Note 2: I didn't include any from Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright because I couldn't find any Japanese voice clips, and also none from Dai Gyakuten Saiban or The Great Ace Attorney because the translation is very recent so there are not enough resources on it. If you happen to have those files, it'd be very much appreciated, and I'll create a remastered video.

I hate how they changed Apollo’s voice in DD and SOJ. He sounds just like Phoenix. In a year his voice shouldn’t change so much imo. All of his AJ voice clips were phenomenal.
I headcanon his voice to be blown out from his chords of steel exercises that his got a lot more raspy over the course of the games, because the voice being that way doesn't make sense otherwise.
Facts!! And it just sounds so much weaker, too. He should be belting out that "Objection!"
In my opinion you can’t beat the voice acting from the original game.

I can't get over how dumb a decision it was to remove the old voice lines in the DS -> 3DS transition. The voice clips for Phoenix and Apollo in DD and SoJ are so weak that it doesn't even feel good to object anymore. In AA4, finding someone's nervous habit and hearing Apollo's GOOOOOOTCHAH was insanely cathartic but in AA5/AA6 it's just whatever.
Literally Phoenix, Apollo, Klavier sound the same in DD, the new voices no longer have the unique tone in each character
I wish there was a mod to bring back sounds from trilogy to 5 and 6.
And AJ, I can’t stand Apollo’s new voice. I loved how unique the original was. Also I don’t dislike Phoenix’s new voice. I do hate Klavier, Edgeworth and Apollo’s voices in DD onward however.

Listening to this makes me wonder why the 3DS ports had non-bitcrushed voices in the Trilogy, but stuff like the iOS and next gen ports(at least for me with the PlayStation) bitcrushed the sound. Seems kinda off

1. My brother is a big YuGiOh GX fan, and as soon as he found out Jaden and Apollo share same japanese VA he got shocked.
2. I didn't know ProZD voiced Gregory Edgeworth until I heard him voicing Mordecai from Lackadaisy in the comic fandubs, and right there I knew who voiced Gregory.
Klavier used Objection literally only once in Dual Destinies and they got him a brand new voice clip.
Franziska uses Hold it dozens of times in the series and she never got a voice clip for this.
Godot sounds more human in his English voiceline than in his Japanese voiceline

I honestly think that japanese voice of von karma is good, if not better that the english one.

Considering we hadn't seen Edgeworth for that 8-year period I could MAYBE buy that his voice changed, And the same would go for Phoenix if he didn't have the same call outs in AJ, But they were already adults in the trilogy so eh.

If you ever decide to remake this to add in Shields and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles after it comes out, my one suggestion would be to add credits to the voice actor for each clip. This info is always scattered everywhere and the VAs behind the clips (especially for 1-4, plus the fan project for AA:I2) need more recognition imo.

the first time I heard Von Karma's objection I was playing on my "Very Real DS" (I didn't have a DS yet) and when he yelled I literally thought my game had a corrupt file or something for a sec it was so demon-y. 10/10, absolutely fantastic.
