What I love about your videos is when you show the fragrances you personally love, there is a decent size dent in how much you've used! Having a large collection of bottles myself, it's hard to put a dent in just about anything. Seeing your bottles being used is great to see.....especially because you have a decent amount to choose from! Cheers!!
I think I saw a video where he talks about selling/getting rid of quite a big chunk of his collection at the time and changing his attitude towards having a 'collection'. I have been taking an interest in scents for about three years now and I guess a have about 25-30 in my drawer. Fairly modest, I reckon. But it's still not easy to make a dent in that amount of bottles. And that's actually a kind of a strange situation. Maybe some bottles will be more or less untouched even years from now. And what's the point then? 😮 I payed good money.. Will I get to a point where I will change my attitude towards 'collecting'? And maybe even sell off bottles. And how do you pick which to part ways with..? I just don't know.. 🤔
@@Olm9 I struggled with this in my early years as well. I didn’t know how to give up some of the fragrance I’d bought. But after thinking about for some time, I got more fed up with the idea of having dozens of bottles not being sprayed and collecting dust, than the idea of “losing” these items that I paid money for. I decided to test myself-if I got rid of a bottle and I missed it, then I would get it back. If I didn’t think about it anymore, then I didn’t need it in the first place. After getting rid of hundreds of bottles, I’ve only missed about 12-20, which I reacquired later. This brought me a lot of peace!
@@Olm9 I have a small collection but already I am just buying small 50 ml bottles, even if they are expensive for the ml they have. No point having dozens of 100+ ml bottles, you will only make a dent in some of them after years. If you use one as a signature everyday scent ok but the rest? If I can get 30 ml, I get 30. Some niche that I won't be wearing every day for example.
@@jackdonith I have tended to go in exactly that direction aswell. 30 ml or 50 ml. Not caring about the 'price per ml' anymore as it just makes you go for the unnecesery big bottles, that you can't make a dent in. Generally I have made my activities around this scent-hobby more about reading/watching recommandations and reviews of the scents and trying get to test them than wildly 'pulling the trigger' on something I just happened to be fascinated about. I would rather buy a fairly expensive, good fragrance every half year, than ending up with a hundred bottles in 5 years, that I can't empty if I live to be a 100. At the rate I bought fragrances until recently, that was where I was heading. I feel good about changing my focus in this early stage of collecting. I will probably spend the same money - but hopefully be more happy with what I spend it on. The exitement of buying a new fragrance also seems better that way, than if I do it all time. You are diffently also on to something in your philosofy on how to collect! 😊 I'm a 100% on your side 😁 And about 'signature scents'.. I always have a full bottle of Lalique Encre Noire in my drawer. When the bottle I use every day is empty, I grab my spare and purchase a new one shortly after.. 😉
I’m pretty particular about rose, but L’homme ultime has to be my one of my favorite fragrances period. Have only had a sample of it, Rasasi has a pretty good clone of it called “it’s essential”. I can understand the negativity around clones but when they bring back a discontinued fragrance, that’s a great use for clones imo💯 Great list :)
So glad you mentioned Platinum Egoiste, Justin. I am a 24 year old dude and it was love at first sniff for me. What an incredible fragrance, it makes me feel a certain way.
Platinum Égoïste was actually the signature scent of Notorious B.I.G if I'm correct. For me it is one of the best fresh fragrances ever 👍 very versatile but elegant at the same time
Had a bottle of Platinum Egoiste that I used to keep in the car& last year the Neck broke off in my backseat & let's just say my car cabin smelled above amazing all summer. Not mad at all lol
In one of your previous, the moment i saw Ultime and Or Encens, I searched for em high and low. Eventually leading me to Ebay. Took me q a while to find em. Easily one of my fav blind buys. Thanks for the sick recommendations 🔥
This might be well out of the realm of this channel, but I would love to see a holiday buying guide of fragrances you would purchase for Grace. Or even just a segment with her telling us her favorite fragrances that she wears herself
Dude, shoutout to you for making a designer video and not just naming the normal boring ones that every reviewer talks about. You shared what really authentically resonated with you and didn't just pull the frags that would get you the most likes. You earned my subscription and I'd love to try some of those, specifically Pasha de Cartier! Super underrated house along with JV.
