to be fair, we don't really have any idea how strong Sigma is in-lore, EVEN with his mental disorders. all we know is that he's a part of Talon, we've never seen them using him. if they can somehow mind control him and manipulate him to use his power to even a fraction of its full potential, he topples all the other characters in a landslide

Wrong about Reaper. If you look at the Infiltration cinematic, when Sombra says "mission failed target escaped" the camera focuses on Reaper saying "get back to the ship" and every single one of those new revolutionary Volskaya human piloted mechs is on fire as he walks away. This means he was able to destroy those mechs solo with just his shotguns and super soldier abilities. His ability to destroy those new mechs solo is the reason he was one of the original Overwatch members as a super soldier that can take down big bots.

I think Reaper is the ultimate strong in a 1v1 AND he’s the best at making every fight a 1v1. He stealth kills the whole squad.
Is also stated to be immortal too?
@Shawn reaper is just soldier with superpowers, they both got versions of super serum, but now reaper has immortality, and can as far as we know, turn into a gas indefinitely and just not get hit

@Shawn This is about lore, not gameplay. While I do think Soldier would beat Reaper in a 1v1 in lore, it's not because "Oh well he has range and a sprint button!" Soldier is smarter and more levelheaded than Gabriel, while Gabe is more prone to anger and letting emotions get the better of him. This especially is a big weakness considering these two used to be almost like brothers to each other. Soldier would 100% exploit this and make him fall right into his trap.

After "killing" Genji, Hanzo swore never to use a sword again (which is why he uses arrows).
I like to think that if genji and hanzo switched places, Hanzo would be the definition of a raid boss lore wise and in-game
But 'Hanzo with sword' is still not stronger than 'Genji with sword', because, Hanzo with a sword still uses his human arms, whereas Genji has a cybernetic arm that deflects projectiles at inhuman speed
It's a lore fact that hanzo was far better than genji in sword, the cibernetic body ongly gives genji more agility but hanzo it's by far a raid boss if he uses the sword again, and above him it's kirikos mom haha both of them accepted that kirikos mom it's a monster with the sword, after all she is their teacher
@@eunyounguzun2597 uh, no. Hanzo with sword > genji with sword. Hanzo’s technique and prowess with a sword is second only to Kiriko’s mother, who would still slap Genji around.
Also, Hanzo is older than when he killed Genji, and his mentality worsened and that possibly could’ve made him weaker. I’m like 50% sure young Hanzo aka Hanzo w/ sword > current hanzo who lost to cyborg Genji with bow.
Also you have to take into note that Genji knew all of Hanzo’s attacks and patterns while Hanzo had no idea what Genji could do, so Genji was at an unfair advantage in the Dragons cinematic.
I’d go as far to say as Hanzo with a sword/younger Hanzo would defeat current Genji without a scratch.

Hanzo did win his sword battle against Genji, and he himself says that he was far better with a sword than with a bow, but realistically speaking. Hanzo wouldn't stand a chance anymore against genji in 1v1 sword fight.
with all the cybernetics, his time as a blackwatch agent and finally his physical and mental training he went through with zenyatta probably makes him now the superior warrior.
sure in technical skill Hanzo might still have Genji beat, but as far as we can tell for now, Hanzo wouldn't stand a chance against current Genji.
I think Sigma deserves better. He can throw black holes. That would destroy literally everything.

Just like in game I think Junkrat stregnth is similar to symmetra: may not be that strong in a 1 on 1 fight, but when lost in the chaos of the battlefield they can seriously fuck shit up.

Zen ISNT a pacifist. Soldier basically asks why theres a pacifist on the team and Zen basically said “who tf said I was a pacifist”.
I dont know the exact voice lines but that the gist.
I think Zen replies with something like "What makes you think I'm a pacifist?" The fact he used to spar with both Genji and Ramattra (before they went different paths) definitely says something about his strengyh

Sigma should be #1, period. Not only is he capable of understanding one of the elemental forces of the entire existence, he can actually manipulate it at will. Even more, his exposition to the singularity INSIDE a Black Hole seems to have conferred not only the power to control gravity, but some knowledge about divinity. I think he could even be a candidate to attain it later.

Honestly think ana could low-key be raid boss material, maybe not old ana but young ana for sure. Apparently she was just a straight savage back in the day who would do anything to survive. Also I feel if hanzo wasn't constantly in a depressive mid life crisis episode he could be insanely strong.

