Glad you liked it so much, Sean - I've been recommending Philomena to everyone for years! Philomena is really Diane Morgan, a British comedian and actor -- she's awesome! I first saw her playing the role of Pholomena on Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe, a satirical look at the week's news -- one of my favourite things ever!
Wasn't aware this was British humor. I'm American and my friend's older sister Anna had this same type of humor. We were once at the Minnesota State Fair (20 years ago way before this show aired) and she was asking this person who was showing everyone an antique phonograph if the people in the past can hear us. Then I saw that Philomena do the same thing in Cunk on Earth. Haha She pranked call radio stations with this type of surreal humor. She made up words like "Hexaboxagon" and asked for it in department stores. She was a real life troll before the term existed.

I read that the "experts" were told that it WAS a Mockumentary, however, they did NOT know what questions she would ask and were told to answer as if they were explaining to an ignorant child. Obviously, there were many bloopers, esp.on the side of the experts. I have searched far and wide and can't find the Gag Reel. Sorry, Mate, I just realized I didn't answer or address ur comment 😂 Oh well, "Let's have a moment's silence for Laika (the Russian dog who went to space and didn't return)... There's dead dogs in space...in Star Wars?!" -Ep. 5 🤣
It’s the send up on a very serious genre which we’ve seen so much of that’s genius. She was made for it. It’s her accent and dry dry dry precise delivery. I’m American and this is gold to me. I’m glad you liked it so much too

Philomena is great and the actors character in afterlife is really funny as well! Speaking of you should definitely watch some clips from afterlife, it’s lead is played by Ricky Gervais, who is actually an S tier actor. (Before you watch make sure it’s a ‘funny’ compilation, because half the show is extremely depressing, while the other half is hilarious)