Of the 1 million line the parfum is the absolute 10 to me.. lucky is very good as well and i actually really like royal as an ambroxan sweet swiss army knife It's the story behind parfum that led me to loving it so much. The guy had sunscreen and other fragrance ingredients in his bag and they broke and mixed together and that's what parfum is, the most gorgeous unique sunscreen type scent Its also unisex, i would love to smell it on a woman
I finally bought JV Vintage and I like it!! I can see why you like it so much! I had a different smell in my mind and when I got it and smelled it, it totally surprised me! I really like it
Great choices, My favourite would be Platinum Egoiste a couple of years in my rotation even for travelling by plane feels very suitable ,,,, issey miyake is underrated imo some good fragrances they have tried the la nuit d,issey some time ago. What about Musc ravageur? What do you guys think? 👍
L'Homme Ultime and Or Encens are both fantastic. L'Homme Ultime on a rainy Spring day just fits perfectly 👌. Or Encens on a rainy cool day in Fall..same. This whole list is winner circle worthy. Thanks for the great content !
I've been searching for a masculine rose fragrance. So when you mentioned the rose in Or Encens while your video was still playing, I took a quick look on fragrantica read a little and immediately went searching. I saw prices up to $399 (expected). But I actually found it for a very lightly used (say 98% full) full presentation in like new condition for $80! It came today. This smells amazing! It's very unique! The rose is present has a masculine edge and is not overbearing at all. Exactly what I was looking for. And it performs beautifully. Thanks for not letting it's discontinued status keep you from sharing. It's what you said it was and then some! 10/10. I feel like I stuck gold with this one.
got T.F noir extreme edp about 4 years ago and love the scent but when i smelled the parfum i have made a mental note to get that as the replacement or upgrade over the edp. 1 million lucky is discontinued here in Europe and i have around 30-40ml of my 200ml bottle left... jpg scandal absolu is meant to be very close in profile to lucky so will have to smell that and see if it's a worthy successor... golden oud is also up there as joint favourite of the 1 million lineup
I scored Or Encens from Fragrance X some years back for about $45…. Couldn’t believe it… Pulse of the Night is still my favorite… Such a beautiful warm incense fragrance. Shame it was so scarce and now costs waaaaay too much. Someone needs to clone it…
6:07 highly recommend getting your nose on Million Gold. I don’t think you’ll purchase it but it is interesting for a Paco Rabanne frag let alone a frag from the 1 million line.
These are not my favourites but I understand how you feel about them. The sense that you are resonating or dwelling within a fragrance is certainly special. I love my vintage versions of Paco Rabanne “Metal” and “Coriander”. It took me a while but I fell into love with “Mitsouko”. I really love the vintage designer fragrances.
The Pasha parfum is a scent I just find myself coming back to and for the life of me, I don't yet know if I'm just intrigued or I just like it. It's not my wife's favorite, but I think my one bottle will last for life at this rate
Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense is an absolute GEM! Beautiful and powerful fragrance. Wear this with confidence and watch the seas part in front of you Boss fragrance. I remember in a video past video of yours, you saying that you didn’t enjoy Tom Ford Noir Edp initially. Had strong statements about it, lol. Your nose has evolved for that one as it did for the Prada. Very similar fragrances.
JV Vintage is one of my favorite cooler weather frags to wear. It reminds me of a barbershop scent as well. I think it’s one of the best values out there.
I would love to see a video based around the theme of fragrances that were/are on the cusp of being great but just need an additional note or the removal of a note to achieve divinity.
I am yet to try YSL Ultime but have been interested in it for a while - Chanel Platinum Egoiste is definitely a 10/10 for me and was one of the first fragrances I ever bought.
