This client is such a delight! "She can cha-cha with the best of' em" :D Thank you for sharing these lessons! Keep the biomechanics videos coming; I've been out of riding practice for awhile but I've learned so much from these videos to correct my old habits. I'm a big fan of Paradigm Dressage now and of Leif's coaching talents & horsie knowledge!
I love how Leif explains things, ❤️ I've just started watching this channel and I can't get enough. I'm working with a novice (that completely reminds me of this mare). I started dressage later in life after 20 years of riding/ jumping/polo crossing/gymkhanaing and some small equitation classes in that untrained "yeehah" way. I had no idea of what a half halt was, of how to use my body correctly. And getting a horse rounded, between hand and leg and on the bit were some magical tricks people knew After 30 years of on/off instruction and competition, I STILL struggle to quell off bad habits and focus with every stride. Plus I have a spine curve to the left, which really affects my ambidexteri. But you know what? Nothing will so me trying to improve last ride 🙄👩👩👦👦
Great to see how Leif deals with the horse who bulges out on the left shoulder and right haunches in. Just like my boy. He's always been so difficult on right canter especially.
I like all what you’re saying but are you concerned that her ears are back all the time when she’s working in the contact and her tail is swishing with a cross look on her face
Are you referring to the bits? In FEI dressage a double bridle (2 bits) is mandatory when showing internationally, wether a horse needs it or not. However the curb bit is meant to communicate something different than the snaffle. The snaffle is what does most of the basic communication and the curb is meant to influence the poll. The goal is to not have to be heavy in the rein. Most western single bits are actually a lot more severe than a double bridle. It certainly can be miss used like any tool can be. Since this ride, this horse has improved drastically and gotten much lighter on the bit, softer in the mouth by addressing the riders biomechanics, having her be stronger in her “bear down” than the hold on the rein which will influence the horses head and neck connection and cause them to be lighter without having to be heavy handed. Not sure if that answers your question or not.

Glad to here! let us know if there is anything specific you would like to see Leif teach on!
Could Leif do a biomechanics video on common mistakes (in how a rider's seat may go "wrong" and how to correct?) 😁
@@anxiety_free3865 I will definitely put that on our list of videos to make!
I'm so glad I discovered this channel. 😍

I think her ears are back because she's "listening" Her owner talks to her quite a bit. They have a good relationship. 😊

What is all of that nonsense on the horse's face. Are you so scared?
