- Hello again, here’s another video, twice as long as the last, hope you enjoy!
PS getting the sound levels correct is an art in itself, please comment let’s get some conversations going, my mrs isn’t interested so I crave some railway attention 😆
If you haven’t subscribed please consider it, the channel is new so needs a good push, it’s light hearted and a very much beginner type setup, learning as I go.
If you like it please click like (I never do myself and now realise the importance of it) if you don’t like it tell me why in the comments, I’m trying to be a bit different with my videos having a bit of a chat as a voiceover and the funny thing is I’m just making it all up as I go along! It does mean that I get to run some trains around though which is a good thing. Its all light hearted i like to have a bit if a laugh along the way.
So get on board and enjoy the ride 😃😃😃🚂

lovely modelling, and as to the outtakes, save for Xmas special
Cheers! That’s not a bad idea 👍
Class. You should definitely keep doing videos, and definitely keep up the commentaries. I am both subscribed and addicted to Liberty Junction.
Thanks Duncan 🤝
Love the honesty (what else would one expect from a Yorkshireman!), this layout looks like you have been at this for years!
Thanks for watching Ian, appreciate the comment too 👍
Another winner Dave👍
Cheers pal - ooh that’s an early one 😃
@@doubleodave I'm playing catch-up. It's so noticeable how you've relaxed in the later ones, and you are reaping the rewards👍
great vid the child mode section was class, layout looks tremendous, subbed
Much appreciated! 👍👍👍
Enjoyed the video and subscribed 👍
Many thanks 👍👍
Nice vid there Dave…
Interesting that you’ve highlighted the fact that hunt couplings are as brittle as ****!
Removing them usually ends up with them breaking & black tac is the answer to keep them going, I thought it was just me 😂
Really enjoyed your video.
Cheers John b😎
Cheers John 👍 at least it’s keeping the black tac fold in business 😆
Really nice Modern Outline illustration. Imagine most everyone shares the agonising issue of acquisitions. I cure mine by giving in! So get that 56. Better still, get both. Coincidentally I am getting the two you suggest. ( From Rails of Sheffield. At the time of writing they are down to DCC Ready models. Fitted all sold! However no warranty issues and Legomanbiffo +Loksound combo hard to better.) Top work all round.( Commentary included!)
Really appreciate the comment and advice, for info ultimate model railways had one or two sound fitted left this morning 👍 I’m saying no more 😁😁😁
Just found your channel.
Great video and great layout 👌
Subscribed 👍🏻
Welcome aboard and thanks for taking the time to comment, really appreciate it
I want a Class 56 too. One of the Yellow and Blue sector liveries. As for subscribers you are doing well. We all enjoy watching that figure climb
I’m starting to think that’s the one 😮 should have gone for! They do look good don’t they! Thanks for watching
@doubleodave I'm now up to 5 class 56s
Hi Dave, just subscribed agree with you on the hunts couplings material being crap but if you use a bit of pva glue 👍 a bit of water to remove them cheers Al
Didn’t think about PVA I did superglue a couple but they snapped off after the glue ruining the nem pocket 😫
Great video 👍. I pre-ordered my Cavalax 56s from Rails, nearly 3 years ago (2021), and you pay a £30 deposit on each, balance paid on delivery. It's frustrating that with Accurascale, if you don't commit to buying when the model is announced, you miss out on it. Ordering them through Rails and Hattons (enough said about the loss of that store) you did have the opportunity to cry off if your situation changes.
Cheers for the info, I’d still have no fingernails left waiting that long 😁
People pre-ordered the Cavalex 56 two years ago, then when they come into stock the retailer contacts you and you pay for it and it arrives as soon as they post or courier it out to you. No one pays at the time of pre-order, same as any other manufacturer.
I wasn't knocking this concept just saying not for me i'm too impatient and would have no fingernails left! i'll wait until they're released and pick one up if there's any leftover. I managed to secure a Cavalex 56 this way. For info I did preorder £200+ of wagons from Accurascale last year and paid the full balance at the time and they're still not released yet. I ended up cancelling the preorder getting a refund and buying some in stock Bachmann ones. All the best, Dave
Really nice video and a great little layout,
Love how smoothly your locos move at low speed
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching 👍
Enjoying your videos Dave. I've subscribed too 👍
Thanks and welcome aboard 🚂👍👍
Great video! Subscribed!
