I loved the BBC Radio Drama series and I'm sure I'll love this series, too so, bring it on!
I enjoyed this show & look forward to season 2. Syal is great & punches up the writing with her trademark wit. The main cast has good chemistry & diversity. E1 did a lot of heavy lifting to establish character backstory & dynamics. E2 had the most unexpected killer. E3 utilized food the best. E4 focused less on direct collaboration between Sidhu & the inspector. It was also the grittiest / most blue collar. Curious to see S2 have six tighter, hour-long episodes as 80-90 minutes was slightly too long for lighter mystery fare. The inspector should live with Sidhu in S2.
Last night, I watched all 4 episodes from Series 1 and really enjoyed the series. I've watched a lot of heavy stuff lately, and I enjoyed the lightness of this. We can't all like the same things.
I liked that they have spent time establishing the characters, and I'm looking forward to Series 2.
I'm in Australia and watched this on Acorn, which is part of my Amazon Prime subscription, which in turn is part of my Foxtel cable subscriptiin.

I love most of the gritty mysteries, but I am often in the mood for a light one with humor like Shakespeare and Hathaway. This looks great!

Watching the first one, not really enjoying, it seems to be trying to hard, hopefully the second one is better, if not I won't be watching anymore.
