- Wiesbaden Middle School celebrated Read Across America on March 2, with a check presentation and a special walk around the school. This year's theme was "Celebrating a Nation of Diverse Readers."
Signs containing lines from a poem about walking a mile in someone's else shoes, were displayed across the walk route on Hainerberg.
Prior to the start of the walk, Patricia Trujillo, a 6th grade educator and chapter president of the Wiesbaden Federal Education Association presented school librarian Carol Falling, with a $1,000 grant. The grant was used to purchase graphic novels for Read Across American week.
