Oh whoops must have accidently duplicated a clip in the editor, I should have payed more attention. I will pin this comment and write a not in the description about the mistake. Edit: I think this whole video was processed a bit incorrectly by the editor, it seems rather fuzzy at some points.
I live in Port Kennedy and I am lucky to have 3 bus services that go directly to Rockingham via Warnbro Station and 1 direct to Warnbro Station only. It is only about a 10 minute ride to Rocko so I usually get the train to Perth from Warnbro station, so it is pretty ideal for both bus and train services. 558, 559, 560 and 561. I am retired so I dont worry as to which service to catch. I can even walk or cycle to Warnbro station as the car park can fill up very quickly.
@@TransportofPerth And. They added the announcements to say "Next station Rockingham, Where this service terminates." and "This is Rockingham, This service terminates here." They no longer do "This train terminates at this station, All passengers please alight" now.
@@TheOfficialMelonyTrainFan No these announcements always existed as there is a once a day Rockingham K pattern that terminates at Rockingham regularly.
I have already made numerous videos on this shutdown, which is the "typical" one for the Mandurah line, including this one (ua-cam.com/video/U3xzAe5OBlQ/v-deo.html) and this one (ua-cam.com/video/4YnUO_lpBco/v-deo.html), there is no point of doing another one.
I wonder why they terminated it at Rockingham instead of Warnbro. There are crossovers at Karnup, which is north of Lakelands, so presumably they could have just used the crossovers there to turn around.
Hmm I never knew there were crossovers there. Why is there? It is a rather impractical location to get out of the train and switch sides and would require more trains just to serve one extra station which is five minutes away by replacement bus. Also, there would be no annoucements that would work for Warnbro, unlike there is for Rockingham.
10:00 What's happening?
