The design has *slightly* grown on me over these past few days, but what I actually appreciate about the Cybertruck is the intent behind it's design, not the design itself.
Am I the only one in a Shiny odd comment section that actually likes the Tesla Cybertruck's design? I really like how it has that 80's sort of concept, and that it looks like BTTF's 2015 ford F-150. Also remember when Shiny odd said that Stainless steal doesn't on just cars in general? Well I think he's wrong. The reason why the Delorean failed to be known for it's performance is because it was meant to be a "sports car", even though it was made out of stainless steel. The Cybertruck however is meant to be STRONG, with that big electric motor making 800 horsepower, and 1,000 lb feet of torque. The thing doesn't care how heavy it is. It can still do a 0-60 in 2.9 seconds! I don't care if it looks like a coat hanger, or a Toblerone bar, BECAUSE THATS THE FUNKINESS OF 80'S FUTURISTIC CAR DESIGN. *R E T R O W A V E*
Using the stainless steel body as shiny said it can not be bent and shaped like the bodies of most vehicles the panels cant be bent without scoring the back of the panels thus making it weaker though the panels are extremely strong

I mean, from a pure mechanical and aerodynamic perspective, it's a good design. From a marketing perspective it's also pretty good since it gives tesla a lot of free publicity and lastly from a person who just likes cars but has never owned one, "eh, I'd buy it, but I'd rather get a more normal looking tesla Y or 3 model."

Ok, this car is almost 2 year old news at this point, but whatever, I'll ramble about it anyways. Now, I don't like the design, but you can at least give the designers credit for breaking out of the mold for this truck, even if it ended up the way it did. What I don't understand is the safety aspect. They proudly showed off that you can hit it with a sledgehammer without the steel deforming, but from my understanding, deforming is what keeps a car from being a mobile coffin in the event of an accident. If it doesn't deform, how do the people inside survive crashes if essentially all the energy of a crash is transferred onto their bodies?
Reason for the car looking like a thoroughly molded wedge of cheese is that the stamp cannot stamp the stainless steel differently without breaking the stamp itself. Additionally, this video made me want some Toblerone.

Well, the design is a solution to the problem every truck or suv has: Drag, caused by the high frontal area, so making it like this almost completly solves that problem and makes it more fuel efficient
At first I didn't like it, but now I love it. It's just different from EVERYTHING else. I Admire any person who has the balls to do that. It good to have options other than the "traditional" ones.
