoom super flukes. these hooks make the fluke have that good slight wobble action like what your talking about. i get a lot more bites when the fluke does the wobble. also the lead has a little side to side flash to it as it does the wobble so it really draws the fish in. I used the( Core Tackle) hoover rig method also on my big swimbaits for snook and big bass

Hey before the zoom super fluke ever existed in central Florida we threw bass assassin with the single tail and the bass went absolutely crazy with every new color we got to try. Used to get bags of twenty for 3.00 and they were always gone by the end of the day on toho. Destroyed em

      J. I lived in a Kissimmee years ago when Robby ran Big Togo Marina. Were you there then? We used the Slug-O as our fluke.

@@kevinthornton6563 I believe you are correct and the slug o was the first on the fluke design. And timing wise I'm referring to mid to late eighties up to present day.

@@jeffreyrodgers5835 I was there from 78’ thru 92. There used to be a tackle store downtown called “Hook, Line and Sinker. Not sure it was there in the mid eighties. Fished many a tournaments on The Kissimmee Chain.

Great vid! Check out Crème’s fluke, it’s a great size and they’re a proven bait. They are not expensive and they are very durable! You can pick up some Coachwhips and Scoundrels too!

OSP Do Live stick is solid too. I noticed the hook has a blunt end, I have some with a pointed tip and it was super tough to rig bc of the pointed tip. So I’m going to trim those up and try them now!

Great video. My lake is generally a shallow weedy lake. Most of the classic milfoil is dead for some reason. I’ve tried this for smallies over 8 to 20 ft with no success at all. Would this work over weed beds in 5 to 8 ft for largemouth. ?

"I get it in FRONT of them": the most key statement of the video....the different plastics, hooks, lines, etc, are all relative to the fact that with FFS you KNOW the lure is in front of them! Without it, you are just fan casting and guessing, kind of like how fishing USED to be! LOL.....

The 7” versa shad has that wormy “chatterbait imparted action “ one it’s own- on a ewg weedless even you can burn it and it’s swim is swimbait-esq… but it’s a pintail. If you like the 5”..go bigger,You get more action of the 7” and you don’t have to impart any action and you can really speed it up! Try it out

  • @mikegardiner3934

Great tips, Mikey! I have had good success with the kietec shad impact 4”. I will definitely need to try the Pintail 5”. I don’t know if you have tried this yet, but there is an awesome looking 4” Luke style made by Mach called the skooler too. Check it out if you have not already. Thanks!
