It was during an 100% EP event. It´s true, classic is very greedy with EP boosts, which makes leveling up and gearing alts close to impossible. I stopped long time ago, because of this. People still play classic? :D
Hey, SM was weak in earlier patches because of the following reasons: 1.) You cover speed is way slower than other classes (for e.g. ranger, Sorc, Sin) You only have the advantage against 2x classes in the endgame (Gladiator, Chanter) 2.) You can´t go for a full offensive manastone build like magic boost, because you need a lot of magic accuracy in earlier patches for you CC to not resist, therefore your DPS will be super low compared to other classes in PVP. 3.) The magic resist cap in earlier patches like 1.9 was 80%. So you need at least 2x sets (Magic accuracy + magic boost for PVE or DPS in PVP), a hybrid set isn´t going to work. A lot of GG players will use a defset (M-Res) against you, and a lot of your skills will resist (up to 80%). However the SM is good in PVE, you can solo dungeons to farm kinah and level up fast, if you choose the *pet tree* and also you boost the DPS of your group. In group PVP the SM is a gamechanger, but you need a magic accuracy set for it, to not be useless. Keep in mind you will be first target allways, if you´re not used to it, this will kill your fun. I wouldn´t recommend playing this class, if you want to enjoy PVP. Gladiator / Ranger / Sin will dominate the patch untill 3.0 ✌
@@merminflorian7681 Sin in this patch is a great DPS in PVP & PVE. Even with low gear then sin is able to deal DPS because it can boost it´s attack and attackspeed shortly very high. However it´s not an easy class to play. You have 3x resist skills, a strong blind and a silence rune when you play Elyos. Also the assasin has a view skills that push his accuracy, which allows you to go on a full offensive manastone build. The Sin can also boost it´s magic resist, which makes a defset like magic-resist effective on this class. However vs Glad and Templars you will have a hard time, those are your counter classes. Once you get extendable weapons on your SIN, the gameplay will be much smoother and range dps can´t kite you that easily anymore. Also Godstones like Paralyze / Silence / Blind are super effective on this class, because sin has the highest attack speed, therefore godstones will proc significantly more often then on other classes. Once this class is out of evades and DP hide, it´s pretty vunerable and squishy, you have to time your skills perfectly to score with stunlock. I woulnd´t recommand this class for beginners, if you like the hide and fast attack speed try ranger it´s similar but more easy to play and a super strong class in PVP/PVE.
Anyone wanna play a private server with me I found infinite aion I used to play it in 2010-12 it's a good server but it's dead I want some elyos to play with :D it has good 5x and gives some decent leveling gear
