- To ease the wrath of the Gods and save his village, a farmer journeys across the world in search of the perfect Christmas tree…
Age of Mythology Retold is coming September 4, 2024 to Xbox and PC :)
Love Age of Mythology™? See if you can find all the AOM and AOMX campaign characters in the video.
This cinematic was made using the Age of Mythology™: The Titans Expansion Pack video game, along with the final version of the New X Editor (available at AOM Heaven). All units and sounds are original to the game - no mods were used. - Ігри

I can't even imagine how it would looks like with the new graphics
That greek villager has seen some shit
He sure has a whole bunch of experience to share when he's old.XD
Its what he does when you abandon him on the corner of the map
XAAXXAAXXAXAAXXA
That's how my grandpa traveled to his school
It's hard to believe this video exist.. This was how my child self imagined the campaigns to be like. And to think you've surpassed that is incredible.
Legit, couldn’t put it into words better myself. This video sums up the entire campaign in my 12 year old brain
God damn they should have asked you to make the Chinese campaign this was a million times better than whatever shit they made.
I haven't played Tale of the Dragon, but honestly I think it needs some shaping up. The story cinematics have so much potential!
unhappy? sign this petition to help and improve the game! we're almost there
www.change.org/p/microsoft-fix-age-of-mythology-extended-edition
is it legit?
Santiago Molano If you're asking about the link I posted, it is legit.
For some reason when I wrote that comment it sounded fishy, but I couldn't get around to make it any better
I signed it (though I recall signing another one a while ago). Was it just a matter of money? I heard they took lots of shortcuts during development.
AOM needs a sequel. wee need more RTS games these days.
Theres a expansion that came out last year "tale of the dragon"
Daniel Martín N. Yes, there should be Hindu myths next
You guys should play Rise and Fall. It is one of the best RTSs ever made. (Ignore the critics!)
Jozinek or a persian one
Aztecs. Sacrifice your villagers for favor just sayin.
WOW those city shots are godamn amazing , makes me wish they had shots like that in the actual game haha
It's a bit tougher to do it in-game, what with lag and the visuals taking up so much space (unless the game map is loaded separately).
@@Anraheir did you have to use the biggest map size? and how distant were the background cities from the character? or did you make them smaller so you didn't need to put them that far? your video is simply amazing, thanks for sharing
@@Fulscript Large map - about a third of the map length (download the .scx files to see for yourself).
And thanks.
@@Anraheir thanks for the answer. Very smart way of placing everything. Another thing, the New X Editor doesn't work with the Tale of the Dragon edition of AoM right?
@@Fulscript Can't answer that, as I don't have Tale of the Dragon.
That was fantastic! The scenes if bustling cities were especially cool! You really did an excellent job of capturing the air of each civilization.
When i used the editor i used to make a very unrealisticly symitrical cities it was almost creepy the level of symmetry
The pig dodging the guy in 0:53... If it was intentional, its genius...
Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I'm glad you've enjoyed the cinematic.
+Al Kane how to cinematic?
Al Kane this is beautiful. the way you put the thing together and made the world soo full of live. really capturing everything beautiful in the game. you made me drop a tear. thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully I'll be able to have another one out this year. Stay tuned :).
Al Kane AMAZING
Al Kane I LOVED it, how long did it take you?
AOM may not be the most remarkable RTS game of his time, but it has such a beautiful atmosphere and aesthetics. Also, this cinematic is a perfect example of what you could do with the editor if you were skilled and patient enough.
Thank you. I've been using the editor for many years now, and I still discover new things every once in a while - the cinematic possibilities in Age of Mythology are endless.
Didn't expect an answer from you on a 3 years old video, cheers mate and keep up the good work
Hehe, thanks. I've started work on my next AOM video, so I'm checking on this one periodically.
True i only liked it because of Mythology. Greek Myths are the best
This machinima is amazing, I have also made this type cinematics, but never so worked. Good job.
+MetaBallStudios Thanks man.
Wow, encontre uno de tus viejos comentarios metaball jaja.
@@Ivan_Berni gracias por recordarmelo xD
I tried once but it was very hard so i quit
Pera madre mía meta ball qué haces aquí compañero. 😳
at 3:30 the polar bear is also teleported here lol at left side of the screen
The polar bear was an allegory for the protection and favor of the gods! Or something.
@DaFaQ pRuShUnT lol you're damn right bro ;-)
@DaFaQ pRuShUnT lol you're right bro ;)
That's the best thing I've seen on youtube recently, and it really makes me want to pull out AoM again...
play it with gameranger
I have these "tendencies" after 3-4 months i suddenly want to play this game
This is amazing. It Captures the feel of the origin AOM campaign by following all those amazing locales and graphics, and those cheesy but effective special effects... nostalgia man, its helluva drug!
