Todays Tackle Tuesday is how to tie a loop knot which is a great knot for when fishing jigs My website-www.beardedbradfishing.com Salty Pompano Rigs- / saltymccroryfishing
I’m kinda new to the whole surf fishing thing. Would love to see your whole tackle set up (not sure if it is a box or bag or what you use) and how you store rigs that you have used before!
@@BeardedBrad92 Yes Sir. I know it will. You , Brant and Beach Bum have been my teachers . I've been watching your videos and learning . Thank you. Be Safe Brother .
THANKS FOR SHARING THIS INFO, I WAS BELIGERED THAT A KNOT WOULD NOT ALLOW ACTION-FREE ACTION! TIGHT LINES MY FRIEND, BRAD AND ALL OF YOU GUYS AT THE BEACH BUMB SHOP...
LOL. I bought a couple of those when I was there a couple of weeks ago. Stupid me I was thinking trailer hook (love throwing spinnerbaits). I caught two small whiting on the trailer hook.. LOL Now I know next time how to throw it correctly. LMBO
@@BeardedBrad92 I saw that one before I started the 🐊. But man I’ll be in Navarre Florida starting on the seventh through the 15th we should get together and do some pier fishing.
Great Video and a Great Channel as well. I liked/subbed. I've been looking for the teaser/hook to add to my banana lure. I am heading to Cape Hatteras so I can likely find some. And suggestions?
I just bought a few rigs that come already setup with a split ring. Is it better to remove it and tie it as you have it here.. the banana/goofy jig separate from teaser, or is it ok to just tie up to split ring? What are the pros and cons for each setup..? Thanks in a advance!!
I have watched so many different videos on what everyone rigs their reels with, why is that a lot of guys use braid with a floro/mono leader versus all floro or all mono with a leader? What are the advantages or disadvantages?
@@BeardedBrad92 I'd love to see a video where you talk about that too... I'll be setting up two rigs this week, and just taking a stab in the dark. Be running to Cabellas, getting a few combos I hope and lining them up, unless I find some combos pre-loaded..
Just saw your video Brab. Hate to bust your balls but its tied wrong. Tag end should pount towards lure and not out to side. Last time you went though loop should have been in same dicrection as the first pass.😮😮
Thx for sharing...perfect-easy, brief and concise vid. Would like to see more.
Thanks man! I’ll be doing a lot more knot tutorials
Braid to Braid really great for adding to your main line once you get low on your spool cant get it down pat. Thanks Brad!
Never have enough good information. Thanks 👍
At last someone who knows how to Ty the real loop knot. So easy
Nice video. I've always tied the pomp jig with the teaser hook opposing the jig hook. A new approach to try.
I tie them so the hooks face opposite directions, as i think the hook up ratio is better. Same concept as inlines on a hard bait.
Thanks for the awesome schooling you do... love the way you explain the "why" behind the way you do things.
Yes sir! Thank you!
Thank you for this video. Perfect way to see how to tie the loop knot.
Thanks Brad. Going to start using loops more for sure.
Great info. I find that having the hooks facing opposite directions increases hook ups.
Cant thank you enough for your incredible video. You're the best!!!
Just finished watching bums upload 😆 the stickers were hilarious 😆 🤣 😂
Lol was getting ready to make the same comment!!!

Thank you Brad , Awesome video . I've been wanting to learn that knot . I'll be practicing on how to tie it . Be Safe Brother.
Awesome! Hope it helps out!

Great vid, Brad!
Thanks buddy!
Good stuff. I use the same knot on the Mirrolure twitch baits that don’t have a split ring.
Great advice brad thanks brother 🎣🤙🏼👊🏼
Yes sir!
Thank you for the how to. I fish alot of small lures
Yes sir!
Thank you!
Of course!🤙

Great video Brad and hello from Clarksville Tn
Great tutorial on tying your loop knot and keep them coming.
Keep your head out of the water and don’t fall in the abyss with the drama clowns.👍
Thanks man!

Good for any lure
Thanks
Good stuff
Thanks brother! No croc??

Great tutorial 👌 👍 👏 I really enjoy learning new knots. What braid to leader knot do you use?
I mainly use uni to uni. I’ll have a video on that soon!
@@BeardedBrad92 I use an improved Albright knot it combines the Albright with the FG knot. Haven't had 1 break yet.
Curious to see how you tie the FG knot. Thx
Thank you for this! I've been trying to figure out how to tie this jig up. One question...where can you get the teaser for it
Salty’s Pompano Rigs sells the jig with the teaser. I’ll have them on my website soon
Check rad reeling on tying a similar know its a lot easier and just as strong
Will this work for live bait as well? To help the live bait have more room to roam with more natural movement? Or not?
Yes, it’s a great knot for that as well
That jig looks 🔥
I've seen people tie the teaser 6 inches up from the jig. Thoughts on that?
I don’t hate that idea but never tried it
Brad, how about 80lb leader to swimbait or other like you all have been using on the pier?
I’ll post a video soon of all the pier setups!
Great tips on ties knots l would like to see how to tie the g knot
I’ll definitely be doing more knot tutorials
What's the bite like in late September in the Destin area?
I don’t fish over there much, but over here in Alabama, the redfish bite is pretty good and the pompano start running again
Great Video and a Great Channel as well. I liked/subbed. I've been looking for the teaser/hook to add to my banana lure. I am heading to Cape Hatteras so I can likely find some. And suggestions?
Hey Brad.. I’m a dental hygienist.. use your teeth?? 😮 just joshing with you! Thanks for the great videos!
What's up Brad
🤙

I always remove the split ring and tie it with the loop knot. You'll get better action and you can use different color teasers
Thanks for chiming in. Makes total sense that the action will be better with this loop knot than with just the split-ring
What’s the benefit of tying 2 hooks in the same knot? Do they not interlock sometimes?
That smaller teaser hook moves separate from the main jig and a lot of times the fish actually hit the smaller one
I have watched so many different videos on what everyone rigs their reels with, why is that a lot of guys use braid with a floro/mono leader versus all floro or all mono with a leader? What are the advantages or disadvantages?
That’s different a good video idea. Too much to list back in this comment!

@@BeardedBrad92 Thanks
Why 10 foot rods over 12 or 14?
Hey Brad great how to. How long do you make your leader
12-18 inches
Thanks man for quick response just pick up a couple of the rigs from you website.
How do you tie a spoon on?
Usually use the same loop knot
This is called a Kreh knot.
