  • What an amazing flight! This was my very first time flying on an inaugural flight and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! Very cool of Cape Air to set up a small party at the check in desk in Manistee as well! Also, shoutout to Captain Andrew for taking the time to show me around the airplane! If you're reading this Andrew, thanks so much for everything! That flight was one of my favorites I've ever taken!
The Tecnam is a game changer as well for smaller commuter aircraft. It has insanely good leg and head room, even for a 6'3 guy like myself. Personal USB ports, cupholders, air vents, under seat storage, etc.. It's no wonder it's such an upgrade for passengers over the old Cessna 402! I cannot wait to get on one of these again, and I hope you all will do the same!
Hope you all enjoy the video!

I have followed the story/process around the design and development of the P2012 between Cape Air and Tecnam from start to delivery. This is the first time I've really seen a 'normal flight' operation! It's a very cool airplane, albeit a 'rare bird' these days. LOL I believe it's the only piston twin with that capacity being produced today, and for sure the only clean sheet design like that in many years!! It looks like it did it's job very well! I can't wait to fly one some day!! 8) Thanks for sharing the video! --gary

What a great video! A ride on an unusual aircraft between a truly off the beaten path community and an airport the size of a fair sized town. Journeys aboard these types of planes on these routes give you an aerial perspective you just don’t get at 35,000 feet aboard a 737.

Now that was a sunrise flight for the ages.
Flying had a feature article on the P2012, basically saying it was built for Cape Air, with their needs in mind etc. It was right before certification, and Cape Air had ordered 100 I believe. Nice article.. and nice to see it in action.

Great Video. I feel like the pilots who fly those kind of planes in the Midwest region are more friendly about filming and use of electronics. A few weeks ago, I flew CapeAir from Boston to Nantucket and the pilot I had was also named Andrew and he was very strict about the electronic rule. He wanted phones shut off completely and not on Airplane mode. And he didn't want cameras being used either. Which meant I couldn't film the flight