1000 subscribers! Thank you all for your support! I’m driving now towards wrapping up an upcoming Egyptian cinematic. After that, be in the look out for some shorter (but still cool) cinematics. I look forward to exploring the many aspects of the game, including civilizations, god powers, units, music, and themes. Be safe during the quarantine.
I’ve been waiting for your Egyptian cinematic for almost 3 years now.
When do you think are you going to finish ??
@@mynameisasecret3826 Hehe, funny you should mention it - I've finished design and audio. Currently wrapping up the title textures. Just have to record and edit. It should be done hopefully in a few days (depending on work). Thank you for your patience :)
AOM Visions don’t mention it, I’ll gladly wait for a couple of days.
Coming next year... "Age of Mythology™: Tributary Travels (Cinematic)." This will be an Egyptian cinematic :)
Already watched (laughs in BAKA)
I'd watch these cinematics any day!
I don't know what caused the issue so I can't fix it.. apparently only mobile users experience audio problems. when I watch the video on my pc I have zero issues
Hard work ...this Is amaizing
+carlos valdes Thank you. But when you love designing, the time just flies by, hehe.

look at those troops waitting to be converted.
thanks for this man, I feel nostalgic I just don't wanna leave home...
Timing on how units are gonna move is amazing. And the environment looks really cool
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! Thanks for all the views and the 1000+ likes - can't believe it's been a year :).
Al Kane beautifull😍👌👍 i suscribe this is my favorite game(aom)
Damn this really looks good. I love the way the cities look.
I was just talking about how this was my favorite RTS game ever like..last night. Oh how I miss it
+hawkmore With the extended edition and the new expansion coming out, you don't have to miss it :).
That village deserves a promotion to hero for all of that.
that Horse was equally Brave going down into the Underworld
Does no one else notice the Various Deities that just happen to be walking around?
This is what I call hard work. Making the cities so lively and I really like the way you used the titans. Just roaming around their mythologies! Keep it up! :)
Lol @ the random polar bear at the end. This is an absolutely beautiful Christmas animation.
This is fantastic man! One of the best cinematics made with Age of Mythology (and with a little Nordic humor!)
I can't imagine all the effort and hours it took you to create such awesome locations.
Cheers!
Amaziing, so much thank you for the time spent and sharing it with us! Really amazing!
+slavevBG I appreciate the compliment.
When i was a Child. I used to play this game for like 12 hours online . Completed the FULL game still missing this game
The best AoM video I have ever seen. Thank you for such an excellent work and such an excellent talent.
You're welcome!
Excellent work pal, you did amazing!
this was gorgeous!!! thank you sir!!!
warms my heart
ZardozLP #metoo (no kidding!)
Dude.
The parts with the cities were so beautiful
This is amazing dude, great work!
Impressive cinematic! Everything is so perfect.
thank you for making these videos!
Wow that was actually amazing. I always loved the cinematic work in age of mythology. It still holds up pretty well today too
Beautiful work, it really took me back to early youtube days.
OMG HOW DID I NOT FIND THIS EARLIER??? Seriously though, seeing videos like this one brings me such internal joy. Thank you for your hard work and keep it up! :D
No problem; glad you enjoyed it. Another video is in the works.
This brings back so many wonderful memories of that game, great job!
+Brandon Wu Thanks :).
Six years, and I still enjoy watching this. Merry Christmas
Thank you! Merry Christmas, friend.
A villager is the read GOAT, Such a greatly done work!
Really appreciate your efforts.
You did an awesome job in making this cinematic! Even though the game is quite old, I still want to try my hand on it and this was a major inspiration!
Glad you're taking a crack at it and that the video is inspiring you. Go for it :)
Wow, another incredible cinematic! Just came from the second video. So cool and as many people have already said, excellent work. Again, really capturing the scale and feel of each civilization in an amazing way. Really like how you portrayed Atlantis, similar to how it is often portrayed as an aquatic island peninsula kind of thing surrounded by several rings. Keep up the great work!
Ian O'Lear thanks. I’m currently working on an Egyptian cinematic - halfway there.
@@Anraheir keep it up bro looking forward to it!
this is amazing probably the best i have yet to see!!
You just captured the spirit if that game. I would like to say so much, but I guess I will just stick with a huge Thank You!
Thanks. It is a really beautiful game, so it's a pleasure designing :).
That was tight! Thank you for the creativity 😇
1:19 just blew me away. Totally unbelievable for AOM. Really super cool.
Thanks for watching! I’m working on an Egyptian journey cinematic, actually. More to come.
time goes so fast.. I remember I watched this during christmas and I loved it!
Omg i love the cinematic.Good work man love you
Glad you enjoyed it.
