"Failed" or underappreciated cars that would be interesting in my opinion: - Ford Mustang GT3 by Marc VDS - Reiter Engineering's Chevrolet Camaro GT3 - The Lotus Indycar project
That was fantastic, loved seeing the expanded scope of this episode and a further look into a forgotten but fascinating car, great to see it's still racing! Keep this up!
I love seeing where race cars end up after their original "career" has finished. Most end up in storage / a museum somewhere, but sometimes you find out about weird stuff like a DTM CLK racing against an Audi A4 supertourer and a Ferrari in the polish national championship
Love series like that. I had little to none interest in motorsports until mid 2017 with only race I watched was Australian GP in 2014. Series like that tell the story of motorsport that is not that well known. The first Lotus video told the story of the team that started mostly outside of Europe and so not that available in Poland where i live. I’m interested in mostly either old single-sitter feeder series and old touring cars and endurance racing. F1 and Indycar are great but easilly accesible and so not that interesting anymore with things from their past.
Love the follow up video. Something to remember is that the Evora MC was run for over 6 years in the Super GT Series, one with the famous Syntium Apple livery which had awesome shark teeth on the front grille. So the Evora has had some shine in the past years!
Although to be perfectly honest i still can't get over the fact that all Mother Chassis cars are pretty much the same car (same Dome chassis, same Nissan V8) with different silhouettes on top. Keichii Tsuchiya even kind of sneered at that fact. Plus the rise GTA-GT300 cars that are very competitive against GT3s while still having some actual connection to the road car or the car brand just makes MC cars even more out of favour
@@Dakkyun Of course i know about them. I followed Super GT as well. Calling them "touring cars" is a bit misleading since they're basically prototypes with a road car body on top. At least i can still get behind Class One since their engines still come from their respective manufacturers.
@@AbrahamArthemiusYeah i get that, although the Evora MC is sick, i really miss the JAF GT cars Of the older days. But the Prius by apr was definitely a treat, shame it’s gone now.
nice to see that the lotus evora is in the right hands ever since, really impressive that this academy is able to engineer this evora to actually be competitive. hope to see more real life videos like this. speaking of real life videos, I reckon your camera work could be improved. for example, in 3:43, when he mentioned the improved aerodynamics of the car, you should be closer to the car, put him and the car in frame since that's the primary subject of this video, other then that. if you couldn't do that because of space constraints, then I can understand why
Fantastically put-together video. Comes across as a really good, unbiased look at the ongoing project and all the highs and lows of motor racing. Glad you had a great day and a pleasure meeting you and talking cars. I look forward to seeing what you will cover next and how your channel grows. All the best. Ed.
Thanks for the very kind words! It was an unbelievable experience, one I'll never forget for sure. However, it was amazing meeting you and the team. Made doing the video lots of fun, and talking endlessly about cars and motor racing is always right up my street. 🤣
Fantastic video. Thanks for the follow up on the car til it’s present day. Kudos to the team for reaching out to you so you could get a up close look at how the car has changed. Glad to see it still racing and providing good experience for people learning motorsport.
Really cool that they invited you along from a video about the car itself, not even about their outfit specifically. Also, I think that Evora has the same air vents as my Nissan Note. 😅
I know on other platforms like Discord and Twitch, people don't want you mentioning it. I know that this car is in the data mined car list for Gran Turismo 7. I can't wait for this car to be (eventually) released.
loved seeing this update on the GTE and where it is now. I seem to remeber not a GTE but some kind of Evora being run in the Grand-Am Rolex series, i think under the GTX devision alongside the Skyactive diesel Mazda 6s
Nice update. Im building basically the road version of how they updated black car. Using GTE (Mansory) widebody bits but on 400 Evora chassis. Last Evora to race in top series was by SDR in 2017 SRO Pirelli World challenge GT4 spec car. I asked him how much support received from Lotus said a couple stickers.
It's so cool to see this thing still racing. I got to see it back in its "prime" at Petit Le Mans. I remember thinking it was one of the cooler GT cars on the grid and was sad to see it not doing so hot.
Brilliant collaboration type video. Having followed GT Cup for some time now, I was hoping you'd touch upon the Lotus (and Mosler) that these guys are running. Great stuff mate. 🙌
Thank you for your content! Please keep up with this kind of video. If you are really fascinated by motorsport, you want to know all about those cars that have had an "unfortunate" career. These are probably the most fascinating cars to learn about. Keep up the great work!
The Evora GTE is a fascinating car. Since you're looking for another unique car/team, I suggest the French Vortex SAS team and their sportscar which has raced since 2016.
Awesome video! I remember watching the original Evora video a few months ago and being really intrigued about the history of the car. As an engineering student of the National Motorsport Academy myself I’m really glad it’s had a follow up video, especially as I was at silverstone that weekend too! Keep up the good work! :)
I saw this car race in IMSA. Beautiful car, but suffered the usual small team issues. The car was underpowered, and slow through the corners. It didn’t help that this was during the the time of the Flying Lizards 911’s or Scott Sharps Ferrari’s. Glad it’s found some love.
What an amazing video! An interesting story, fantastic background knowledge and an incredible narrator (as always). This channel's definitely going places, please keep this quality of your videos up! Greetings from Germany😁

Absolutely awesome video! Keep up your great content. This is quite fascinating. How can we (outside the UK) watch these races?
