    Mine did the same but I fixed it with emery cloth and about 10min of my time. I would buy this again. It is so nice to have the basics with you when you’re away from your vehicle.

      Hi and thankyou for your comment, i couldn’t agree more that the versatility of the can is brilliant, and a much better price point compared to Stihl! Its just such a shame that these little issues let it down as they really should not be an issue.
      Out of curiosity what did you do in order to fix it?
      Kind regards
      Josh

    Mine did the same. I swapped the fuel spout for the non-spill bar oil spout (shorter grey one) and haven't had any problems.

      @@jburrco3761 The grey one has been on for more than a year. The two different plastics seem to make a difference. As some have mentioned, the dark black spout's material swells and jams. The grey material doesn't seem to be affected in the same way.

      @@deehannaway5754 Thankyou for sharing that, I will definitely give it a go as the black ones are terrible, i found the main issue to be the O rings, you replace the O rings and it works great for a while then goes back to sticking, im not sure if it is a reaction between the O rings and the plastic or like you say swelling of the plastic itself. Again thankyou for sharing!!

    Why would you flip your fuel can upside down and expect the file to stay in

    • @jburrco3761
      @jburrco3761  Рік тому

      Hi. The file holders have sprung steel catches that are designed to keep the files in place when refuelling your saw, unfortunately on these cans seem to suffer from those spring catches not being quite up to the job.
      Its not quite a case of just turning it upside down but when refuelling naturally the can end up pretty much upside down and the files fall out due to the catches not working properly.

    Ive had my new Husky combi can for about 2 months now with no issues!- i do like the clickin combi spanner slot & the visible fuel/oil levels! Unlike the old one.
    Ive still got the old type Husky can with the green spouts which ive had for over 10years & replaced the fuel nozzle just once! the oil spout being just an ordinary non auto stop filler-
    I dont think the new can will outlast the old one? But we'll see hopefully?
    Also if you're an occasional user i wouldnt advise storing fuel with these auto nozzles- maybe use the other caps which are supplied with this can!
    Also for the non pro user avoid e10 petrol !!!!

    Are you using ethanol containing fuel which will ruin seals?

    • @jburrco3761
      @jburrco3761  2 роки тому +1

      Hi and thank you for your comment. All of the pump fuel in the UK contains Ethanol, we have either 5% which is being phased out or 10%. A product called ASPEN has been introduced to the market which is an alternative fuel for various petrol engine machines which is supposed to be more environmentally friendly and not as corrosive however it comes with a much higher price tag.

      The main benefit of aspen is what you don't breathe in the exhaust fumes. The difference to the user is night and day.

  • @superloopy24v

    It's not the rubber seals inside, it's the plastic parts that slide on each other that are too tight, possibly due to the fuel possibly due to the loading on it causing the end of the inner part to swell out. It's not easy to dismantle but it can be done and re-assembled. Once apart you can feel the drag on the two parts if you slide them together partially dismantled. The Stihl auto stop can is much better in terms of reliability of the auto stop.

    Nozzles are very very poor glad you said you stated the only last weeks mine crapped out with very very light use the main issue is the O ring is hollow and breaks very easily i replaced the Ring and works better but never perfect. The oil spout you are using crap for oil alright i never used it on mine the free flowing one supplied is better do i used it for the petrol side and same old story. Hard to justify buying the stihl can as it comes without the spouts for the same price as the Husqvarna that comes with three but far wiser to just buy the stihl can and separate spouts save you a lot of frustration. Five years use without any issues worth the extra 20 quid for sure.

      Thankyou for your comment. It was a very un-pleasant to experience such issues with something that in my eyes is very simple, and considering that all be it cheaper than the Stihl can, the husqvarna can still comes with a fairly hefty price tag for what it is. I normally speak quite highly of Husky products but this for shore is not something I would recommend. I completely agree that the free flow spout for the oil is the way to go, the autostop oil spout is utterly useless! Like yourself I soon swapped over to a stihl can and toch wood to this point I've had no issues!
      I hope you enjoyed the video and thankyou for your comment!

    The main reason for purchasing and using the Combi container is the safety of the prevention of gasoline overflowing onto a hot engine causing a fire and the ease of having both the bar oil and mixed gas in one hand leaving the other hand free to carry the chain saw. If the automatic spout is sub par, spend an additional $30.00 to purchase quality spouts that will last; the spouts on my normal California required auto spouts have lasted for years with no malfunctions and they cost around $15.00 each.
    As for the files falling out when turning the gas can upside down, just remove the files before turning the can over, you have taken it upon your self to announce to the UA-cam world to not purchase the Combi Can, a can that allows you to not have to make multiple trips to retrieve gas cans and bar oil, going to and from the worksite because you don’t want to spend a few bucks and take the chance of overflowing a gas tank and start a fire endangering yourself and possibly starting a forest fire.
    Additionally you should spend a few bucks to buy a better camera, your vertical format is annoying, so is your rooster,

      Hi @buzzincalifornia.
      Thankyou for your comment. Firstly id like to say that if i were to go out and spend an extra $30 bucks on-top of the price for the husky combi can i may as-well go and buy the Stihl can like i mentioned in the video
      With regards to the files, the huski combi can is designed with a spring system that is supposed to hold the files in place so that you do NOT have to remove them every time you want to fill up, however they do not work correctly just like auto nozzles therefore there is a flaw in the design as it does not work how it was intended to, therefore not fit for purpose.
      As someone who uses a combi can on a daily basis as part of my every day tools, I am fully aware of their intended purpose and the benefits of using one.
      In no way am i announcing to the youtube world NOT to use a combi can, i am simply stating my thoughts, opinions and experiences and demonstrating flaws that i have found with this particular one. All i am simply announcing is that i personally would not buy another Husqvarna can and would simply go for another brand such as stihl or oregon as there are many other options on the market.
      With regards to my camera, i am sorry that my format is not up to a satisfactory standard for yourself, unfortunately i make these videos simply with what i have, and that isnt allot, so i just try to make the best i can.
      With regards to my rooster, next time i will ask him very nicely to keep his noise down, but he is a cockerel so i highly doubt he will listen!
      Thankyou for your comment and for watching