Absolutely stunning animation with one of the most amazing panoramas I have ever seen done in a game engine of that time! Bravo to you this was amazing!
Thank you! I'm working on another one that will (hopefully) topple this one.
Take your time and good luck! I wish you the best. :)
I am so thankfull for this FANTASTIC movie !!! You are great talanted!
Just beautiful. This how I remember AOM when I was a child..
Wonderful ! Beautifum work, and thanks for sharing it !
Man, you're awesome, the cinematic was incredible
Hey, thanks. I'm making plans for another one - love making cinematics :).
Brilliant stuff. Loved it!
Ok seriously, this is truly magnificent!
That was amazing dude, the Detail was great especially the parts where he entered Tartarus and the cities had so much life.
+theredplumber I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah, designing those scenes was fun; a long process, but fun.
Incredible piece of art, many specially made effects like the highlight when the thunder appears. The cities look awesome and look like hundreds of hours work. Impressive!
Wonderful job!
This is SO well done! Congrats :)
Thanks for watching the cinematic!
That moment when these cinematics are literally better than the cinematics AND campaign of Tale of the Dragon. Lol
Jack Laborde (shrugs)
This is the most incredible AOM cinematic that I have ever seen, and that includes the original ones that are a part of the game. And you did it without a single word, it's mind-blowing. You should be a dev for this game. You've really made it look like the world of AOM is lived in.
Thank you, friend. Glad you enjoyed it.
just so good , thanks a lot bro you make us dream
Damn you really shown the potential of the cinematic editor that's really impressive
Thanks.
This is cinematic in not only name but nature. Very good job, congratulations.
Thank you; much appreciated.
perfect work! well done!
This has Hard work written on every single piece of it. It's Amazing! I envy your capabilities of Designing. Mostly on that Egyptian Scene, on the main road. Fantastic. Thanks for Sharing!
+Antares Luis Thanks. I'm glad you liked the video. Yes, it is a lot of work, but if you just focus on one piece at a time, it becomes very doable :).
dude...this is beautiful. this game is my childhood and i almost cried lol, sooo well made!
Serdar Joshua glad you enjoyed watching, bro. Stay tuned for my Egyptian cinematic :)
That was awesome man, great job
Thanks.
We want a new Age of mythology
This was really cool to watch! I've messed around in the cinematic editor before, and I know you can do some cool stuff with it, and this video is exactly the thing to show off just that! I really like the detail and work put into this; the only criticism is that it wasn't completely obvious to me that it was a Christmas tree he was looking for, but I'm not a Christian, and I'm also pretty unobservant, and I don't think AOM has any specially-decorated trees like that... all in all, though, super great work! was fun to watch
Yeah, you're right - the viewer has to read the video caption to get an overall idea of the story. Glad you enjoyed the cinematic :).
#AOMVisions You have a great eye for textures and design. You truly bring out the best aom has to offer by using everything available in editor.
Thank you, friend. It's the only childhood game I keep up with - designing is a favorite pastime.
To say that this video is excellent is to say nothing. AoM is the game of my childhood and one of the best games I have ever played.
It's a beautiful game indeed. Glad you enjoyed. Stay tuned for more :)
That was beautiful to watch bro, I hope you're doing well
This was actually really beautiful, very well done man
Thank you. I'm halfway through another one; will hopefully publish it soon.
@@Anraheir looking very forward to it bro :)
Wow, this is good. The shots from a low angle like 1:04 are incredible. I've never seen an angle like that from AoM
It looked really unfamiliar. Really neat.
Love the mass crowd details. And background city scenes
Thanks. I like making the city scenes.
Dude this is fricken awesome! well done!
+Evoshun Hey thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
That's a really hard work ! Congratulation man, I apllause !
Thanks!
Man, this was incredible!
Glad you enjoyed it.
Holy crap man the detail in this is really impressive.
Thanks!
This is more about the trip than the destination, good job ;)!
Thank you :)
So satisfying to watch! God bless you thank you for that art
Thanks; love making these videos (currently working on another one)
Wow very well made. Lovely animation.
I didn't knew that this was exactly what I was looking for 😮 amazing 😍
When your map is low on wood, you send your villager far.
Awesome! wonderful!
Ensemble Studios Is Proud Of You!!!
This is so cool!
I'm making a campaign too, though I don't believe the cinematic will be as good as this, man, your effort levels must've been hell high
Just one scene at a time. Move on after you get the basics down, then return to fill in details.
This is beautiful
This was beautiful
Amazing.. Can't imagine how long it took to make everything so perfect and detailled
Thanks. It was about a year of here-and-there labor.
This is so magestic so epic and beautiful for the human eye!!
Damn, this is some fine work.
I am at a complete loss of words for how amazing this was!
Glad you enjoyed! More to come.
well done! very impressive!
