I have a 2000 S320 and did the same procedure as you did, all light are working perfectly, Glove box, Make Up mirrors, interior lights and Door lights as well. Just the trunk 😮 that always seems that only one LED is working when on the other side a normal lamp is installed 🙈 If I put 2 LEDs the trunk lights don’t work, they just start to blink or flash 😩
I popped one of them hot ones out and it went down my shirt. I was outside looking like I was dancing trying to get it out. Neighbors looked at me weird.
Usually the car not liking the wattage. I think I was able to get them to work by just trying different bulbs but for some reason the trunk ones are the most picky
Typically I stay away from V12s just because they’re typically more expensive to maintain and less reliable. But if you can find a good, low mileage example that’s been kept, go for it.
Great vide,i really hate when these guys make a video after having done the work already, not showing u the difficulty with some of the task, leaving the viewer wondering whether they are doing the work properly
Thank you! I’m glad my videos quality was helpful. I actually had done the whole job and then took the right half bulb back out to show the whole process 👍
Awesome video! I used the links you provided and just changed all my lights in my 2002 S600 to all LED now thanks to you. But, what I really want to know is what and where did you get the black door gaskets I see in between all the door jams? I would really like to install some on my car as live in New York and my 2002 has some rust on it.
Alexander Andrianis Thank you! Glad it helped! I imagine your talking about the rubber strips on the ends of the door? They’re like bumpers to prevent chips or damage to the tip of the door. I got them at autozone but you can probably get better ones online somewhere like amazon. Mine like to try and come off and I have to push them on a lot.
@@MercedesTech Interesting, I'll definitely check either Amazon or autozone. Also, have you replaced the tail lights, parking lights, or side marker lights with LED's?
The brake lights are usually already LED, but the rest of the lights (turn signal, reverse and tail lights) are usually bulbs. I’ll probably do separate video(s) on those and the side markers (which are usually just the same T10s they use on the interior) in the future like I did for the W211. For you other question, just search the term “door edge guard” on amazon.com
Great video......question for you.. Which replacement suspension kit would you recommend for a W220 with hydraulic shocks? I have problems with both rear (hydraulic) suspension struts. The problem is that they keep coming down very low after only a couple of hours (it used to be a few days)
Thank you! I haven’t switched out a stock air or hydraulic suspension for after market before. I usually avoid ABC suspension and aim toward AIRMATIC or Coil suspension. ABC works really well when it’s in good shape but is hard and expensive to maintain. You could be having and issue with the accumulators leaking or pump not supplying pressure
Thanks for this great video. I changed my S350 interior lights with success! Did you change the panel lights? Like the seat buttons and window buttons etc? I was wondering if they’re the same bulb fittings.
Your welcome! Glad it helped! I did not change any instrument panel lights. I don’t believe that’s something you can change easily. Usually just an LED that’s built into the switch or other electronic panel.
Unfortunately those lights in the footwells and handles are wired in LEDs that don't look replaceable. Ill have another look today but they are designed as accent lighting and not main interior illumination.
Thanks man, I noted those footwell are quite dim light, which could give better accent if they can be change into modern led as well...at least bit brighter than the original version
Thank you man. These videos are so important for all us W220 lovers out there!

LED globes are great, although I prefer top match the colour temperature to the OEM look.
where’d you get the rear view mirror from man?
Good Video ! I build in blue lights looks amazing thanks 😁
Super vid, just came for 1 bulb well ok 2 bulbs for the licence plate just to find out u don't even have a trunk lid!
Thank you, this video is very helpful
I appreciate your effort in putting together this instruction video.
Paul Soetopo Your welcome! I’m glad to hear it’s already helped!
Glove box?
NICE VIDEO IN VERY GOOD DETAILS
Parsotam Kundaria Thank you very much! Im glad you enjoyed it!

Ahh, the joys of mechanic work 😜 hope your alright.
Thanks for the video it was very helpful
Co na nohy světlo, kdy bude svítit???
Why is it that when I put in both led's on the trunk it just flashes but will work if I only have one led and the other original bulb?
Usually the car not liking the wattage. I think I was able to get them to work by just trying different bulbs but for some reason the trunk ones are the most picky
@@MercedesTech Thanks for the info and the video as well. Very informative and easy to follow.
What about the rear lights that are located on the floor by each of the passenger feet...?
Those I believe are not replaceable, as they are orange led lights
@@MercedesTech thanks again, Vid was great
Thanks great info and super detailed and really appreciate the links 👍🏾
Glad you liked it! 🙌 very welcome.
Is this the same thing with 2006 e350?
Well done mate! Really helpful video
Thank you! Much appreciated! 🙏
Can you suggest should I buy mercedes w220 s600 2001 with low mileage

@@MercedesTech thanks
Same as 2001 S500?
Yes

do you know about the side view mirrors on the exterior? they have a puddle light that i want to make led

I can't find the door bumpers online. Does the part also go by a different name?

I get hyper flash in the trunk when I swap both of them
Yea, mine did that also. I believe I just put different bulbs in there until it stopped or used a different kind (brand)

But I like yellow one
Then this is a how to change your bulbs video! 😀
How bout the footwell light on front and rear, did you change it as well? Is the t10 bulb also work for ambient light on the door handle?
Unfortunately those lights in the footwells and handles are wired in LEDs that don't look replaceable. Ill have another look today but they are designed as accent lighting and not main interior illumination.

what about the lights for your feet? i
They cannot be replaced. They’re already orange LEDs that are not a bulb style. It would require customer wiring to modify
Gee, now that all the lights are upgraded, do you find yourself more, or less, inclined to keep a cleaner car? Just askin' for a friend. 😉
It definitely is on my mind more now that I can see it better 😛
you spent more on bulbs than the car is worth
Your welcome 🫠
Cold white leds are tacky
I love the way you put this together. Top notch video 👍
Marian Niranjan thank you! I appreciate that!
Looks cheap. Cheap new cars have overly bright cold white LEDs. New mercedes models have warm LEDs
dramat white color , no hot climat
