I definitely feel like Hip Hop at its roots has always favoured patience, swag, flava, nonchalence in its rounds, and that's where you can really vibe with it when you have a good dancer to channel it (Alex / Nathy / Lumii / Icee ...) with the bounce, groove and fluidity in the flow. I really feel like I understand it's essence after so many years of studying this dance.
Facts
Dancing aside, the Krump fams really elevate the dance. Being part of a fam really creates the community aspect and the big homies with the experience and knowledge lab you up and keep the fam progressing. There are crews, but not everyone is in one, but EVERYBODY, is in a fam. Every krumper is either a Jr, lil, twin, ace, killa etc. OR even a hybrid: Bullzeye (eyex+mijo) etc. On Top of AKAs which create more lil homies and each name is a different character. So, you have krumpers walking around with like 3 different characters each with their own style. Coasts are also fams lol You'll see East side thrown up, South Side, West side, Midwest.
Ryat was looking like krump kings golden era in this battle man. Legendary buck. Solow always has lively energy.

Nevertheless, I miss some consistency, I feel like there are a lot of resets, but maybe this has to do with Krump as a style and it's just my preference of having continuity in the dance.

I think its ingrained in the style. Like stops & pauses work as punchlines (especially after a concept got its setup and payoff) and it makes the crowd react. It relates a lot to how crowds react to Litefeet performances, where "Locking in" constitutes the punchline and brings the hype.