In a 1v1 zen was able to spar with both genji and rammatra granted this was before ram built his raid boss arms but i'd recon even without those he'd still beat everyone who isnt a raid boss. so in an actual fight zen is definately higher than what u have him

Reaper is literally immortal, he’d just keep coming back. We have seen him die because he is the only one who can die and come back, just like Revenant who has died in a few of the Apex trailers but has also come back due to being practically immortal

Symmetra is still being done so dirty in the lore and in game, yes she is a mere architect and it’s on par to allow her to create giant, skyscrapping buildings in seconds, but she was also trained for clandestine missions to benefit Vishkar, the fact alone that it is shown not only she can build buildings but also high functioning technology in a heart beat is pretty op, unlike Torbjorn of which required to plan and need to screw and weld things together, even yet he’s infamous for his tech having malfunctions too
From what we know Symmetra’s autism makes her stand out from her colleagues in a way that she doesn’t need to do precise measurements or planning in her work, you need a certain machine for said certain situation, she just needs to think about it and create a functioning technology that serve said purpose
What is merely holding her back is her strong sense of order and still on leash with the Vishkar corporation, aside from that Symmetra would be insanely versatile in a combat situation

dude zen and rammatra literally trained with each other back in the shamboli monastery and he can actually do some insane shit if he wanted to,plus he's genji's mentor.Yea sure he mainly taught genji life lessons and how to accept himself but there are voicelines that indicate genji and zen doing some physical training tgt
When Ramattra kills Zenyatta with a quick melee he literally says "You taught me that one!" indicating that they indeed did spar on occasions

canonically if sigma wasn't being controlled he would be the strongest hero but even while being controlled he is a raid boss. Zarya needs a specially made gun to replicate a fraction of what sigma can do with his hands.

NGL Sombra and Zen should be in Raid Boss.
Sombra would be the last mastermind you would face in the lore.
Zen can literally ascend into a higher state of being.
Pretty sure Zen's transcendence is not cannon, just like how Discord and Harmony orbs aren't

firstly i think we're forgetting that junkrat has broken into some of the most secure places on earth and has a bounty of 25 million. secondly lucio started a full on uprising in rio with just his music. bap in lore is actually strong on a large scale as we see him wiping the floor with a platoon of talon operatives. With ana you have to put her lower than widow since ana lost to her. Finally although its a stretch hog could be raid boss or at least higher than sombra since in an interaction even sombra states that no one is gonna stop hog he was also prominent in the m.l.a who started a civil war against the australian government
Technically Ana never ‘lost’ to widowmaker in the lore in the sense of being the lesser sniper which was most definitely widowmaker.
Ana would've definitely beat widow in the fight, but she hesitated on her shot when seeing her opponent was Lacroix. Due to her hesitation, she was shot through her scope and "lost." If the circumstances were different, and the shock factor wasn't there for Ana, she would've beat widowmaker 100%.

Reaper was able to beat a full squad of hyper-advanced mechs in Infiltration, we could see quite clearly how powerful those robots were, considering their damage capabilities (their laser beans resembled Zarya's a lot, they clearly could destroy anything they touched with ease).
Reaper also doesn't seem to have struggled against them, although he did take a beating at the beginning of the fight, so my guess is that he's really REALLY strong. That's why he's such a threat to Overwatch anyway.
I believe zaryas laser is from one of those machines or a machine like it, but I may be wrong
We’ll Reaper only loses due to plot armor of his opponents. We seen him destroy Winston multiple times then get cycled by plot armor, we’ve seen him take on a literal giant mech, and when you sit down and think about his power he is perfectly suited to beat everyone in the Overwatch universe except for Sigma who is the Strongest character in the Ow universe which his total control of Gravity.
This list seems to be in the sense of straight up fights but in universe Moira would be scary in an intelligent sense and Symetra is a construct worker also Junkrat at least deserves mid he is a deranged explosive obsessed lunatic and though you say he fails at everything but there is a $25,000,000 reward for him cause he’s been on a successful world wide heist spree with Roadhog.

Reaper lost twice to Winston, a raid boss, and his plan to “meet” Katia was fooled by Sombra. As well as being the leader of blackwatch. It seems like his fights aren’t a bit fair.

Honestly yea, reaper has the same if not better training as Soldier 76, plus his morph and wraith abilities are not on coooldown, he could dodge D-va bomb, well anything.
Not only that, Reaper is also an immortal being, so I don't see how he'd be anything shorter than a Raid Boss

Sigma, Reaper and Zen should all be in Raid boss. Sigma is known for being the strongest character because he can control black holes, Reaper won a fight against Winston, and Zen trained Genji to make him as strong has he is now
I wouldn't put Sigma as top tier just yet because we know literally nothing about his powers, other than a vague relation to gravity. He certainly could be a raid boss but it's a little too soon to make that call since we haven't seen him fight in any cinematics, comics, or short stories.

