It's a confusing graph, but let me try to explain: - If we buy 400 million gallons from a supplier, we don't get the >300M price for ALL 400 million gallons, just for the gallons that are over 300M. - So, for the first 100m gallons we buy, we pay full price - For the 200M that follow (which fall in the 100M - 300M range) we pay the middle price - And only for the last 100M (everything OVER 300M) we pay lowest price
