    I had a Korg X5 keyboard back in the day and it was a great little instrument. I loved the feel of the keyboard and the sounds were great for the time. Even great sounds for now as well.

      I frequently ponder who is responsible for assigning names to these sounds and how they establish the naming rules. The intriguing part is that sound names tend to be exceptionally precise, typically consisting of no more than two descriptive words!

    my X5DR sound module is extremely low sound even with the volume knob to the maximum, either by the output of headphones or line output, could someone give me some idea what it will be? the rest of the module works very well, with all its buttons and screen

    Some wonderful, and usable sounds still in this little box waiting to burst out. I have one but haven't used it for ages. Now I know what I've missed!! 👍😀
    Am I right in saying this has two sets of sounds, A & B ? and you have to switch between them ? Not sure how you did this without digging the manual out if so.

      Yes to both questions! An "indirect" link to the manual is in the description BUT here's the direct link: i.korg.com/uploads/Support/X5DR_Manual_633661867244240000.pdf

    grabenlos y subenlos, hagan estos recorridos de sonidos.

    How do I keep my module on strings from changing when I switch my keyboard from acoustic piano to electric piano or some other instrument. I only use it for the strings but it changes on me in the middle of a song when I change the program on my keyboard.

    Do You know if it's possible add new patches to the module?

    • @VelikoBekir
      @VelikoBekir  2 роки тому +3

      No, you can't ADD patches. What you CAN do is to program an existing sound with replacement parameters using the knobs.

    Great demo :-). I'm just wondering, how does this unit compare with the presets inside the Korg 01W/FD? Are all the sounds 'the same' as the 01W or not? Thanks a lot.

      The list of presets and other sounds for the X5DR are not included in any of Korg’s PDF files and are only printed in the hard copy of the manual, BUT, this guy uploaded those! Here is a link for all the X5DR sounds (look at the last 10 pages): www.zikinf.com/manuels/korg-x5dr-mode-d-emploi-fr-46383.pdf and here is the sound list for the 01W: cdn.korg.com/us/support/download/files/e5d78bb513405f8e6aec0ca50b6a8d3c.pdf?response-content-disposition=inline%3Bfilename%2A%3DUTF-8%27%2701WFD_VoiceName.pdf&response-content-type=application%2Fpdf%3B

      I bet that the 01 has a little better quality but less waveforms in Rom memory to start with. More, the 01 is a little more "synth" since it has the "waveshaping" option, a thing thay the 05 and X5 don't have.....

    • @littlebritain64
      @littlebritain64 Рік тому

      I got one, great little box! It came after the 01 serie, so I guess if it has more sounds in memory or more polyphony (64 voices!).
      Apart being or not as punchy as the more expensive big brother I would dare that they should sound similar if not exactly sounding on some presets rebuilt on the little one! The sensation is the same, You could recognize these Korg sounds on some fictions, as on first seasons of "Law and Order", to name one.

    How do I change octave on korg x5dr cheers

    • @VelikoBekir
      @VelikoBekir  4 роки тому +1

      Transposing:
      Changing the Note Range Use 0B TRANSPOSE in Global mode to change the note range.
      You can shift the range in semitones: +12 to move up one octave, and -12 to move down one octave. (See page 147 below)
      If you wish to transpose each Timbre in a Combination individually, use page 5A and 5B TRANS of page 103 below.
      If you want to transpose each track individually, use page *C Transpose (See page 110 below)
      The user manual with above referenced pages is here:

    Can I download these instruments? I need them to make BEMC’s

    • @VelikoBekir
      @VelikoBekir  3 роки тому +3

      I don’t know what BEMC’s are. I Googled it with no good answer on what that is. But to answer your question, no because instruments cannot be downloaded; you're locked in to the built-in instruments and sounds :-(
      BUT, did you mean EDM? You can create lots of great electronic dance music by using the 100% FREE Bandlab by Cakewalk! It has tons of loops and sounds. You can download it directly from Cakewalk here: www.bandlab.com/products/cakewalk but you will have to create a (free) login account. Again, it’s all free!

      Here are a few Browser tips that very few people are aware of:
      1) If your mouse has a wheel on it, holding the “ctrl” and scrolling up or down on a page will change the test size
      2) If you have multiple tabs open, you can click and drag a tab to different position or even move it off the window as a new browser.
      3) If you have a browser open, you can always open an additional tab and use the search are of that tab to “paste” some text you “saved”. This may tip may not seem initially helpful unless you do a lot of cut and pasting

      Since this module isn't digital (MIDI ports only), I'm not sure HOW to extract and save any of the built-in sound fonts. If you know how, let me know and I'd be happy to email you the file(s).