@Tau-5 There is a reason Reaper and Widowmaker are DOOMFIST'S Lieutenants. Not to mention Reaper fought a Winston who has been out of activity for nearly a decade, meanwhile Doomfist fought an active agent Winston in his prime.
@@ktm1125 Them being under his lead of Talon has nothing to do with their power. Sigma is under Moira who is under Doomfist as well, but that doesn't mean that he's weaker. Widow is a brainwashed assassin and Reaper has a personal, single-minded vendetta against Overwatch, while Doomfist is the only one who has the vision and administrative prowess to actually lead the organization.
I think Hanzo was done dirty… if Genji is a raid boss, Hanzo should at least be strong af or even raid boss too, because in lore Hanzo beats Gengi and has even trained his skills for longer and to greater skill… the “better with a bow” quote should be taken for granted I think, we should take it as true because it probably is

No in lore Hanzo loses to Genji. Genji spent all his time training. Sure, Hanzo has the potential to reach Genji status, but at the moment he’s a broken man. I mean his only cinematic is a 1v1 against Genji and he lost.

I would even go as to say that if he REALLY wanted, he could have had a chance against genji even with a bow, but then again, he would never hurt genji again, so ESPECIFICALLY against him he could lose, but in general I think he has the edge, especially considering genji spent years meditating and not training, while hanzo spent more time still training

I think tracer has the most untapped potential. she has the potential to do some insane stuff with her powers, but as of the moment she only uses them in a linear and straightforward fashion. if she could try to work on expanding her control over her powers to be able to do new and unique things with them, she has the potential to be one of the most powerful beings on the planet
junkrat is literally one of the greatest strategists in this universe as he and roadhog alone came up with a plan to steal money from various locations around the world and managed to escape, as they were very wanted

Junker Queen is definitely a raid boss. In her intro cinematic she beat up mech suits as a normal, barely armored person.

Zen, sigma, reaper. SEVERELY underrated
Important note about Reaper's mission in Volskaya: in the "Masquerade" comic, it is revealed in a conversation between Reaper and Doomfist (right after the latter escaped prison) that Reaper was aware of Sombra's sabotage + meeting with Katya Volskaya. But he decided to keep his cards close to himself. (it doesn't confirm whether or not he knew what she would do before they got to Volskaya Industries tho)
Also, it is revealed in the same comic that Reaper got a portion of the Overwatch database when he invaded their headquarters in the Recall (Winton's) cinematic, so his mission wasn't a complete failure, it just didn't turn out perfect.
He's quite fast in the lore and not dumb at all. In fact, he seems way more cunning than Soldier 76. Definitely strong in a 1v1 --- which he never got to have, it has always been vs 2 or more, which is why he's often seen retreating in the stories.
Zenyatta would neutralize almost this entire roster, I mean he made Genji the raid boss he is, he’s definitely Raid Boss in terms of strength

Echo is a raid boss she could duplicate a raid and in the lore her duplication has no limitations whilst making her 10x more efficient than who she’s duplicating

I love this list it’s pretty accurate to me. I personally would have maybe put Hanzo a little bit higher, just because of the spirit dragons. I think people underestimate how insanely powerful Dragonblade and Dragonstrike really would be. It’s literally the brothers using mystical dragons to fight by their side

I feel like we didn't weight the Archives missions enough. Are they "lore?" Because the Kings Row mission should bump Torb up significantly on payload turret merit, and maybe Reaper deserves a bump as well because he absolutely will extrajudicially shoot you in the face. That basically puts him on par with Widow - different method, same results.
Wow I'm surprised no one talked about sojourn being put at mid I think at a certain point she was just superior to humans but later on after getting more upgrades she goes to being superior to omnics even beating an OR model in hand to hand everything about her is enchanced including her brain she's the greatest tactician overwatch has seen that's like all I can think of atm hopefully other people see she should be higher too 😆

Zenyatta a pushover? Dude has the power to manipulate the emotions of others with Harmony and Discord orbs, can achieve literal enlightenment and become invulnerable to all damage (basically becomes a God, if you count that ability as canon), and has canonically beaten GENJI in sparring sessions pretty badly.

