Well. If someone really wants a fursuit, the cheapest alternative is to make it yourself.
It cracks me up bc furries want luxury suits for beginner prices. Like they’ll complain about how expensive MCB or Zuri is, then you give them a big list of great beginner makers within their budget, and then they get upset bc they want a “big name brand” suit. Like idk get your money up then 😭
ide happily buy from a good quality beginner if i were older + had more money! plus when you buy from smaller makers, it gives them a better reputation if youre happy with the suit, potentially sending them down the path to become a larger maker!
@@jellylemonade1655 yeah often times those beginner makers are the ones who become big!! i remember first commissioning thats furred up in like 2014 and look at them now

Even 'Budget' isn't super cheap. Like, just materials alone, you're looking at a couple thousand. And that's assuming the maker is established enough to have all their tools figured out and doesn't need to go 'Oh shoot I need to get 'X' tool to do the eyes/ears/fur'
Like...I have all the tools. 75% of my price is the materials alone. (I'd ask more, but honestly, I'm a beginner. I don't even have any full suits completed yet, just ears and tails that I sell separately.)

fursuit expensive because the labour and material costs that turn into a fursuit require a lot. Fur is expensive and most makers are solo.

Im a fursuit maker and id say the main reson for fursuit prices being so high is fur cost, speically for non American makers like me, most good fur companies are American and international shipping is not kind, the shipping for a body suit worth of fur to my country is around 700 dollors- so Ive started getting fur shipped to family members in America then I pick it up when I visit them 🫠
Not just the materials but the insane amount of effort that fursuit creators go into making it a beautiful unique design.

Personally I rather make my own fursuit because I am creative. So that is a option if you are creative and want to cut the cost a little bit

Yeah bc of how much the materials they're using which idk how much exactly but ik it costs a lot and the sweat and effor they out in. So it makes sense. But i believe at first i was thinking it won't cost a lot, idk i prob didn't. And at 4:18 i was thinking everyone went crazy over it because it was so much cartoonish and was cute to them, but the creator was the reason why?
But this video was helpful and i mean, man I would grind to buy my own realistic fursuit from someone. One day i might get one and finally be able to experience many things

I mainly use yarn to make into fur or find fake fur on sale. I have a plastic canvas head with needle felt parts on it. I don't like foam. ☺️🦔

Unfortunately in any business selfishness takes over the ability and fairness of others. Personally I absolutely love business owners who are genuine and don’t allow themselves to go to selfishness but is reasonable at the same time.

I am making my fursuit but still it is a lot of money and work right now, I am putting fur on the head and it is my first time making one so I hope it turns out good
My only advice is to not expect it to be perfect. ALWAYS trust the process until the very end and If you notice flaws even afterwards then you already know you’re advancing xD

There’s also partial suiting as well that I would imagine impacts the price too right? Paying only for specific parts of a fursuit, like a puzzle piece.
i also think it depends on the fursona if you have a fursona with stripes,spots,horns,wings,multi color ,etc then your fursuit will cost more.

I have gone to conventions and seen fursuiits for about $3K.
Maybe it's because some of the materials that are used for fur suits cost a lot or maybe the fur suits have bright and beautiful colors?

i now have an idea. i could become a maker and then i can pay for college. its like 3 years away and ive been browsing at good college that i want to go to and holy crap its expensive so if i become a maker i can afford colleges without debt or scholarships because lets be fair im probably not getting a scholarship to a school for psychology
People tend to forget art takes time, so it costs money!

Everything has a high and low price. Just look and be cautious. Not Everything that is "expensive" is unobtainable.

I just saw a video about fursuiting and medical condition and it got me wondering. I am an autistic kid with epileptic attacks who may drinks too less water, suffers from air shortage and gets dizzy by hot temperatures. Is it even a good idea to go fursuiting or not (fusuits are expensive and it would be a wast if i cant use it)? And even if I should do it, where do I need to watch out for? And do you may have some tips for me?

There are plenty of disabled people who fursuit but you do need to take extra safety precautions! I’d recommend you never fursuit without someone there to make sure you’re okay and not to suit for long periods of time. A fullsuit would be way more hot than a partial so I’d recommend a partial too. Your air flow is restricted in a fursuit so take multiple breaks to drink water and cool down
