Great product. Great helmet. Would buy again, maybe even try out the Neotec.

Good lid, but bad move by Shoei to bond the liner in place, so when the foam core rots out, which it will in time, mine rotted while lid was stored in a fleece lined zip up helmet bag stored in the house, unused for a few yrs, decided to use it again, got showered with rotted foam bits, so lid is scrap ... Mmmmm, what can we do here?
Sussed out the newer Neo-tec has a clip in removable liner, took a punt, ordered one via eBay, cut out old rotted liner, as little as possible, Neo-tec liner nearly covers all I cut out, I had another Shoei lid that had died for the same reason, I'd saved it for spares, so I re-used the clip out backing plates with the plastic press stud feature from the old removable cheek pads, cut them down clipped to new Neo-tec liner test fitted, marked where the clip panels go, liner back out, bonded clip panels in place with UHU polystyrene friendly impact glue (very little smell too) hay presto a working lid again, double sided velcro pads to secure brow section at the front, job done ... so an expensive old, but as new Multi-tec was saved from the bin for £40 & a few hrs of work ... Use it regularly now, easy to remove the liner for washing or replacing, just like the later Neo-tec lids, I also use a reactolite pin lock insert that darkens with the sun, so ok for night use too, long live my Multi-tec ❤
