The Bills had 24 HOURS to decide between 3 different receivers. I’m sure they broke down EVERYTHING in that time. From re-watching film, to combine stats, to notes from their 30 visits, to Josh Allen’s opinion, to Joe Brady’s opinion. I trust they took the guy who fits them.

Buffalo is a great spot for Coleman to succeed.
He has a high top speed in the gauntlet and a great 10 yard split, not alot of talk about that
@@cannafarmera lot of people are fast without pads on. This dude has proven to have game speed. Also look up the top 10 WR’s of 2023 and look at their 40 times. All of em in the 4.4-4.6 range, not to mention Coleman improved his time at his pro day to 5.35…. Right in the wheelhouse of the best of the best the league has to offer. He is a bit raw, but imagine him in Buffalo with Allen after a couple of seasons…👀 Great things incoming imo!!!

6:46 incredibly impressed by his ability to lateral the ball 15 yards back to the quarterback whilst mid-air. Could be a game changer in end of half hail mary plays

Bolden, Marshall, are his comp. He'll be a thousand yard receiver constantly since he'll have Allen feeding him the football. Allen makes off scheduled plays and Coleman fits that in play as well, so it's a really good fit in Buffalo. I say they go the Kincaid route, ease him in, let him adjust. Give him time to get to game speed, and then work on the mechanic's like route running, and boundary drills. He'll need to develop, but he can be a Dhop type player for the Bills.

Just like QB’s I think WR’s success is often based more on fit with franchise / system than overall talent sometimes. I think this is the perfect fit of both. Dude is “humble and hungry” and is still a bit young and raw. Perfect for Buffalo who will have a bit of patience (even if we can’t afford much) … and be able to become a deadly threat for years to come during the Josh Allen PRIME. Let’s Gooooo Buffffaallloooo

Everyone talking about his slow 40. Guy had the fastest gauntlet time..
It's better to look at the 10-yard split, than the 40. Coleman is tops in that category. He'll get off the line and be open within 10-15 yards, the DB's won't be able to press him, they will get boxed out and won't be able to make plays on the ball.
He's plenty fast enough. What really matters is his football IQ. He shows a knack for learning his opponents and adjusting on the go. He'll get open plenty. Mind over matter, in this case...
People don’t watch the tape or care about the drills that’s why.
Let’s go back to his Michigan State days. He was popping off over there with Jayden Reed as well. Just goes to show that he’s a DAWG. Like sure he doesn’t have the top end speed and route running is still raw, but his short area quickness and size makes up for it. Bills got a WR1 for sure.
@@MattMuas97 Good way to put it, his long speed may be lacking, but every other physical measurable is through the roof. You don't return punts in college if you can't outrun the coverage, lol.
He is already NFL fast, and so pairing his short area quickness, powerful frame, great body-control and sure hands with Josh's ability to drive the ball on intermediate/deep routes and yes, we will have quite the show here in Buffalo...

Sauce has his work cut out on him, DJ Reed will have to stick Hollins/Samuel that leaves cook, kincaid, knox or a combo of others 1 on 1 or wide open. Hot damn 🔥
His speed on the 40...meh - His speed on the Slant, Dagger, Go, and Slot Strike... dude is a monster
Physically an athletically he is almost identical to Michael Thomas. Like it is uncanny how similar they are. He didn't seem to be used a whole lot on slants and crossing routes, especially after Travis got hurt. I don't think the back up was comfortable throwing over the middle. But when Coleman did run those routes you can see him use his size to create leverage and separation despite his 4.6 40. You also get evidence of that with his gauntlet drill at the combine. If you watched Puka Nacua on the Rams this year, they did a lot of over the middle stuff with him. He ran a 4.57 40 and also was great in the gauntlet. Coleman can 100% be used in a MT/Nacua role over the middle of the field. He didn't do loads of it but was great when he did, and he definitely has the skillset and size for it. Literally his first catch for FSU, in the game against LSU, he created separation on a slant, made a man miss, and took it to the house.
Obviously he can also do the deep jump balls. But that is all everyone seems to see him as. He is legit talented after the catch. In the clip where he hurdles the guy, I was more impressed by how he made the DB whiff with a yard of space to the sideline. As you showed he is great in the redzone. He can box out corners with his size and not give them a shot at the ball.
If it wasn't for the Travis injury and the 4.6, he would have been an early to mid first.

