When I buy second hand ryobi rht2660da and similar homelite mighty version I now check the dam and carb and cylinder for scores as broken dam will make start very hard nice to see you do the video mart as there's loads of these about and not if any video on them
Martin my stihl strimmer fs55 bogs down on high speed ( after it’s been running for 5 mins or so ) so when it’s hot ? ( I have threw everything at it , new position carb cleaned new gaskets ( it’s around 5 years old had very decent use out of it )

Hello mate, hope all is well, I have the same hedge trimmer, won’t start at all, unless I put fuel down it’s head then it run for a few seconds then cut outs, have changed the gaskets and diaphragms, I’m unable to touch the screws because I haven’t got the tool for it, hoping you can give me some guidance to where I’m going wrong please, thank you
@@retrorestore Many thanks for that info, I will strip the carb’ although it is the first time I used it last week after emptying the fuel and carb’ last winter. But hey, anything can happen if things aren’t ok.😊😊

I had a ryobi 4stroke trimmer and the camshaft melted as it's made from nylon😭 my ryobi battery drill died and the battery no longer charges, I'm not a fan of ryobi now....

@@retrorestore hi Martin thank you so much I like watching his videos because he makes me laugh with his back street mechanic attitude and was worried after he had the first Covid Injection he started to go downhill I was just a little bit worried because I put no videos up anyway sorry to here about your granddaughter god bless that day was my b day I have had 21 years of illness Through the horrible C word that was got cut out But it’s all the infections it’s left me with they’re waiting for another up to come up and the only way they can get into me he’s either through my side or back as my belly is now frozen through being open 10+ times Ps I love your dogs I hope the training is working bless him and I’m so sorry to hear about Barney many thanks forgetting back to me Reece of Essex

It's obviously not getting fuel. You can buy a co.plete Chinese carb off ebay for about 10 quid, I'd try that.

@@retrorestore have just fitted the new carb, fires straight up, just need to adjust the screws, haven’t ever touch adjustment screws before 😂

On mine it says it should be 50/1 mix does it matter great video I have a new carb and fuel lines coming rgdsP
50/1 is fine, I like to run mine on a stronger mix 40/1

Funny enough, I was driving through Lincoln last week and saw him in his electric chair doing some shopping. He looked ok to me.