Pasha de Cartier Parfum - that's exactly what I'm wearing for the past 8 hours and Or Ensence is already waiting in a queue :) As for Prada I still prefer Amber for Men, regardless the season though intense flanker is great as well
Around others, do you ever feel as though your fragrance is too loud or conspicuous? I sometimes worry about that around my faculty advisors and it ruins my enjoyment a bit. The simple answer is to not wear fragrance to school but where’s the fun in that?
Prada amber homme intense is stunning, ive had so many people comment on it when they come in for a hug on a night out. Defo the black shirt justin .....it feels like the correct pairing!!! I watched you and Ross review it and you both looked blown away ....best blind buy ever!
Noir Extreme Parfum is definitely on my list of favorite designer fragrances as well. The other designers I just love and consider 10/10's: Guerlain Ideal Extreme, Tiziana Terenzi Kirke, Sauvage EDP, Dior Homme 2020, Acqua di Gio EDP, La Nuit de l'homme (the OG)
You have a great voice and are so eloquent and a joy to listen to👌 I enjoy your videos and fragrance knowledge, and of course your Jazz❤️ I always hope for a little performance🎺🎶
Have 2 bottles of Or encens. I snapped up another bottle when I heard a rumor that it was going to discontinued. I love the rose in this one. I accidentally bought Prada l'homme intense thinking I was getting Prada Amber Intense. Very hard to find.
1 Million Lucky is the first fragrance I ever gave a 10/10! It works in pretty much any scenario and climate, smells amazing and not too serious but also not too playful. It will always be in my collection. I think I will be grabbing Platinum Egoiste next. Great review bro!
The man, the myth, the legend! JC the man who have put me up on some of my best fragrances scents with killer compliments! And it all began couple years ago with Cartier L’Envol……
_I really like your list of ten here, most notably TF Noir Extreme Parfum. That's the thing about most Tom Ford fragrances for me, many are in my top five. And when you picked John Varvatos Vintage(I was like, damn, this guy knows fragrance). I have many John Varvatos fragrances as well, but the JV Vintage is probably my most favorite because of its masculine, but not overpowering DNA. (It's still a solid winner). Subcribed._
I can vouch for JV Vintage. Solid scent that smells natural, and not the least bit synthetic. The performance is considered poor however, which is common with all JV scents. But for $40 for a 4.2 ounce bottle at online retailers, you can afford to spray heavy. 😊
I have what I consider to be 2 fougère colognes; Bois du Portugal and Égoïste Platinum. BdP gets a bad rap as it is not so “modern” - but I’m an oldster & each time I wear it I fall for it again. But Égoïste Platinum never requires a second thought. It is a fantastic cologne. I have mostly niche fragrances - but EP is among my top 10 of all scents, I will always own as long as I am able. Great call including it on your list - it’s fabulous.
Have you tried Paco Rabanne Pure XS? I love the Tom Ford Noir Extreme Parfum too. I blind bought the John Varvatos edt, love it. I do like amber scents.
Some nice fragrances in their Justin. 1 Mil lucky was a nice one i went for the Prive tho which i actually did wear today. I also absolutely love Or Encens its a shame they discontinued it, i like to wear it for myself in the evenings!
I own every perfume on this list, apart from the 1Million Lucky. The only ones I would rate 10/10 are :YSL Ultime, Encens, Cartier, and will give the Tom Ford a 9... The others are an 8. Love your videos sir
In my opinion, there's one fragrance that blew my mind in every aspect and is, until now, my favourite designer fragrance: Dior Homme Parfum. It's very difficult to get it but it's just perfection. I've smelled a lot of fragrances during the years but I don't know... There is something about this one. It's classy, powerful, rich, dark, sexy.
I've been rocking platinum egoiste for 12 years and never get bored or tired of it. Prada Amber intense is also just a beautiful fall/winter daily. Not many people know about it and most likely have never smelled anything like it. Great list!
Not to be “that guy” But I recently bought a new bottle of Platinum Egoiste… To me…. Definitely reformulated from just a few years ago. My old 50ml smells sharper, more metallic, has more of that shaving foam vibe… My newer 100ml…. Softer, greener, not as “old school”…. Still smells phenomenal…. And you know it’s PE. But it’s different..
