Thanks for the shout-out! You got the pronunciation exactly right, which makes me doubt you’re actually British. It’s nutty how reliable this build is. You flubbed a couple things (rush the two traders per segment! cut out the roboticists! fire the artisans!) but it doesn’t matter, unless you spawn right next to a fanatic purifier you just win. It holds up fine with default settings too, just takes a couple years longer.
@@randomaccount5669 : yeah; you don't want excess goods. Get that artisan to do something useful, such as daydreaming while unemployed. For roboticists, you definitely don't want them after ascending but also you can reduce the number at the very start and save some resources better spent generating unity or trade.
I had great success with a machine empire, syncretic evolution with organic serviles. I play on default tech/unity, but even so I got to finish my virtuality tree by 2230. Basically you play the first 10 years as a bog standard unity rush, use trade with marketplace of ideas as much as possible (less than the shattered ring, obviously) and parliamentary system with spiritualist ethos. During these 10 setup years would build out your 2 habitables and stockpile an excess of resources as your rapidly reproducing serviles supercharge your accumulation of all your basics. Then after the year 10 election comes the betrayal: you swap out parliamentary system for death cult. And now the true purpose of your serviles becomes clear: you sacrifice them in huge numbers to feed your unity generation. By the time you finish your virtual ascension you should be nearly done killing off every one of your serviles, which is exactly what you want to do anyway.
im 99% sure that it will be much faster with merchant guilds instead of beacon of liberty. Let's put it like this: 80% of your unity is from trade and merchant guild gives a council position that can boost the main trade providers (traders) by up to 50% base (aka multiplicative to all other trade bonuses). Even if you only read lvl 5 counselor fast. that's still 25% more trade.
Belatedly, you’d need to get to Expand the Council first, which takes a while, perhaps using your second slot. But because unity gain is additive, 15% unity from the base trait is also not all that much.
One thing about this is that by taking statecraft you are leveling your leaders which are one of the drains of unity. You prob can do it faster if you didn't get statecraft/ leader exp You could swap it with prosperity which gives build speed and that will help you max districts 25% faster.

Build a robot production plant first and then just trade districts (with traders favorited), don't forget to clear blockers, if you can take a tech at the start that will eventually let you take one of the power blockers on the ring down). 7. Give the new council role to the highest level leader you can, soon there will be an election, Vote for someone other than your ruler (who is about to level up soon) and then after that Apoint your old ruler as director of trade. 10. Now your economy will skyrocket as all of those traders across all three worlds jump to life, oligarchy +2 council skill plus a statecraft pick will give your new trade director 3 additional skill levels when you appoint them and evolving society hasn't even been activated yet, you are now swimming in not only Unity but also Energy. practice runs have had the Unity production being over 500 at the time of starting Transformation and having grown to nearly 800 by the time it's nearly finished with a back log big enough to take the entire tree in a single go.
