Im a malaysian and I can confirm that Malaysia KFC has some darn good rice and sometimes theres a limited burger called Cheezilla Burger (i think) and its basically a burger with deep fried mozarrela and chicken with it (with cheese sauce) and damn its good (or a Zinger Burger aswell)
i've had kfc in like two countries and it was kfc dubai and kfc korea. i loved kfc dubai because they offered spicy fries and the seasoning was like korean instant noodle seasoning which is one of my favorite flavors in the world

This might be a wild card for some of you to hear, but ever since they made the switch to locally-grown chicken, KFC in Saudi Arabia actually slaps now, the quality of ingredients is that good from Saudi farms. If you ever do end up going there, you gotta also try the actual best fried chicken in the region, Al-Baik. Now I'm not sure about the other areas of Saudi Arabia, but I have tried it in Dubai and it's very far from the real deal, so I would go to Jeddah, for an amazing food tour overall, and for the best Al-Baik experience, as the legend started there. The Undisputed GOAT 🐐

My grandma actually worked for Colonel Sanders. She passed her recipe down to my mom. And now I have it. Edit: Since people were pestering me about the recipe. I was just too lazy to post it, but since people are wanting it, here it is: 2 T Paprika 1 T Onion Salt 1 tsp Celery Salt 1 tsp Rubbed Sage 1 tsp Garlic powder 1 tsp ground Allspice 1 tsp Oregano 1 tsp Black pepper 1 tsp Chili powder 1 tsp Basil leaves, crushed 1 tsp Marjoram leaves, crushed Mix together. Use 4 tsp of mixture for every cup of flour., along with 2 T of brown sugar and 1 tsp of salt. I think the seasonings were together, and when they were ready to fry, they added the sugar and salt. The others were good for storage. You may think this is good, and it is, but there are better recipes for fried chicken.
As an American we really don't have like 80%+ of those things at our KFCs. I think that in large part the quality of the food is dictated by the luck/time you order it. They make it before you order, so you're not waiting around once you've placed your order, which means you can get drier chicken if somebody hasn't ordered that specific item in a while, so it won't be as freshly cooked.
I feel like the kfc near me isn’t even a good one (very common), but the kfc chicken sandwich and fries are top tier consistently. Only thing going for them currently

I too just had JB KFC a couple days ago and as a HUGE fan of KFC, I have to say it sucked, again. Not my first time eating it. It was the original version and bought at KSL. It just didn't have any flavour, or at least not as much as SG's, in regards to the spices. And super dry. I've eaten it many times and have always been disappointed. I think that was the last time and will stick to KFC SG from now on. Your rice looked interesting, regretted not getting that. Not sure if I saw it though.
Malaysian and Indonesian KFC chickens are comparable. But as Indonesian I prefer Indonesian KFC because of the chili sauce. We love KFC chili sauce so much. and spicy chickens in Indonesian MCD are very tasty, comparable to Cryspy Chicken in KFC
When I was young, my family went to Malaysia to the vacation and tried kfc in Malaysia where according to my sister their mash potato was so tasty but I was so young and since I haven't went to Malaysia for the 3rd time I forgot the taste
All I know is that kfc in England is identical to trash The fries are absolutely disgusting and if u leave the wings in the fridge for a day and reheat it, it’s already not good to eat

yeah ultimately it still varies from outlet to outlet but so far I've had pretty positive experiences with msia KFC.