Hey Justin just curious have you ever gotten your nose on margiela untitled? I ended up blind buying it because all the reviews described it as a very unique designer fragrance and after smelling it I'd agree. I really like it though and I am interested on your take if you have one. Thank for the great content as always 👍
I have several very expensive fragrances, but I have a couple of cheapies that I love. Azzaro Chrome, and Jacques Bogart Pour Homme. I also have the Azzaro Chrome Legend and Azure. The regular Chrome EDT is far superior to both. The Bogart is absolutely surprising, and only $30.
Just passing Thur what's up big brotha another high quality video quick story ross had Issey Miyake i can't believe it for $ 55.00 they had two gone back to pick that up soon ✍️
Two things: 1. One Million Lucky I hear gets compliments for people, I've never gotten one 🤷🏾♂️ but seriously one of those scents when it cools down... I go for it. Once last week and I enjoyed it. 2. Vintage was one of my cool weather office scent for a while, that made me feel great. I did have to get a travel bottle of that one to reapply. Okay one last thing Egoist Platinum turns heads when I wear that... Okay three thing I lied
I have them and agree with you, JC! I do prefer 1M Prive' to Lucky... though Lucky gets more compliments. Of them, toss up between TF NEP & P APH Intense as to my favorite. Totally different from each other... and both incredibly beautiful and quality performers. I know you are extrenely reluctant to directly suggest buying (especially "blind"), and I totally understand that, but I would definitely recommend doing so for all of these. Part 2 coming? Need some I don't have already! Other than Argos... which are already on my 2025 list! 😂👍 "Soul Trinity" would be nice! 🙏
Completely unrelated question: Tom Ford Ombre Leather EDP or Parfum (white label)? My 10/10 scent is the previous version of very sexy from victoria secret.
Could you please give you thoughts on Le Sel D’issey as i think its their most standout scent. Better than pour homme. Have asked a couple of reviewers already but none listen or care enough to make a review. Even a short video should be fine as i think it deserves attention.

Or Encens is amazing, and I think the best and most creative of the Issey cold weather scents.

@bien9582 Mee too. I had a longer post that said just that and I deleted it by accident
Armani Code Parfum. BDC EDP, BDC Parfum, DH sport 21, JPG Paradise Garden, Azzaro The Most Wanted(Black), and Prada L'Homme are my 10/10s I own.

What a pleasant surprise to see 1 Million Lucky here! Such a gem to me too.
"1 Million Lucky" is one very nice smelling fragrance.
I have a bottle of egoiste that my dad owned. It must be over 20 years old now but still packs a punch!
Great video!
I personally prefer Noir Extreme to the Parfum flanker, but I totally agree with Platinum Egoiste and Pasha Parfum
I would love to see a video based around the theme of fragrances that were/are on the cusp of being great but just need an additional note or the removal of a note to achieve divinity.
Love John Varvatos clothing and boots. Should try his cologne too.
I’m about to buy that TF Noir Extreme. Been wanting to. Thanks.
It’s a good one!
One Million Lucky, absolutely 💯.
Love the throwback in this video.

Great video and amazing fragrances. I own all but Egoiste.
I'm glad you're a fan of most of the fragrances on the list!
Just got a back up bottle of Ultime fam on the gray market. Dope content as usual! Salute.
That’s awesome! Thank you!
1 Million Lucky is the first fragrance I ever gave a 10/10! It works in pretty much any scenario and climate, smells amazing and not too serious but also not too playful. It will always be in my collection. I think I will be grabbing Platinum Egoiste next. Great review bro!
JVV - Vintage is a smooth and refined smell and agree it is still contemporary.
Yes!
I love Issey Miyake Or Encens and Amber Noir. In my opinion, the two best Issey Miyake fragrances!
The man, the myth, the legend! JC the man who have put me up on some of my best fragrances scents with killer compliments! And it all began couple years ago with Cartier L’Envol……

I really like the original amber pour homme, been wanting to try intense
Platinum Egoiste is my way to go for meetings.