40 yard dash is most overrated metric. Football game speed with equipment on is different. There is a vast list of players w bad 40 times who had great career and outran others on field. How many TOTAL plays has Tyreek Hill just ran by someone and scored? 10, 15 , 20??? Coleman has size and attitude. He will be coached and be great
I think this is the first wr that Josh can groom to his liking. Both Josh and Gabe Davis were young and diggs was older when they joined bills. Keon is Brandon Marshall, Dez Bryant comp IMO
Separation doesn’t mean a whole lot unless you can convert that space into YAC. So in that case leverage possession type WRs become more valuable because separation in the post season is so hard to get, due to double coverage against top 10 defenses. ( Ask Tyreke Hill )
Jerry Rice, Moss & Magatron were the only receivers I know who we’re elite at BOTH separation, leverage spacing and catches at the high point. All that to say possession type WR skills become more important post season or in seasonal games down the stretch. Separation gets you a contract not a Bardi
The funny thing about Rice is he ran a 4.7 in the 40. The 40 never tells the whole story.

Just to be clear, if Keon hadn't run that 40 time nobody would've ever thought to call him slow in any regard. He's not a speed receiver but not something I would worry about either
All the DBs on the fly routes you showed, were giving Keon 5-7 yards. Randy Moss would of had tight coverage on those routes the QBs was getting rid for the ball fairly quick and not a lot of field left on that side of the field
He's gonna be a great fit with Allen
Keon was their guy, KC was gonna get Worthy either way. Beane is huge on culture and Keon fits everything they need so im happy with that pick for them

Sure he will have 5' 11" speed daemons draped all over him. Speed is why Samuel is supposedly there. An up grade from the 2 position.
I don’t get why the Bills drafted Keon of all the prospects available. It just doesn’t make sense to me. I think Keon has plenty of talent, but he needs to play the power slot to be successful in the NFL. He doesn’t separate at the college level, so why would be separate at the pro level? In the power slot he could use his ELITE athleticism to get leverage on DBs, but the Bills can’t put him in the power slot because of Kincaid. So now, Keon is going to be forced into the X role, where he will not be able to separate and was only 33.3% on contested catches (10/30) against college DBs (which is NOT a good mark). Yes the 10 he made were some of the best highlight catches in CFB, but he isn’t even good at the one thing everyone says he’s elite at.
It’s sad that the Bills are likely to ruin a prospect with a lot of potential. I just don’t see a world where he can work in the X and the only spot the Bills can put him is in the X.
Dig deeper buddy. His contested catch rate At Michigan State was 64.5. so we know what he does with an accurate QB. His best year was 94.5% in the X position. Cleary you are simply repeating things you heard as opposed to watching for yourself.
I'm an FSU fan, don't worry about the technical talk, he's a TD machine, highpoints the ball and has great hands. And YAC isn't a problem at all. 100+yds 3tds first game as a Nole. Remember the analyst get paid to talk.

the lions traded back a bunch last year and were 1000 iq geniuses but when the bills do it they are idiots and deserve to lose every game how does that make sense?

Diggs and Davis were underwhelming last season, and how far did we go? We've added Curtis Samuel and this guy who will give us better production than those two last season so we're already in a better spot.
@@chrisbeckhamsmusic yeah when diggs stopped getting 100 yard games was when the bills came back and won the division and the only reason they lost in the divisional is because diggs dropped it when it mattered most
Buffalo better be careful about this guy. He was one of those coward FSU players who quit on the team. Don’t be surprised if he finds every excuse in the book to not play games or decides to opt out of his contract when things don’t go his way

Keon Coleman can't get separation. Speed is not his thing. This is a bad pick.
DHOP made a career being one of the best receivers in the league running a 4.57 and getting minimal separation.
Stop repeating catchphrases. He is clocked at 20 MPH while PLAYING FOOTBALL. That is plenty fast.
Now that you've told us what we've all HEARD, how many games did you WATCH? I watched almost every game and he was the most dependable, hungry wr we had. Hands. Think Fitzgerald but more athletic.