Awesome! Cheers :)
Just subscribed your layout looks great, I know what😊 you mean it's only recently I have done the preordered , the new locos as most of mine are second hand of ebay over many years and they are as good as new and the old locos are as good as the new ones, apart from the sound and some extra details they run just as good, keep up the good work 👏
Thanks for the sub! Yeah my 37 red stripe was used off eBay, you hear the odd horror story about bad deals so I always make sure to read the full description then you’re covered, but couldn’t be happier with what I’ve purchased on there so far, nearly all my rolling stock has come from eBay 👍
Hi Dave 👍 just come across your channel and you have an awesome looking layout. Just subscribed 👍
Andy
Thanks and welcome
Just stumbled across your channel and you have gained one more subscriber!! This is the content I enjoy, have my own loft layout approximately 5m by 3m. Still in the development stage, track-work all done but no scenics as of yet. Going to watch your other videos to see the locos you have. Keep up the good work. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks John, that size will make a brilliant layout wish I had a few extra metres 👍
@@doubleodave What size is your layout? You seem to have decent variety of locos and rolling stock from what I’ve seen so far. You should do a ‘meet the fleet’ video so we can see what you have at your disposal. 😀👍🏻
Layout looks amazing mate..👍
Cheers pal 👍
With the hunt couplings I use them for my coaching stock but use kadees for between locos and rolling stock and bogie tankers, there are some issues with them but in a hole I've had little trouble with them
To be fair the magnets are amazing, there’s been a comment about using a little PVA to hold them in this may be the answer, I fully agree that when installed and held in place they are decent and as you say kadees at the sections you wish to uncouple is 👌 thanks for watching 👍
Hi Dave, I'm newish back to the hobby. Also gone mad buying locos.
I like my Bachmann 24,37 and 47's.
Nice layout. Would appreciate a running session showing the kadea couplings working. As i hate the standard ones. Mine is an end to end layout. Station and TMD.
Not sure what to get. Some UA-camrs recomend/ dont criticise so eventually they get free products if they get popular !
Cheers Mike.
Cheers Mike, I’ll look to get a video done showing them in action soon 👍
Thanks Mike
Hi Mike, Kadee video now up for you 👍 (episode 6) cheers
@@doubleodavethanks.
Wow well done Dave super slow running video. Great modelling skills. Yes the 08 is a wonderful loco. Looking forward to seeing more videos. Best wishes Richard
Cheers Richard and thanks for the comment - as a beginner I really appreciate that👍
Good Video, look great, seems you have aquired a few more subs in the last 2 days..
Tell me about it! I can’t believe it
Nice video, Dave. It's great filming with nice down to earth comments.....cheers James 🙂👍
Cheers James, appreciate the comment, thanks for staying tuned 👍😎👍
@@doubleodave no worries, we've signed up to follow your journey, we are enjoying watching it here in Dylington 🙂👍
Nice photography 📸 😊
Thanks for watching 👍
@doubleodave Yes, the framing of the running scenes is A1, 10 out of 10 video recording work, mate, much appreciated, keep this up and you'll be upto 1000 subscribers in no time, I'd say 8 to 12 weeks, my friend.
I’ve got 4 56s and they are the dogs danglies!!
👍 they do look decent
I've had a few hunt elite couplings break contacted west hill they sent out a replacement pack but did have to remind them to send it, it seems like its a fault with certain couplings.
With a different print material they would be superb
OO Railway PIVOTING SQUARE MAGNETIC COUPLINGS 23mm Nem to Nem pockets, 5 Pairs off eBay do pretty well with my EWS hopper wagons n even work well dragging my bachmann class 66 colas non runner as a double header with ma hattons class 66 one freightliner which I’d so recommend trying to get ahold of as it looks great dragging a rake of container wagons n also the OO Railway PIVOTING SQUARE MAGNETIC COUPLINGS 23mm Nem to Nem pockets, 5 Pairs work well with the container wagons too well recommended, if you ever do invest in container wagons then best ones going are the Kia/kta Dapol pocket wagons or the Dapol few-b spine wagon twin pack freightliner, avoid the real track models freightliner fla wagons twin pack as they’re so light n wobbly not the mention the wheels are so tiny the derail a lot n a mean a lot soooo annoying
I’ll have to give them a look, cheers
I'm considering changing to kd couplings , what number or type do you use ?
Mostly 19 but the Bachmann coaches would probably better suit 20s as they’re a bit set further back 👍