What!?!? Did you have a Paco Rabanne frgrance on ur list!!! I slept on you JC. Good stuff,.. One Million Lucky is so damn good
Platinum Egoiste and OM Lucky are so legendary!!!! Two of my favorites in my collection
zahariff signature or tf beau de jour or .and which is the best fougere fragrances
There is no best! Both are good, and they’re different from each other. I would try both if you can.

Have you tried Paco Rabanne Pure XS? I love the Tom Ford Noir Extreme Parfum too. I blind bought the John Varvatos edt, love it. I do like amber scents.
I haven’t tried Pure XS!
_Parfums Christian Dior_ Homme Parfum is scheduled to release a new version soon. It's rumored to have less iris
I would hope so. I hope it's a parfum version of homme 2020. Iris is so overrated, IMO.
It’s available in The Netherlands already and it has lots of iris again. It’s like DHI but with a more intense woody drydown.
I have 2020 and I just don't use it.@@spinQubit
@@Ceko I check on the Dior NL website and it still has the 2014 version. I don’t think it is out yet.
@ i see thanks for clearing that up
Some nice fragrances in their Justin. 1 Mil lucky was a nice one i went for the Prive tho which i actually did wear today. I also absolutely love Or Encens its a shame they discontinued it, i like to wear it for myself in the evenings!
Thanks for sharing!
I own every perfume on this list, apart from the 1Million Lucky.
The only ones I would rate 10/10 are :YSL Ultime, Encens, Cartier, and will give the Tom Ford a 9... The others are an 8.
Love your videos sir
We definitely share some taste. Nice list.
I have an original bottle! Love it.
Does anyone detect cumin in pasha parfum? I couldn’t get past that sweaty body odor opening and had to return it 😕
I don't. It's nothing like Dec parfum, which I do love. But not similar at all.
its gorgeous to me
I've been rocking platinum egoiste for 12 years and never get bored or tired of it.
Prada Amber intense is also just a beautiful fall/winter daily. Not many people know about it and most likely have never smelled anything like it.
Great list!
Dior Fahrenheit Le Parfum, especially for this time of the year
Not to be “that guy”
But I recently bought a new bottle of Platinum Egoiste…
To me…. Definitely reformulated from just a few years ago. My old 50ml smells sharper, more metallic, has more of that shaving foam vibe…
My newer 100ml….
I haven’t tried it! I’ll need to! Thanks!
Two things:
🤣
Nice list❤
What do you think of Gucci intense oud? I’m waiting on my bottle to arrive
Love it!
Try the house of Celine, my personal fav
Stay Fresh Productions Baby!!!
I see Ultime, I buy it. It will be my signature until I can't find any more bottles 🌹😎
We should really start a movement to bring back L’homme Ultime. I don’t use it that much because of it being discontinued🙏
Yeah man. Lucky is a top 5 frag of all time for me
John varvatos vintage is stunning..🎉
Ultime is fire and I have a full bottle. I only wear it dressed up
1:59 teach me daddy, didn't know that word 😂Also, imbue! Feels like an English class to me, bravo!
One Million Lucky is Plum fantastic, see what I did there, and the original Egoiste is fabulous.
Varvatos - Vintage smells like a real man rockin’ a chevron mustache.
"Soul Trinity" would be nice! 🙏
Haha thank you William!
I have one million lucky an I love it, it's a good one I'll rate it a 10 for 10
Completely unrelated question:
Tom Ford Ombre Leather EDP or Parfum (white label)?
My 10/10 scent is the previous version of very sexy from victoria secret.
I haven’t spent enough time with the Parfum. EDP is good.
And cold weather approved fragrances
Could you please give you thoughts on Le Sel D’issey as i think its their most standout scent. Better than pour homme. Have asked a couple of reviewers already but none listen or care enough to make a review. Even a short video should be fine as i think it deserves attention.
I haven’t had a chance to try it yet. Hopefully someday I will.
