I managed to sample Bois Imperial recently. It did remind me of Ganymede, although that was quite a while ago that I smelt it. These scents or Quentin DNA has its loyal fans.
It certainly has his signature, though I prefer Ganymede overall. But I do wish he would stop overdoing it to the point people are concerned right away when they see his name or the A-wood in the notes 😄
Impressive video, ScentZatura. Eager to see more content from you. I smashed that thumbs up button on your upload. Keep up the fantastic work. Your insights on the differences between the EDP and the Xtray versions are spot on! Considering the popularity of the Aki Gala wood, do you think its use will eventually lead to a new trend in fragrance compositions, or will it fade as consumers seek more unique scents?
Thank you very much! Appreciate your support! It's use is already becoming a trend I think. Brands seem to ask Givaudan to add it for it's tenacity. It'll probably remain popular for a while.. 5-10 years, before another trend comes along if we are to go by past observations
To be honest, although it doesn't smell bad at all, I couldn't stand the EDP for more than half an hour. It's like one of these aggessively autotuned pop songs - I just have to switch it off.
@@christianbreitkreuz1710 That is a great analogy. I felt like that when I first got it and sprayed generously. Now I go very light whenever I wear it. The Extrait is much more potent and obnoxious without any space to breath. Feels unnecessary.
Pros- Essential Parfum price points. This is, I believe, good for the industry. Cons- Not by style. Not this, not ELDO Marquis de Sade. But I do enjoy B683 Thanks

I can appreciate the price point and contemporary scent profile but the huge dose of Akigalawood is just not for me
Totally see what you mean.. I think my tolerance level for it also keeps decreasing the more I smell it in new fragrances. Hope the trend changes

Yes, they are not particularly exciting fragrances. Very minimalistic and utilitarian. MAB has more interesting stuff
