Honestly love that it looks like they're not even taking themselves seriously at this point. Just looks like a really fun shark movie.
A serious tone obviously would not work for this movie. This is just a dumb, turn your brain off to type movie and the creators know it. They're self aware
that's the reason why I'm going to watch, it's total bullshhttt but I love it.
It's a nice reprieve from the "woke" and just downright shhhtttyy or boring movies we've been getting recently.
Like a big budget sharknado movie but without the nado part..
They didn’t use a serious tone in the first movie either. Which is why it grossed north of $500 million worldwide.
Personally I wish they would have stuck closer to the book. Angel still caused massive chaos, but the drama in the trench would have been awesome to see if done right.
Of the three Megs they’ve seen that’s the biggest Meg they’ve ever seen!
I Wasn't Expected I Thought It Was only 2 Megs 0_0;
Love your channel
It's another The Meg!
Snake Eyes next week James.
Cant wait for your video on it. Love you guys!
I just watched this movie a few days ago, and I'm not even gonna lie; I never thought I needed this much camp until this movie came out. This was the most stupid fun I've ever had in a long time. It was so funny, action-packed, and fun, and I mean all of that in the stupidest, but best way possible. I loved every second of it. We really need more movies like this, movies that don't take themselves seriously, are stupid, and just an absolutely blast.
I thought it wouldn't be as good as first but its a comedy?
@@mitchkatz4918 Not necessarily. It's more like a "so stupid, it's funny" type of movie.

To those that were not expecting a sequel, The Meg series is based on a book, just like Jaws and Jurassic Park are. Although not many people know that the first Jaws movie was based on a book by Peter Benchley. The Meg books, written by Steve Alten, have 8 sequels so far. The next one is called Meg: Purgatory, which should be released this year or next year. This one is based on "The Trench" which was published in 1999.
Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror (The Meg movie is based on this book) (Book released in 1997, movie released in 2018)
The Trench (Meg 2: The Trench is based on this book) (Book released in 1999, movie will be released this year)
Meg: Primal Waters (The next movie after this one will obviously be called Meg 3: Primal Waters) (Released in 2004)
Meg: Hell's Aquarium (Meg 4: Hell's Aquarium, what else would the movie be called?) (2009)
Meg: Origins (I doubt this one will be made into a movie, it is a prequel story about Jonas Taylor's first encounter with the megalodon a few years before the first book that led up to his alleged psychosis) (2011)
Meg: Nightstalkers (2016)
Meg: Generations (The most recent sequel for now) (2020)
Meg: Purgatory (????)

Movies that make you forget reality are masterpieces no matter the critic scores. If you enjoyed your adventure thats all that really matters.
@@Rexcelotyes exactly. I’ve always noticed that when a movie is overall enjoyed by the viewers, the critics score is almost always way lower. It’s like they nitpick at every little thing. They find things to hate instead of just enjoying the movie.

The resounding drums, triumphant brass, and sweeping strings of epic music inject movie trailers with a profoundly thrilling ambience. This style of bold, operatic composition brings an unmatched sense of grandeur. The full symphonic sound washes over you, instant goosebumps as that exhilarating melody unfurls. No words are needed to feel the mood - whether tensions simmering into war cries or heroes rising against the odds to turn the tide. The music amplifies the high stakes hinted onscreen into palpable excitement. These epic anthems punctuate trailers with exclamation points, ensuring the adventure ahead leaves an indelible impression whether it features clashing armies or character-driven drama. The marriage of epic music's unrelenting crescendo and carefully edited visuals forms a siren song, drawing us right into imagined new worlds brimming with action, emotion and spectacle. Who can resist such powerful musical storytelling, the ultimate appetizer promising grand purpose behind these tales? We have those ingenious sound composers to thank for trailers that spark such strong senses of destiny through their triumphant symphonic suites alone - our hearts quicken and imaginations ignite.

