Hello Harry. I've been flying scale gliders for several years with my DS-16, helped or hindered by only the manual. Ran through all 4 parts of Getting Started, mostly out of curiosity, and learned some great new stuff! Thanks for putting your experience in professional, easy to watch videos for us. Looking forward to running through more of your videos on subjects like Telemetry, CB200, etc.

Hello Harry, I now have two airplanes programmed into my Jeti DS-12 Transmitter but the 2nd one I just now set up, for some reason, has a Negative value shown in the Servo Setup screen when I move the Throttle stick up to High Throttle. The first airplane shows a Positive Percentage vale when I move the Throttle stick to High Throttle. Can you tell me what I might have done differently / wrong for the 2nd airplane set-up that caused the Throttle response in the Servo Setup Screen to act in reverse? FYI, the data on the Functions Assignment screen shows the correct indication / correlation where moving the Throttle Stick up produces a more positive reading in that display. I'm wondering if it could be the Servo itself that is causing the difference. For instance it may be that the Throttle Servo in my first airplane is a Normal Servo and the one in my new Corsair is a Reverse Servo (they are two different brand servos). I did notice that in the Servo Setup Screen the first airplane's Throttle Servo is set up as NOT Reversed and the 2nd airplane's Throttle Servo is set up as a Reversed servo, so maybe that's the difference.

You have reversed the servo in the Servo Setup menu. The radio knows nothing about which way the servo rotates.

Hi Harry. Great videos. Just a question about 'Servo Setup'. I think that after highlighting the servo (say 'Aileron'), the number in the bracket on the screen shows the assigned function, not 1 of 2). Could you confirm?

Hello Harry, I did purchase the Futaba S3170G Retract Servos for my Phoenix Corsair airplane (we talked about this a few weeks ago) and after some experimentation, I determined that they are indeed a proportional Retract Servo. That being said, I installed one in each wing and used the Throttle Channel to determine where the endpoints should be set. I used the Servo Setup page to see that for my Starboard Wing, I need 60 Percent of throw in one direction to put the gear down and 69 Percent in the other direction to put the gear up. With this information, would it be safe for me to set up the same percentage endpoints for the "Gear" Channel that corresponds to the Starboard Wing Retract Servo I found the endpoints for? Since I didn't want to accidently stall the servo by at first using the actual Gear channel (it goes from one extreme to the other) I thought first using the Throttle channel would be a safer way to find out where the endpoints should be. Does this all make sense? Thanks for your help with question.

I would not, there may be slight differences between servos and between linkage geometries that mean each side needs different numbers. I would go to servo setup, set positive and negative max travels to, say, 40% each, then keep operating the gear and increasing each travel until they are correct

Hello Harry, I am running a DS-16 also, but it only lets me run two Lua apps (user applications) at a time. Is this a limitation with the DS-16 or do I need a larger SD card?
