I love these twos relationship because it really depicts how startling and heartbreaking losing a loved one to radicalisation looks and feels like. They shift and you change and they keep shifting into a heuristic version of themselves that you can’t even recognise them anymore and the time and love they shared with them is still ever present despite the desperation.
Their situation happened to me, and I can tell you it definitely feels awful. My childhood best friend and I were inseparable, until some fucked up shit happened to him that he kept hidden from me until he broke down. I'm so lost in life, this anime was a slice of peace during the hard burden of being in my mid twenties and having failed at everything I was supposed to do, getting a house, being independent, making my mom proud, my family proud, my friends proud, my girlfriend, I've failed at everything, I have debts I don't know how to pay, living of art is not making ends meet and deppression has been making more and more room in my life lately, I don't speak to anyone about this, never have, so, basically thank you for making this, it means a lot to me, during these hard times in life.
This anime helped me a lot too, during hard times (mostly cuz of school and failing classes) i dont get why my parents just cant try to understand me.. So yeah i think i kinda relate haha, but honestly its fine. Whatever your going through, i hope ur in a better place now I hope this kinda helped 💗💐
i understand how you feel, i spent my last two years of high school in and out of it, had to go online because i couldn’t do it anymore and just cried in my car in the school parking lot instead of going into class. i ruined my senior year. graduated a year ago and immediately went to residential treatment for 2 months. i turned 19 this november. i have a job and that’s all that occupies my time. i can’t leave until i finish my treatment here. everyone else i know is out at college, pursuing their futures and i’m stuck right here in this little town, living the same day over and over again. its suffocating. they’re all free and i’m still here rotting just the same as i used to be. life goes on but im still here unmoving. our situations aren’t the same but it feels eerily similar. the feeling of lagging so far behind everyone else and the guilt. needing to prove yourself but being stuck so badly. i hope things get better for you, truly. i’m holding onto hope that i can escape this cycle and i hope you do too

Most people in their mid twenties feel like they’re supposed to have it together but that’s not how it works lol. You’re lucky and had connections if you’re well off by this age

Wheather you see the relationship as romantic or not this video beautifully captures the happiness of their youth and juxtaposes it perfect it’s the utter despair after Rika and Toji. Weather friends or lovers there’s a clear bond their and watching the video feels a bit reminiscent of losing someone close to you personally. You captured the emotions perfectly, it even brought me back to my youth and people I no longer talk to for one reason or another. The art is also gorgeous, realistic without being uncanny, the use of colors is amazing and the backgrounds are picked wonderfully. i need you to know that this video specifically is what finally sold me on satosugu. like, not just a "oh they're definitely in love, there's something going on here", it was suddenly a "oh my god they were in LOVE and they literally can never go back to that. there is no going back to those youthful days. they made choices, and sometimes you can't save the ones you love from going down some terrible, dark paths." i have rewatched this video at least twenty times since i first saw it in october. it truly has changed the way i see the hidden inventory arc. i love this video so much. your art is absolutely stunning. i hope you realize just how influential this was to me, as strange as it is to say. keep making art and doing what you're doing, because it's amazing.

I haven't even watched this series, but this brought me to tears. You're clearly an amazingly skilled story teller and animator. Each scene was packed with emotion; with amazing eye on cinematography, design, colour, etc. I was blown away by the timing and how you framed each scene. You clearly have a love for the story/characters, as well as your craft; and your hardwork really showed throughout this entire animation. I am definitely going to be subscribing because i only see even more amazing works in the future. You probably won't see this, which is okay; but i hope you know how amazed everyone is with your work. I also want to say that I've always dreamed of becoming an animator or comic artist, or just something where i can create stories with art. Wheather you see the relationship as romantic or not this video beautifully captures the happiness of their youth and juxtaposes it perfect it’s the utter despair after Rika and Toji. Weather friends or lovers there’s a clear bond their and watching the video feels a bit reminiscent of losing someone close to you personally. You captured the emotions perfectly, it even brought me back to my youth and people I no longer talk to for one reason or another.
The art is also gorgeous, realistic without being uncanny, the use of colors is amazing and the backgrounds are picked wonderfully. You clearly have a wonderful eye for emotions and settings and be it JJK or something else I can’t wait to see more work done by you.

You're clearly an amazingly skilled story teller and animator. Each scene was packed with emotion; with amazing eye on cinematography, design, colour, etc.
I was blown away by the timing and how you framed each scene.
You clearly have a love for the story/characters, as well as your craft; and your hardwork really showed throughout this entire animation.
I am definitely going to be subscribing because i only see even more amazing works in the future.
You probably won't see this, which is okay; but i hope you know how amazed everyone is with your work.
I also want to say that I've always dreamed of becoming an animator or comic artist, or just something where i can create stories with art. I've had to let that dream go, but it's works like these that inspire some hope in me. Where i want to at least learn for myself, even if i have to go extremely slow lol.
