Just built this commander. One of my favorite includes is Cold-Eyed Selkie. 1/1 with Islandwalk and when it deals combat damage to a player you draw that many cards. Play a green spell that turn and you’re drawing 5 cards.
instead of Loxodon Warhammere, consider Behemoth Sledge. it gives +2/+2 instead of +3/0, but is white and green, so when you cast it its extra value. or play both as backup.
@@MDKcde i like the cloak, no equip cost is the upside. Downside being that if your commander gets removed its gone. But also stacks with lifelink to gain extra life. Good one.
I just built a version of this deck. One of the strongest things I did after my first night was proc Storm of Saruman on Double Major and get three Aragorns. If you think you get a ton of procs with a single copy, cast a three color spell with three Aragorns.
He became my pinnacle for human tribal. I had no idea the plethora of multi color humans available with effects that's just slap with Aragorns effects.
I never considered building ANY 4-color decks before, given how crazy and expensive the land base would be. Now, though? You may have just changed my mind.
Yeah if you want the deck to perform at best speed. Then it would cost a lot. You could go with show/check/pain lands option but certain situations depends luck of the draw, slow.
There are two lands per color that can tap for any color chosen plus another now, such as Thriving Isle. Get those eight, Pillars of Parun, the auto-includes (command tower, exotic orchard, path of ancestry) and you have a decent mana base already.
I would love a deck tech on Gandalf the White! I never built an artifact deck before because whenever i do my brain scrambles. Would love to see your take on it :D
This! I just found this channel but I'm going through the decklists and there's some very fun looking ones for great value. I have a Gandalf the White I would love to make into a commander.
I already built this deck. I went Multicolor Tribal/Human Tribal. The deck is fun. I'm still trying to decide if I keep it as I have it now, or focus on the multicolor aspect of it. I highly recommend it.
@@killpioo2 Lost Isle Calling Whenever you scry, put a verse counter on Lost Isle Calling. {4}{U}{U}, Exile Lost Isle Calling: Draw a card for each verse counter on Lost Isle Calling. If it had seven or more verse counters on it, take an extra turn after this one. Activate only as a sorcery.
I've noticed a bunch of charms with incidental targetted pump effects. You know, you could use Vesuvan Duplimancy to double up your commander with each aura and pump spell.
Zurgo and Ojutai is my recommendation for this deck. 3 commander triggers, 8/8 flying, haste, hexproof, attacker that returns to hand so you can do it every turn. Plus draw a card. Insane value and a budget card 🤘
I know it's out of the budget parameters, but HO-LEE the new Narset from Aftermath is evil in this deck. I've had a few games with these two on the board at the same time and I've never seen a token army get so buff so fast.
Now a question for this. May be dumb im still new to magic. But if you use this with leyline of the guildpact, which makes nonland permanents all colors. Would every card then trigger all his abilities?
Wayfarer’s bauble really shines in a deck like this, I’ve been playing with him on arena and there are many times where I wish I could have same land ramp that didn’t require me to have green mana in my opening hand
7:18 can someone please confirm to me this: he stated if you cast “Loxodon Warhammer”, then equip to your commander that because said commander now has lifelink would now also mean anytime your commander’s “red spell” ability activates you would gain 3 life?
Correct. Your commander now has lifelink, meaning any damage dealt by him, combat or noncombat, grants you that much life. So whenever you cast a red spell, he will do 3 damage to an opponent and you will gain 3 life.
you need more overrun effects in here and less slow enchantments and token generators. you want that commander damage getting through. you need to actually play this deck to know that though
When I first saw AtU, my first reaction was that it looked like somebody let the air out of a Kenrith. Even here, I don't really get it. If repeating "value value value" over and over again won games, Josh Lee Kwai would be a world champion. The problem here is that, for a "unifier", he lacks a central unifying premise. He just does miscellaneous color things, but to what end? Decks with a more unified (ha) concept will run this "strategy" over with their consistency and redundancy (why do you think monocolor commanders are so popular?) and your 1/1 humans, bolts, Giant Growths, and Scry 2s are going to lose pace because your cards require precise mana requirements but your opponent's cards probably don't. You are being rewarded for poor deck synergy, and IMHO you aren't beimg rewarded enough. This is why I'm generally not a fan of WUBRG tribals. They all turn into "multicolor goodstuff" whose only unifying principle is being as many colors as possible while maybe being a good Magic the Gathering card if there's time in the day... Jodah. The deck has no consistent feel outside of what you happen to draw. Now me, I like picking up a deck and knowing generally what it wants to do. The "personality" of a deck is one of my favorite parts of EDH, and of Magic in general. But AtU seems like he's going to essentially be doing random things all game and maybe it'll work out. And that assumes nobody ever aims removal at you, thus shutting down the entire reason you tied your hands behind your back during brewing in the first place.
@@lynxthewise7233 Human tribal also has a lot of those same problems. Unlike a lot of other species in MtG, there are so many "Humans" out there that there isn't a unifying throughline in the same way as, say, Merfolk or Vampire.
Human tribal has been hard to focus because there's so many and not much unifying theme. This commander is great because it allows you to take all the good humans from all 4 colors and focus on any 1 theme or even multi theme style decks. Thus, the unifyer is born.
eligeth is not the golden pig in mine. the scry is not what you should be focusing on. and neither of the tokens. get them when you can... yes. but make no mistake.. you are the beatdown
after extensive testing I disagree with the direction of this list. curve is too high. too many token generators. imo in a competitive enviornment I think priotizing the triggers like this is best... green, white, then blue or red wherever you can get them. you are the beatdown and want to go wide. many things on your list I tried and were too slow and dead in hand later. lower the curve. pump it up and protect it more and get through. but appreciate the video

There's also the aura, Armadillo Cloak and its functional reprint.

@dekinai1969 but paying colored mana is what this deck is looking for.
