I am giving you your flowers because you don’t understand how it’s taken me a week and some change to understand how to play this game. It’s so confusing and even more confusing when someone is explaining or teaching something their confused with themselves. Thank you for slowly explaining everything. At a slow pace. Definitely made the learning experience and process much better. Finally I can enjoy the game and actually know what I’m doing😂
I agree your slower pace is helpful when it's about learning. It's not like you are presenting a ton of new board games in a rush. I often have to reduce the speed of youtubers by 5 to 10% when they explain rules. And hey, anyone can always speed it up if they want so it's not an issue. But as an ex-teacher, I can attest that even though younger generations talk faster, it really doesn't translate into retention.
I just bought this game specifically for its 1 player function (that and I love the bird concept) - thank you for the slow pace of explanation, it's cleared up a few things for me.
@@ThatBoardGameShow I was able to get through a whole solo game. I referred back to your video for final scoring. It all makes perfect sense now. Thank you again.
Ah I understand now, the "Base Value Card" (shown at 30:27) is unique to a round, and shows all the possible values for different round goals. To get the base value for a given round, you look up the value for the given goal, and ignore all the other values on the card. At the end of round you deal out a new "Base Value Card".

Yay!
I’m so glad it was helpful :)
Thank you for taking the time to comment 👍🏻
Ditto! Best solo walkthrough of this game on UA-cam.

This is so good to hear.
I often feel like I need to pick up the pace. And so knowing that the slower place is helpful is a great encouragement.

Thank you Hayley :)
I sometimes wonder if I'm going to slow... so it's wonderful to hear that you found the slower pace helpful.
You made this extremely clear. Thank you very much. I will lock into a play list for reference.
Thank you 😊

You forgot to take out the Round 1 card out of the Automa deck after Round 1. You also forgot to replace the 3 birds in the tray between rounds.
Oops. Good catch.
Thank you for pointing that out.
👍👍👍
How does the automa have a base score of 1? I did not get that
It shouldn't... where did you see that is has a base score of 1?

@@ThatBoardGameShow I think @3rammram was asking about end of round base score at 30:25.
