Hey Guys! Hope you're going well! At the moment I'm really fond of the 35mm 1.8 and the 85mm 1.8 and have been using them for 95% of a wedding day. If I had to pick one lens though I'd go for a 24-70 2.8. I can shoot an entire wedding with one camera and that single lens.
Haha I know! Everytime I get to talk to someone new in my area I always say just add a thousand dollars, even if you film 30-40% less weddings it'll be the same money.
Thank you! I use the gamut.I’m conversion lut to get it to a rec709 look from Vlog then do a lot of manual adjustments before finishing with a lut for a slightly stylised look. I’ll vary which lut I use depending on the colours of the day but I often use a mis of Russel Kent Nichols Hestia luts along with forestry films Native luts often stacking them to achieve the desired look
But don't you need the volume to improve your craft? You'll inevitably make mistakes early on due to inexperience, so is it "right" to charge pro rates?
Rory what's your favorite go to lens?

Everyone makes the nasty pricing mistake 😅

Whats the biggest mistake youve made on the day? For example mine was safety cam out of focus 😮
What colour picture you using for weddings? Thanks Rory.
I shoot everything in Vlog regardless of the shoot
@@RoryandCasey Your wedding films look so beautiful!!! Are you adding any Lut on your films?

True! Even so most people starting out could easily add $1000 to their prices and still book the volume they need to do that.