that was a phenomenal movie that everyone should watch. The CGI was out of this world. The shark, the octopus, the dinosaurs, and all the living creatures looks as real as can be. The story was on point.. it left me breathless because of how intense it was. It had me gripping my seats and i wish it was 4 hours long!! It was that awesome! The cinematography was excellent.. they missed out on best picture.. those people who decided to disregard how beautiful this film is are a bunch of chumps.. this is a movie that cannot be replicated that only happens ones in a lifetime. Honestly, statham should have won best actor.. he was emotionally engage, every scene be had was sooooo believable.. i cried in how dedicated he was on his work producing such a magnificent film. Biggest let down was that Statham didn't beat up a Meg 😆
Films like these should continue to exist. It's not suppose to be taken seriously, just a summer movie to appreciate the fictional world of summer movie blockbuster mindset. You go to these to escape everyday mundane life, and eat popcorn together. Plus, the staff that worked on this film get to test out there skills for later projects that will require a more serious tone in a non-mega film. It's important to "Let loose" from time to time.
If they are going to keep following the book series, then I would like at least one of the movies for this series to be serious. But other than that, I am here for the series.
*non meg film
There absolutely is a place for films where you sit down, turn off your brain, enjoy a few hours of mindless fun and at the end forget 90% of movie.

@@edofluit6568 because the movie was actually pretty good. Not everyone is a hater like yall
Muita ação e adrenalina. Esse filme é para os fortes! Amei!
I have watched it and never know that a sequel can be that good 🎉
I like how Jason can casualy leg press biggest shark that ever lived on earth. What a legend
I think it’s to keep himself from falling into its mouth lol
Considering the megs here are about 120ft long he’s not just let pressing the biggest shark but the biggest animal to ever exist
Twenty metric tons is a leg day warmup to our Jason😂😂😂
@@AsiaDanceScene legs day gonna be crazy this time
Never skip meg day leg day
This looks absolutely ridiculous and I freaking LOVE it! Can't wait!
Yes! 🙌🏽 can’t wait 🍿🎥
Same know I actually didn't think meg 1 was bad I just thought it was okay but this one Looks really fun
@@T3aseW1thease Wow this was better than I thought it did not give away anything.🤔 They're saving the main fight which is good wow 3 sharks. So you know there's something else down there?😎💯
Amo esse tipo de filme, sem piscar do início ao fim!!!
I love that people are happy about this first movie was a really fun one and I hope the sequel doesn’t disappoint
Is it me or does this mega shark look a even bigger than the last one from the last movie
It will
@@galaxy_cat9575 They we’re like 60 feet long and weighing many tons so who knows honestly.
They didn't take themselves too seriously in the first film and I loved it. They seem to take themselves even less seriously here and it really makes me want to see it. The humour/Statham/big prehistoric beast remix : impossible to refuse ! ^^
Bring it on!
You had me at Statham
Nothing funny about stupidity.
Ooooooooh!!!! Housacuda!!! He may be tall???? But he ain't NO MAN!!!! HOUSACUDA!!!!😂😂😂
Poor Megs are trying to avenge their fallen brother while the terrible humans are just trying to hunt them to extinction.
This was the best direction they could've gone. The books these movies are based off of are super serious and mostly entertaining. This is just pure fun.
you must be braindead.
oh will you people stop gushing over this. its not "pure fun", its just trash.
@@downtowntrain2319 everyone has their own opinion.
@@downtowntrain2319 Not every movie needs to be serious with a hidden message.
@@downtowntrain2319 Stop thinking your opinion decides everything
The movie defied everything a normal brain can comprehend.
Fantástico, parece ser um filme que prende a nossa atenção do início ao. Amo filme assim ❤
I love the part where the meg can crush the bones of a full grown dinosaur into pieces but somehow can be stopped by human legs and core strength of 1 human 😂 😂😂
Not human - Statham.
So in the other universe he fought 'The Black Superman' so he's not regularly Human.
told ya not to skip leg days.
did ye miss the chains around its face?
Он же постарел, кости тиранозавра он мог сломать миллион лет назад, а сейчас мег уже на пенсии)
They are going all out on this one. Three Megs, a giant octopus and other creatures. This movie is going to be a blast.
Remember,
'They are hunting in packs' - Jonas.
It's 2024. Warner Bro's is now Asylum Films.
cant wait for The Meg 3
I love these types of movies that don’t take themselves too seriously. The Meg reminded me of the Mummy with Brendan Fraser, tons of action and a lot of fun.
