Hi there! Sonos Roam 2 features separate power and Bluetooth buttons for easier control, and updated monotone finish, and now includes USB-C to USB-C cable for more efficient charging. You can also power Bluetooth out of the box.
I will also say I bought two JBL Flip 6 speakers and they WILL pair in bluetooth and sounded awesome. I returned them to get the new Roam 2 but you cannot pair two in bluetooth so worthless, returned those to Best Buy. JBL will not sync with Apple TV but the Roam will. Why can't they get it right?
Loved my Sonos Roam (Gen 1) but have now had 2 where the battery died out randomly. Would leave on Sonos’ own qi charger and used daily. Very disappointed. Not sure I can trust this being a viable replacement.
Sonos Ace is currently designed to work with Sonos Arc as our premium home theater experience. We look forward to rolling out support for additional soundbars soon.
Great question! And yes, you can! When you are on WiFi, you can create a stereo pair with Roam 2 and Roam to enjoy stereo separation and a wider soundstage. Please note that a pair of portable speakers will not work as rear surround speakers in your Sonos home theater system.
Hi Oscar, both Roam 2 and Beam (Gen 2) are compatible with the latest Sonos app so you will be able to group them together to play the same audio. You can find a list of app compatible devices here: support.sonos.com/article/sonos-app-version-compatibility
Hi Ross! Sonos Roam 2 features separate power and Bluetooth buttons for easier control, and updated monotone finish, and now includes USB-C to USB-C cable for more efficient charging. You can also access Bluetooth out of the box with Roam 2.
I would have bought two of these if Sonos would have added just one feature from the original: Stereo Pairing over Bluetooth. Sonos, if somehow you can firmware add this, get back to me. One other thing I really would ha e liked to see is an on/off SWITCH, not button. When I'm traveling and my Roam is off and I plug it in to charge, it automatically turns on and connects to my Bluetooth. It's very annoying. I own a few Roams and have given the first one as a gift a couple times (to Sonos users). However, this version really adds nothing useful.
Hi Kevin, we understand the frustration. Our development team is currently investigating the Trueplay tuning feature and will be rolling out improvements to the app in the coming weeks. We appreciate your patience.
@@sonos ok, and i like to see in about system settings the arc info audio sources before i can see that i play dolby thu HD or Dolby 7.1 ….. now it’s showing nothing after the update, i only see Dolby atmos in the contolpannel, but idk what kinda Dolby it is, and the Dolby Thru HD is not showing anymore like 2sec in the movie and than it switched back to Dolby atmos, and the Trueplay it says it’s done and i check it there is no toggle to turn it of or on so its not working the thueplay on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, hope this problem will be fixed i like the system ARC 2x ERa300 Sub gen 3 amazing cinema hope to see a fix, Thanks 🙏
Roam 2 sucks. Won’t connect to the rest of your system, especially after Sonos’s last update that seems to have ruined the connection between all speakers
Whoo care about bt button ? Who care alexa on bt speaker? We need chromecast support not just airplay. Sonos looks like they hlave hiden colaboration with apple Roam 1 vs roam 2 no big deal no need upgrade 👎👎 Still problem with battery life I have 5 sonos ( 2x roam) speaker but im dissapointed from google support 👎👎👎
I have a Sonos arc Sonos one speakers for surround and a Sonos sub. I also have Sonos ones in our bedroom for the most part. Sonos is pretty good but these speakers are absolutely garbage. I’ve had a Sonos one and quit working after two months of buying it. basically, it was a paperweight an expensive paperweight when it did work sound sucked.
So, what are the key differences compared to the Roam? I have one, but I don't see significant differences with this Roam 2 except the logo's color.
it has bluetooth 5.2 (not even the latest type lol) instead of bluetooth 5.0 that the roam 1 has.

Same internal speaker?
@@PHX9494 yes. The same.
@@sonos Got it. In that case, I think it doesn't worth to upgrade. I'll stay with my Roam 1.
What key differences vs Roam 1st?
Maybe better backbutton ?? & the pairing button
@@tyson00001 evolution in generations like iPhone and Galaxy 🤣
2 is bigger number
Designated Bluetooth button and SONOS logo same color as the sepeaker! 🤷♂️
Is there a roadmap you can share so we know what features will be disabled with future software updates?
Is this better than the beats pill? I heard sonos roam 1 and it aounded perfect.
Can you pair two Roam 2s in stereo over bluetooth? or is it still possible over wifi only just like with first gen?
No.
The ONE thing they could have added that would have greatly improved it over the first one.

Sonos equipment historically does not have a long life span. It’s basically fast fashion for speakers.
Okay, okay! I get it. You thought of everything. Just take my money 😭
does this conenct to ace?

Roam 2 is Bluetooth compatible and Sonos Ace can seamlessly pair to two devices over Bluetooth simultaneously.
@@sonos can I pair 2x roams(gen2) with my Arc to have dolby atmos (surround) , instead of era 100?

you can’t, only the indoor non portable ones can do thst
Does stereo pairing work with Bluetooth?
No.
And judging by comments I keep seeing I'm not the only one who would have really liked to have seen this feature added.
USB line in support?
can I stero pair it with my Sonos roam 1 ?

can work together with Sonos Beam 2? As a peripheral ?

Kind of lacklustre improvements tbh. Was at the very least expecting improved battery life

Unbelievable that they cannot bluetooth pair for stereo.

Google asistent? 😟
Hi there! Google Assistant is currently available on Arc, Beam, One, Move, and Roam Sonos systems.

Are you selling something that doesn't work after your last update or will stop working in the future after the next one? You are cheating
