The college is better pay for the clean up of this mess and the damages done to their property private property. That's obvious. The police aren't removing their masks. Removal of the mask is vital so the police officer can properly identify the individual they detained. When they don't remove the masks, it is because higher authority has told them not to reveal the person or collect proper evidence for prosecution.

In my country there is an unwritten law prohibiting the police and the army from entering university campuses. This was a brilliant way for universities to produce work without any political agenda. In Europe, universities are temples of knowledge.
So far I see a lot of people standing around and a few people with hurt feelings.
