Correct me if I'm wrong, but speedrunners typically avoid mounting monsters because it cuts down on damage, right? So why did Canta decide to do a jump attack at 4:16, did he know it wouldn't mount?
Arena quests are some of the few exceptions where mounting actually can be useful because your equipment is usually trash, which makes it harder to flinch the monster and create openings yourself. That being said though, it's still not something I'd focus on, but I would've tried to go for a mount if the opportunity had arisen

every evasion roll has s, that's a gameplay mechanic
I understand the mechanic, I just wasn't aware the duration of the sidehop was enough for a roar, WITHOUT an extender skill of some sort.
