That is so interesting, I have been wondering how to do that. If I wanted to do a drawing with. scale of 1:76, how would I set up the grid ? I have a physical scale ruler at 4mm to 1’-0, would I make the grid 4mm or would I scan in the ruler? Thanks so much
Hii!! Wow , 1:76 is such an interesting scale. But yes!! , it's better you scan it on an a3 sheet, import image, reduce opacity and then adjust the grid size according to it. Let me know how it goes 😊♥️
Hi, So I am currently using ipad pro 10.5" 1st gen . It works good. If you are planning to get one, you can go for ipad pro 2021 12.9", apple pencil gen 2.(it has 100+ layers).
@@sudharsonvenkatasamy625 Hello😊, I am so used to working with mm, so I am not very sure about feet and inches. But I am aware of , 1cm in 1:100 scale is equal to 0.0328Ft or 0.393inches in 1:100 scale. So, A3 size in ft is 0.97x1.37 You can try setting each grid size to 0.0328 ft . So this was my research, but not 100 percent sure. You can try drawing something in both procreate , and autocad, take a printout to see if they are both the same. Hope this helps. Sorry for not giving you accurate answers ❤❤
@@rahulmaron you can use hand measurements too. Nothing wrong with that. But as an architect or designer, to use a scale and a reasonable page setup has become a regular thing .hence.....
How can you draw a composite floor plans for a multi- storey building when locations of lift shaft, water pipes, sewage down pipes and balconies are aligned ? Thank you.
You can make the sheet dimensions bigger( maybe A2 /A1)and try accommodating basement, typical floor , and the terrace floor plan in the same, one above the other. If you want to show beams and columns , you can show in the same file, making the beams as one object in a single layer and duplicating and placing it all over and grouping all the detail layers into one. You can do the same for plumbing , electrical etc Or, You can save the plans as a jpeg from the previous canvas, import it in a new canvas, reduce the opacity, and then show all your other details. Note : do not make the mistake of merging all layers in the main canvas (floor, wall, furnitures, doors, windows) Because you wouldn't be able to modifying the plan in the future if you do so Hence it is always better to export it as Jpeg, import in a new canvas of same scale and sheet dimensions and continue your other details over it. Hope this helps . Thanks for supporting ♥️😊
Hi, thanks for watching. ♥️ You just have to download a png scale image from pinterest. Since our grids are already set to scale, you just have to expand the scale measurement to that of the grids (I.e, : one grid = 1m = 1cm on the the png scale ) It can be a lil confusing , but the more you work on it, it becomes east in time. If not, u can design on A3 and print on A4. It will still be proportionate..
