French is a useless language. English is useful as it is the standard throughout the world particularly for business and IT which is where Africa needs to be at the forefront. However, the children of Africa should be learning formally their mother tongue wherever they're from in Africa in conjunction with English, not just English. Unfortunately, English is also a very racist language, it's terminology has history of racist terms. Anything prefixed with 'black' is considered negative, 'black magic', 'black market (illegal market)', 'black cat', 'black practices', 'black people' , etc. In addition words like 'fair' are used to describe a positive but is also associated with 'whiter' skin complexion.

I respect your opinion to the core that Africa is great through its diversity of ethnicity and linguistic variations but Swahili its only spoken in the eastern part of the continent.. We in the west, I speak for myself hardly know a word in swahili, Swahili is less than 10% of the languages in Africa as a whole so basically. So saying it should be the language spoken in the whole Africa even President kagame would desist to that!!!