In lore I would have Zenyatta up there with Genji and Rammatra since they both consider him a great fighter, I feel like he wouldn't initiate a fight but is quite ready to humble someone if need be. I agree with the list besides that.

Okay I understand you probably haven’t read too much of the comics or into the lore but Zenyatta is actually stronger than genji. When zen trained genji, genji never once won a battle against him. Also reaper caused Winston some trouble so I’d put him in atleast “strong in a 1v1”
Moira was a little underrated in this one, remember that she get can vanish and pop out of nowhere everytime she wants to literally suck life out of you, not to mention that she also use this energy to heal herself, so she won’t fall that easy. She’s at least in the strong 1v1 tier imo.
reaper is borderline immortal, Hanzo soloed a dragon-demon thing, Junkrat is an explosives expert, and Brigitte was formally trained by rein.

tbh i think the fact that reaper can become an invulnerable mist at will puts him quite high, also his death blossom from the short seemed quite catastrophic.
Exactly especially that he is stronger than soldier. Both have gone to the soldier enhancement program which already is a boost. Now add his fast regenerate cells. Which he uses to teleport, become invulnerable, and summon items out of thin air
Hot take but Tracer should be placed below Hammond. Genji even said in lore that she was the only sparring partner he had trouble keeping up with.
In cinematics, none of the heroes are visually injured/bleed from each other's attacks (Hanzo vs Genji no one actually gets hurt other than dragon which doesn't show damage, Reaper shotguns only hit Winston's armour, ending of Cassidy vs Ashe is Ashe tied up) but other heroes get to fight minions/low tier enemies that they can kill which is why they seem so strong. Tracer only fights other heroes which with cinematic rules means she can't hurt them with her bullets, just be an annoying trickster.
If Tracer could really hit heroes with her bullets, she'd win against most of the no armour heroes because her pulse pistols fire lots of bullets quickly and her speed lets her dodge the opponent's attacks. Assuming all bullets are the same damage and hurt just like in real life, Tracer would outduel anyone without armour just by firing 40 bullets every second at them. Widow would have died in her cinematic if Tracer was allowed to hit any of her shots because the pain of being shot will weaken her which lets more bullets hit her.
He said he had trouble keeping up, not that he couldn’t. She literally blinks through time and lost to widow and doom.

Doom is a raid boss so it makes sense that Tracer will lose to him. If you read my comment you'll know that Tracer only lost to Widow because in cinematics, heroes don't hit each other with their bullets unless they're hitting armour but they can kill NPCs just fine. Otherwise, Tracer would've won against Widow if she was allowed to hit her shots.
Tracer's main weakness is ironically characters with superhuman reflexes and speed (Genji and Doom) because they can keep up with her blinks. Other than that, if you can survive past a certain amount of time, Tracer's chronal accelerator might overheat which is why characters with armour have a chance against her. Characters who wear normal clothing or skintight suits and aren't very fast (Widow) would not be able to take more than a few of Tracer's bullets and would die.
@@willyboi1105 doom does not have super reflex’s. In the cinematic he observed and watched tracers pattern. Tracer also had significant issues with reaper and widow. She was losing again until the kids stepped in. Yes you’re right technically tracer should be great but in every cinematic she’s on her back foot or losing

Much like in game zen is the sleeper pick. The man literally enters a higher form of existance and cannot be killed, for the longest duration and isnt limited by a fragile drone like bap. Hes admited to be at least an equal to ramattra who personally respects his wisdom and he is genji's martial arts master/mentor. Definitley a raid boss if peace is not an option. He cannot attack during transcendence in game, but his orbs become *giant* golden spheres pulstating with what looks to be unlimited other worldly energy. Just imagine if he started fastballing those around and you literally couldnt touch him in that state he is literally in godmode
Roadhog can pull a giant metal mech to him from long distance with only 1 arm without breaking a sweat, that's SUPERHUMAN strenght.he should be higher tbh
I think junker queen is a raid boss with all of her voice lines commanding people who are raid bosses also her line with doom sounds too cool also therein her cinematic she’s holding back and being merciful

Junk is infamous for doing big heist with Hog, and even has a huge bounty. Junk is also the dude who made all of his tech, and his items are pretty decent considering what he had at his disposal. And if Ana gets big rank because of tactics, soldier should also get ranked up, because he was in the army, and unlike Ana, actually has bodily upgrades.

