Well, as it's as they say: You can only review the game you played, and not the game it theoretically could have been or could become over time. It's cool you mentioned that it could have scored higher, and then pointed out the patch, though.
I was looking at this in the PSN store and I'm attracted at the art style. Thanks for sharing your view on this game, will buy it to support the indie developers as I know a lot of work were put in making this game and looking forward for their future patches and releases.
I like how I can almost always guess what number score you're gonna give a game. Based on what you've said in the review, right before you reveal the score I guess what it'll be and I'm usually right! I guess that means you're consistent 😊

It is far from perfect and without the tech issues I would have given a 8 but I think fans of non combat stealth will like this.

I quit the game today (once again). I have mixed feelings about it. But of one of my main complaints is not knowing where exactly to go or where to begin with. Also, while do love stealth games, the stealth in this game isn't really that easy, and a lot of times I find it more frustrating than fun. I first thought that the labyrinth style was kind of awesome, but I just found myself getting lost, disoriented, and killed more times that I would have wanted. I still like something about the game somehow. The world it's definitely beautiful and interesting. Some of the main characters are cute and all that. The story seems also nice. My only complaints are mostly related to gameplay stuff. But I also have to be honest and say that it was not exactly the game that I expected, and I thought that I would be more hooked to it until I finished. But that certainly was not the case as I have already quit 2 times. The last time that I did that was with Dark Souls. Perhaps I will finish the game eventually, but I have a long list of games that I will probably finish before it.
I've heard it said that this is an homage to the old stealth genre games i.e. games that actually require you to sneak past guards rather than let you shoot them because the player is lacking in patience. Is that your experience?
That is correct but even with a old school feel with little combat its not quite as difficult though as some of the classic like the old school thief games.
The lack of hand holding I enjoy, however I think this along with lack of voice acting and addition of old English foot notes lead to this game not being a better seller. Give this game the financial backing of a triple A title for the sequel and lets see what the devs can do with this Ip really let them pour all efforts into it. I would imagine while not a GOTY it would be an instant classic. This title feels like they began with delusions of grandeur, and tried in the end to finish on a deadline.

Very much so it reminded me a lot of Styx i really enjoy that series there is less combat here but it doesn't have levels or chapters like Styx does. This game is also more forgiving then Stxy you can get around AI a lot easier.

I have a question for you: I usually watch the ads when I watch videos instead of skipping them. Is it true the creator only gets paid if the entire ad is watched? You did make a comment talking about it before, so I wanted to ask. I don't think it even matters how many subs, likes and comments you get. Am I correct? Thanks!
No we make money on every Ad even if you skip we only don't make money if you use a Adblock program. There is also no way to fully tell how much one ad makes me I have days with 100 views on one video and the video made 10 centson that same video months later it got 3 views in one day and made $15 you never know what are will pay out lol I honestly appreciate any advertising you watch for me it means a lot and it helps pay the bills.

I got tired of dreary and dark looking games during the ps3 era. God knows there was enough of that back then. I'd prefer more of a Rayman or Donkey Kong Country aesthetic now.

Works FASTER on PS4 Pro obviously, that console has 2x the rendering power of a PS4. So you can uncheck "vsync" on PS4 Pro and actually play close to 60fps, vs the 20-40fps on PS4. But even at the native 1080p on PS4 Pro, you will drop to under 60fps, because you are running an RX470 for all intents, and even a discrete RX470 on a super fast Intel / Ryzen desktop CPU cannot hold a flat 60fps! It's only 60fps on XBOX X, running at 1440p and with much enhanced textures. Basically the XBOX X version is the PC version, but running at 1440p with only FXAA.

Yes a few but they are mostly side characters such as birds, and frogs.

Yes every second you watch we make a small and I mean microscopic amount so the longer you watch the more it helps
