For hardcore you want to distribute loot somewhat evenly. Last week he got 2 items and the sword/oh combo would’ve been insanely good. It would mean that every staff would’ve been passed since his combo was top tier for their progression currently. The other items is kinda whack he didn’t get to roll though IMO, cause the dude who got the sword also got the ring I think. It honestly should’ve been him and the other mage with the OH rolling for the sword only. Now they have a mage with an insane MH, and a decent off hand, and two mages with insane OHs but mid MH. They could’ve had one decked mage, and next sword is rez for other guy unless someone else gets that OH.

The way loot is distributed in classic is horrid. I still remember quitting classic after my guild didn't let me roll on anything after my first MC. Glad I did.
My guild fell apart after I let a bracer goto a priest. I didn’t realize he had already gotten it earlier in that same run. And it was a BOE so he tried to sell it in AH, I messaged him and let him know it would help the guild a lot to give that to someone, not realizing he already had it. He said that’s my fault and he wants his epic mount. Ppl were mad I couldn’t get them back, ppl took my side and his side, it caused a huge rift. I even had a Edward the Odd drop and I free rolled it to everyone instead of banking it. I tried to be a good leader but some people are pricks. I can’t keep up with everyone’s gear when I’m leading 40 people, organizing times that work and doing a soft merge (we raided with another guild but were 2 separate guilds) and I gave those away by accident.
I quit after that, I helped multiple people gear up to prebis, sent out full leather kits from 20-60 for people’s friends on rogues/hunters/shamans. My brother played with another guild and did 3 BWL and 3 MCs, he was one of the better warriors. They loot counciled their friends and he never got loot, after the 3rd week he lost BRE which is the main item he had been wanting to PvP with. He quit after that. LC sucks, soft res with light LC is much better
lol 36 people in VC is like record. Usually only ~30 even had voice back then and another 5 were in kitchen, feeding their dog or just afk.
Imagine this... Your 11yr twitch anniversary you play wow classic HC and raid MC you clear all but 2 bosses then at the end of the raid..... you can't even roll on the loot.
My issue is not necessarily that he didn’t get to roll it’s that he didn’t know what was going on… dude had all these viewers raiding with HIS guild and then has to be embarrassed like that in front of them wondering why he doesn’t get to roll, they acted like they had discussed it beforehand but clearly that’s not true if the number 1 viewed streamer of the game at that time didn’t even know if he wasn’t going to get to roll….
He was told there was a loot prio change multiple times before this on stream. Issue is he didn’t pay attention and basically only logs in to raid on horde and has no further interaction with his guild afterwards. Xaryu is my favorite streamer but dude basically ignores “his” guild while the officers run everything

Man wants to play an alt, and instantly gets the cold shoulder, idk what you're on about.

Yeah its kind of crazy he basically wasn't allowed to roll on anything. I could understand the TOEP as he got ZHC which is very similar so of course you would want to spread out that item but there is zero reason he was not able to roll on mageblade. This is why i don't like loot council where gear decisions are being made for people without their input or knowledge. Everyone should have the ability to voice their opinion on what loot they want and if everyone involved cannot come to a fair arrangement then it should just be rolled off.
@kylesmith987 I mean normally loot council is the way to go you don't want to gear the bad players first. This will make your good players resentful. But xaryu is obviously extremely skilled and knowledgeable so I would consider him for any loot I could

@@RetroRanger88it wasn’t about him playing an alt. They said ages ago about Changing the loot system. He hasn’t been around and paid attention to that or filled out the forms so hence did himself out of loot. Others in the guild have been farming rep for douses and planning strats etc. He was still allowed to roll on the sword. It makes no sense to give him talisman as he already has zhc. He wasn’t complaining in zg when other ppl were losing loot because he hadn’t grinded out bis and they had.

IMHO you can tell how good a raid lead is based on how aware and actionable their calls are. These guys don't seem to have that much experience raid leading given most of their calls are things like "we need accountability", "pay attention", "do damage" 😅. Started the raid saying "every voice chat should add value" then they just pontificate the whole raid instead of making real calls 🤡. Even the living bomb calls, they consistently call it when the person is already out of the raid and standing in their spot "SO AND SO GET OUT" bro they've been out for 10 seconds you're just reading DBM not raid leading 😅. Or "we need to wait to talk about this death until after" literally half a second later mob dies and they keep discussing it - bros saying clear comms reflexively with no awareness that the fights already over.
Not trying to hate, very well done for being a twitch chat raid. I just think find it amusing when people take themselves so seriously when they clearly don't know what they're doing. The job of a raidleader isn't to read DBM out loud and commentate what's already happening in a raid - raid leads job is to have awareness and call changes that need to happen or things that people aren't doing that they should be.

That was clearly a joke statement. The loot prio was very public with all the raiders and has been discussed in the guilds raiding channels for a while where anyone could have input on how it works.
