“Everyone Fell Out Of Love With Her Pretty Quickly” | Alex Phillips Slams Ex-PM Theresa May

- The UK needs to remain in the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) as it has shown a willingness to “row back” on international law, Theresa May has said.
The former prime minister had previously expressed frustration with the ECHR and in 2016 suggested the UK should leave the treaty as it could “bind the hands of Parliament”.
Talk’s Alex Phillips discusses this further with former No.10 adviser Tim Montogomerie and political commentator Charlie Rowley.

The lady that promised Brexit but never delivered
Didn't want Brexit shouldn't have been given the job.
The woman who was a traitor in 10 Downing Street.
Don't get me wrong I don't like her but I don't recall her being a traitor, care to elaborate?
@@markgregory7140 Her terrible proposed new treaty with EU was an utter betrayal of this country, nothing short of treason. And she lied about its effects. She was also the worst Home Secretary in history up to that point.
@@markgregory7140I think I would like to answer that, May was instrumental in effectively neutering at every turn the wishes of the majority of the British people. We could just for example have played hardball over immigration with France and fishing rights, we failed to do so, we could have insisted on no EU jurisdiction in Northern Ireland but instead we sold them down the line, frankly traitor is the very word I would use.
@@crowdpleaser10 Played hardball how? The Tories (all of them) had no interest in a return clause and they sold farmers and fisherman down the river.
@@markgregory7140 That is precisely the problem, greater independence for the UK would have meant more work for them and more responsibility, that's not what they signed up for, they all want an easy life being told what to do by unelected Brussels Eurocrats.
May. Most hopeless PM ever.
That will be skarmer
Mays idea of being "Conservative" was what the Liberals were like in the 70s.
Yes, May passed human rights breaking mass surveillance laws.
-a
Im sorry but she was also described as the worse home secretary in history by the police chief 🤷
The great defunder of the police…..
Labour and the conservatives are 2 cheeks on the same backside
Not exactly. They are both the centre bit
No, the a** h*** is Reform UK.
Ms May..... Perhaps she should have been named Ms take. She was never a fully committed one for Brexit. Everyone of her offices of State, policies or pledges ,she was an absolute failure at.
May was and still is, along with Blair, our worst PM in recent memory
How can you say she was a Good Home Sec? She was fundamental in developing the woke attitudes in that Department and fostering the Boats issue. Her role in the Brexit mess especially the NI border issue as PM damns her totally
So true. She was simply incapable of thinking through anything to a likely outcome. When you see her " advisors" now spouting on TV, it becomes clear why she was so out of touch.
May was a head girl, not a PM
Joyce Grenfell could of played that dopey thing quite easily.
Wasnt it one of her bright ideas to make pensioners pay income tax or something on their already scrappy state pensions? Then she wonders what happened.
Why don't the fake Tories realise they're dead men walking?
What function does the UN serve?
Destroying nation states.
The damage that TM did to this country can never be forgiven. If your candidate matches TM in any way, reject.
Boris got his big majority on one thing alone - Let's get Brexit done!" Without that he would have struggled.
Nothing new there then; a government and PM not following through on their promises.
Not a fan of "gay marriage" sorry. Not a fan of centre politics.
She didn't deliver anything in fact she couldn't deliver a letter.
I swore i would never vote Tory after May.
I've just had labour canvassing at my front door I said I don't want to know about labour Tony Blair biggest disappointment I'm labour all the way but honestly who in ordinary working class calls themselves Sir or Lady I told them biggest disappointment of my life believed in Labour just like tories not for me anymore but I'm not convinced by any party policies
May was a hopeless Prime Minister. What did she achieve in office? Absolutely nothing.
The greatest minds in the world can sort the mess out, no need to worry.
we are ,i vote for achievers not the do nothings . may ,sunak Cameron Johnson have done their best to dissuade the public to vote for them , May alone should be in prison for insurrection when she contrived to give us a brexit in name only by her withdraw agreement boris could have ripped it up but did note
Never mind May will soon pass and June will soon be here 😅
Tim Montgomerie must be the most optimistic man in history by suggesting the Conservatives could run Labour close in the General Election! There have been too many years of scandal, incompetence and sleaze for that to be ANYWHERE NEAR to being even a remote possibility. Certainly as remote as it is possible to be.
It certainly would be the mother of all political upsets if the Conservatives won or even come remotely close to Labour in the election.
This woman gets on my nerves no wonder why GB news got rid of her
Charlie Rowley aka Toryanna Brightside.
You know Nigel pretty well don't you Alex 😉
desperate aren’t you
@@joycegibbs5267 what do you mean?
May. Definitely NOT Conservative. She should resign her membership and join the BEU Party.( Buggered Everything Up party)
As Home Secretary she lost 20,000 police. She screwed up badly with West Indian families who had legal rights of residence. When she was PM she appointed all the wrong people to important key positions, such as Spread Sheet Phil Hammond. God she was hopeless.
treason,s may
No ome was in love with her 😂
Love brexit hate labour
For a little girl who claims to be into politics, Philips truly is ridiculous….i suggest she has a look at the last two general electoral results….Britain does no vote conservative little girl !!!
Conservative i.e. to Conserve as oppose to destroy with mass immigration.
Well it did, they're the ruling party. What your doing is pooling together 'left wing' party votes forgetting there's a reason why people vote for different left or right wing parties. Pooling the vote together in a first past the post system is plain dumb. Even If we had Proportional representational voting it's clear from European elections the right eventually does better than the left when it comes to coalitions, regardless of how effective they actually are in government.
Sounds a bit misogynistic.
@@Sam-gw5pl What do you expect from crybullies?
The current conservative government hasn't been conservative. That's why
Like a bad smell, Farage never goes away.
Could say the same for the labour party
Like Blair
Like a very very bad stink uneducated comments like yours always hang around.
I smell A LOSER! 🤣
Brown, Blair, Balls, Mandelson, Campbell, Hewitt, Hoon, Miliband, Corbyn, Starmer, .......
Something smells a bit off around here😂