Although Orisa was made to beat doom I think she would definitely still lose in a 1v1 with him, mainly because doom was able to solo an entire army of robots that were the same type of model as orisa in numbani but orisa is a bit stronger than them so I’m not sure.
In the lore pre overwatch short, Hanzo beats genji in a fight and in hanzos resentment he stops using swords as a whole as it brings him down the dark parts again of when he thought he killed his brother

I believe that in the Zero Hour cinematic, Genji could mop the floor with Doomfist. Because in Genji's lore, he was still conflicted about being a cyborg in that fight with Doom, so he was certainly not at his peak level and so he got destroyed. After being bodied by Doomfist, Zenyatta became his master and made him the man he is now. No longer caring about being a cyborg and learning inner peace, he got a lot stronger. I think he could 100% defeat Doomfist.
I believe that in the doomfist cinematic he fucking toys with tracer and genji simultaneously and only lost due to Winston going primal
The only feet genji has that's impressive, is the deflect. What he himself outputs is very mid. He kills less bots than brig.

A giant robot that was destroying Tracer, Winston, and Mei all at once before he showed up. Genji's reaction speed, strength, and sword combat is on par to that of Raiden from Metal Gear.

Agree with this list except for Junker Queen. She is absolutely a raid boss. In the lore she killed the "5 metal demons of the burning lands" which I'm pretty sure are those god AI omics, like the one that dva fights. She killed FIVE.
In the video the metal demons just look to be 15 or 20 feet tall at max, compared to the kaiju sized gwishin omnic.

omnics in overwatch have often been shown to have a type of technological or literal soul. It’s what gets healed and damaged and connects them to the iris. That’s what moira would be damaging including any type of technology they posses like the talon troops they take on in retribution. Also she gave gabriel his powers so i would say in that regard she’s more like torbjorn (needs prep time to be most effective) but she is an experienced fighter in the same type of way as torbjorn too, i would say she’s stronger then him because of the healing and taking on actual humans in a suicide mission and surviving unlike torb who lost his arm and eye against omnics.

A black hole the size of a coin can destroy (but not absorb) the entire earth, sigma’s black hole ability starts at around 1cm and grows up to 30~cm. Assuming its size also increases its power, it would Definetly be powerful enough to delete literally anything to do with earth, if not more

Zarya has a gun that also shoots "black holes" and survives just fine being right next to them. Just approximating the mass of a singularity based on visual evidence isn't enough to make a true judgment about Sigma's power. We'd need to first actually see him fight someone in lore.

Just saying a character has gravity powers or can create "black holes" doesn't mean that they are creating actual singularities, or are able to delete earth as you say, hell we actually see Zarya use her graviton surge in the comic against Sombra, a mostly regular person, and she isn't spaghettified. Since we have even less evidence to make any calls about how strong Sigma is, he could either be the weakest or strongest tank in lore.

Reaper and Zenyatta are two of the strongest characters. Reaper wipes the floor with all of the Overwatch Agents, but ends up losing in one attack because of plot armor. He can’t die, and you can’t hurt him in Wraith Form, and he basically can clear a building with Death Blossom.
Then Zen is Zen. He’s mastered Harmony and Discord and can transcend reality on command. Genji never touched him during any of his training.
Reaper is in 3 cinematics. In two of them he is defeated and in the third he wrecks everyone's ass and only leaves because Sombra had her own goals. And you're forgetting he's literally immortal.

Doomfist is the main villain of the setting, he has to be the strongest for plot reason. He took out a entire Overwatch team by himself, his punch can move mountains, etc.. as power goes, Sigma is supposed to be the strongest, but he can't control his powers. If you take in consideration how Doom can brainwash Sigma to utilize his gravity powers to his favor, who is the real threat?

Ya but genji crushed him in the cinematic and he wasn’t even trying to kill Hanzo. Hanzo thought he was being attacked by an assassin and still lost. Hanzo says he’s better with a sword but refuses to use it ultimately making him worse than his initial battle

Imma have to disagree on Moira being mid. That bitch is basically controlling Sigma, Widow and Reaper. Apparently she's an important piece in Talon so Doomfist can't exactly remove her very easily. She can literally succ the life out of people. Yeah she's not great against giant robots etc but why should she even fight them when she can have others to do it her, y'know? xD If they get banged up, she'll just heal them and send them out again since her heals are massive too. More so than Mercy I think.
But again I might be biased cuz I like playing her so :p
I have a problem with where you put Junkrat, according to the cinematic he is wanted from all around the world for blowing up lots of things and beating the best security known to man in banks, he even has a 20 million dollar bounty on him, that's just so much and with his bear trap and his mines, he could pull off a lot, he even grew up without a mother
