What other mechanic should I only use?

mercenary fleets only
Terraforming

the carriers/planes are extremly good.
You can have cloaked fleets within enemy borders when declaring war, they will not be booted out of the space. Very fun to suddenly appear all around their main bases and take them out within the first day of war xD
And there is also an achievement for declaring war on someone while having your fleet in their capital system. Basically roleplaying as the Romulan Star Empire.
Is cloaking a dlc?

To get higher levels of cloaking you need better shields. Improved deflectors = Basic cloaking
Shields gives the first level above that, and advanced shields the third level.
Dark matter cloaking needs dark matter deflectors, not sure which.
Psionic cloak needs Psionic shields or possible Psionic barriers, not sure about that.
It shouldnt affect cloaking strength, but how much shields you get, dark matter goves 50% shield and psionics gives 100% shield

This looks like a really interesting gameplay idea. I have to try this.
Is there any specific build that will make winning as a rebel easier? I once tried to win as AI uprising, but it is often simply impossible. I don't know if I'm building too few robots or how the dspliting mechanics works, but I have the impression that it works completely randomly and I always get bleed out of resources quickly.
@@randomzinternetu5179 I'd you don't mind cheesing it, scrapping all of the biological empire's fleets just before the uprising happens is the easiest way to win as an AI uprising
The UI isn't bugged! It wraps around to go over the 5 slots of cloaking, hence why your cloaking is "exceptional". It is grey iirc when a slot isn't filled. Green=slot filled, bright glowy green when it starts wrapping.

It's a shame Criminal Megacorps dont get that research option, since theyd probably be really fun as a stealth only.
Plus, do machine have access to shadow weavers? That helps with cloaking too.

Did a playtrough looking like this, ocean paradise with 7 nebula system, criminal heritage, rolled zroni precursor, built a stormcaster in the only choke point, a neutron star, and only used psy shields cloaked fleets. Was hella fun. 😂
would be weird if you ever saw a cloaked fleet, considering they are cloaked
Id really like to have seen a bit more content for the cloaking stuff. As in a couple different ways to begin to develop the tech:
1. Invisible Space Monsters, a whole new set of space monsters.
2. A neighboring empire empire with the tech is leaking it to a pirate group in your empire.
Wouldn't it be better to go Psionic for a cloak build? You can make use of the Psi-Phase Field Generator which fits on all ships..and if you have psionic shields, they retain 100% of their strength.
Sol voidforged start gives more minor orbitals thus allowing you to get a building slot for 75 alloys
I like taking my stellaris game slow for instance I like to put the crisis back as far as possible so I have these strong empires to war with and take out from the inside and when the crisis comes I like to use it to win
When am I getting my Musk+ Coin? I invested over $1000 and still I haven't received any Musk+ coin.
Increased cloak level reduces the penalty to sublight speed and FTL charge time, if you reach 6+ cloak strength you have no speed penalty from cloaking.

Fun fact about the galactron, once you open the reliquary and its not the galactron you can alt f4 the game to go back and try your luck again, it only took me about 90 crashes.
Alternatively: be rich
Just a reminder that after like 6-8 reliquaries you can buy them directly for energy and with no cooldown

I've had quite a few playthroughs in which I had a few fleets consisting of corvettes and frigates with cloaking. As a result, I've had a fun time setting up ambushes on enemy AI empires, or hunting down specific leviathans before other empires get around to doing so.

Why take +20% amenities from jobs?
It doesnt stack, but it guarantees the 20% benefit always. I feel its mostly helpful to have the flexibility to quickly assign maintenance drones with the buff (since automodding traits slowly build over time, they buff the status quo)

11:41 The UI is not bugged; There are 10 levels to Cloaking, with Grades 6 through 10 being called "Exceptional (Grade X)" with X being 1 through 5 again. 1 + 2 + 2 + 1 = Exceptional (Grade 1), just as the tooltip says.
By that same token, it is not "maxed", since there are still 4 more grades beyond it.
It's always really funny seeing the 'subscribe to watch me livestream getting the galatron' because in every ironman game i've played for the last few games I played where I wasn't a "wipe everyone out" I've gotten the Galatron. If you make a Trade focused empire with a trade federation you end up with So Much money you can just keep trying to buy lootboxes. It's a meme with my friend group to see me keep re-earning the Galatron
