The simplicity and elegance boggles my mind. Till I started watching your tutorials, I always thought that the more details there were, the better it was. But you taught me different. And this is definitely easier. Thank you!
They look so great!! I think they’ll look even better if they were glued onto dark colored cards!
I was thinking that, too, but white cards are less expensive, and it probably would be easy to just quickly paint a matching wet on dry darker border around the whole card face, or cut a darker cardstock matte for your watercolor panel. That way, you would still have a white card to write on in the middle.
I love how different these the splotch and flower styles are, yet still equally beautiful!
I love playing with watercolor doing small projects like this. I have finally discovered that, while I can't draw anything that looks like what it is intended to look like, I CAN do things like this. And since I have this thing for hydrangeas...it's perfect. There is just something so satisfying about blending colors. Love the black defined borders on the last one as well. Thanks so much.
These are the PRETTIEST and the easiest note cards on UA-cam. Mine came out great and the folks on the receiving end loved them. If you have no talent whatsoever, you can do these. Thank you Shayda!!
I'm a teenager who's pretty new to watercolour, and these videos are so helpful!! so easy to understand, and my gran loved the card i made for her
That is awesome!
This is super cute! I will definitely get card-creative over summer when I have a bit more time! Thank you for all the simple and great ideas!
Thank you for making this channel I absolutely love how you never make anything perfect
I love the fact that u mix this watercolor medium with the card making styles... Thanks
Thank you for keeping it simple and doable! Very pretty💖
Thanks so much for this video - working on both projects with my 8yo. I have made several to send as cards, and just made more to send as a card gift set to a relative. Looking forward to watching more of your videos! Diana
Those cards have such simplistic beauty. Love them. Thanks for sharing.
Painting ballons for birthdays is a great idea too you can create so many ideas
These are so simple yet effective. Lovely ideas.
Shayda, what lovely cards, simple but very elegant. Im a card maker myself, but when ever I try to water colour it never works out, maybe im overthinking as you said. Thank you for sharing♥
I really liked your cards. Tried making a Birthday card, and was inspired by your blue and lavender one with mom written in the corner.
I love your watercolor tutorial videos. There's something about your voice that is so soothing and makes me believe in myself, as silly as that sounds! I actually followed a few just for some practice, and received some nice compliments about them. Thank you for uploading these, will continue to follow you! :)
LOVE this video. Going to make some flower greeting cards during this wild time in the world (hopefully will bring folks joy). Not sure if I have the right brush set though...will make do
These are just gorgeous! Did one so quickly today to send to a friend for her birthday. Thanks so much. You really are inspiring!
Lovely inspiration, thank you. Another trick to get your water colored mats flattened, after the are dry run them through your die cutting machine with just the plates. I like to fold a card stock sleeve to encase the mat. The pressure of the machine will flatten them easily. Just subbed to your channel. Patti.
Beautiful work and thank you for all the tips as you are making them. I'm new to watercolors but I might take a leap and try this!
They are so beautiful Shayda, thank you!
They are very pretty! Thank you for sharing!!!Liz x

Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for sharing your technique.
Thank you. You made this look so easy.
This is so simple and chic! I love everything about it!
Beautiful and fun to watch 🎨
Sooo beautiful
Nice paintings! I'd rather leave it as it is - without glueing the watercolor paper to the card base, just trim off the edges. You can write the greeting on the back side, it would be much easier to mail.
So pretty, you have me believing I can make them!
Beautiful cards! I love the simple designs of these.
So beautiful, elegant n cool...love from Pakistan
Beautiful & great ideas!
Absolutely love these! Can’t wait to try this.
I am crazy about this style of notecards!! Any tips on getting a good tear of the watercolor paper? I have tried it but it doesn't look as nice as yours :). thanks for the video!

Hi Shayda,
I really like your videos and am totally looking forward to doing a travel journal in September! 😍 I wanted to ask, how strong you pen is. HB / H / B...? :)
Thank you for the ideas! My mom's going to be getting a watercolor greeting card this year. 😊🌸
Wow, I love this. .... Thanks for the wonderful video. ...💜💜💜💜
Beautiful…I actually iron my cards to flatten. 😂😂😂😂. I’m a senior😂
So beautiful!! Thankss Shaydaaa! ♡
Love those cards. They look like I might even be able to do a card like that. TFS!
I love the hydrangea cards, I can’t wait to try some. What do you use to glue the watercolor paper to the card stock?
Your work is beautiful and the video is simple to understand. I can't understand why anyone would give you a thumbs down. It is definitely a thumbs up from me and a new subscriber too! :)
LindenGroveBlog I thought that was very strange, too. Shayda has the best tutorials and the sweetest personality!
Lets do this! look really nice and beautyful! Thank ypu Shayda like always for inspiring me and realxing XXX Minia
Thank you for another lesson! I have a stupid question...Is there a technique to ripping your watercolor paper? Love your choice of colors, always! 🤓🌻👒
Cheryl Thomae-Barnes Yes! I just use a ruler and rip the paper myself on a flat, hard surface.
All so lovely. Do you have tutorials for children,s birthday cards, preferably three year olds?
I love splotches!
Love u shayda😍😍😍😍
Your hand writing was really good 💖💖
The designs are very pretty! Thank you for sharing them with us. What brush did you use in this video? It seems as if it has a nice tip, and Im looking for brushes at the moment.

Super cute! Thanks!
Uauuu!! ..so ..so Beautiful!.. Thanks, thanks and thanks!.. kisses from spain 😚💖💕
Simple and oh-so-sweet, I might even be able to make these! p.s. is that ring an antique? My engagement ring is almost exactly the same and it belonged to my grandmother - probably from the 1920's (in Australia!)
Kellie Stephens Aw thank you! So cool. My ring is not antique but was made in an art deco style, which I love cuz it looks vintage. ❤️
Love it
such a beautiful video this is ❤️❤️
I love it!!!!!!
Beautiful!
Este es mi canal favorito de UA-cam.
Estoy tan contenta de que te guste mi canal! Gracias por mirar :)
Gracias!
Thank you. I just made the micron pen outlined flowers. I couldn't figure out how to make such light colors, but it still looks pretty good. I've seen some pretty vivid hydrangeas, so I'm ok with it. But...and this is a big but...how do you mix such light colors?
I hope you do more of these how-to make quick watercolor flowers and other nature-y things. It's lots of fun.
SuzyQ Just add lots and lots of water to the paints and maybe mix a little white in to, if you have white watercolor in the set you're using. But mostly just add loads of water and keep it really transparent. You can always add more layers of paint if it's too light on the first go
Amazing😍
Love to watch 😍💙💙💓
Really wonderful ❤
Wow
My mother really like it
How nice and beautiful !
Beautiful !what brush are you using?
