Financial Evidence Requirements for Form I-134

- When you submit Form I-134, Declaration of Financial Support, you will also need to provide supporting documents to evidence your answers on the form. In other words, you'll need proof that the facts you've provided are true. Most notably, you must submit proof of identity and proof of income. Additional documentation may be necessary depending on your answers in the I-134 declaration.
In addition to submitting Form I-134, Declaration of Financial Support, the supporter must establish with evidence that they have the income or financial resources to support the foreign national beneficiary. Although the minimum income threshold is acceptable, immigration officers weigh more heavily on income that exceeds the requirement as it is also more reliable. In other words, a supporter with a stable, well-paying job is a better option to include as a sponsor than someone with unreliable employment.

I know I need to file a separate I-134 for the joint-sponsor, but I'm not sure if I need to file two separate I-134s for them, i.e. one form for my father, and one for my mother. Thank you for the videos. they are very informative. I had a quick question in regards to that very topic. on Page 6 of the form Item 14. it does ask to list any dependents or any person you financially support. does one include for instance child support and alimony? am sure you would based on what I understood. do you tabulate the total amount you give annually and deduct it from the yearly salary and do you specify the relation as being child and ex wife? or do you explain that part on page 8 and provide more detail?

An employment verification letter is not always required as it depends on certain circumstances such as not being able to show income from a new job where you haven’t completed a payment cycle with the company yet. Hi there. Thank you for this video. I have two questions regarding K-1 visa:
1) I wondered if the joint sponsor and primary sponsor can show evidence of financial support together? Ex: if my mom is very close to or at the income threshold and shows her tax return & W2, would the cash from my beneficiary and I's savings accounts be able to makeup the difference?

Hello I have a question, My fiance and I filed for a K1 by the beginning of 2022 shortly after that he was terminated at his job. Since covid happened and there was back log they finally reached out to us on september of this year to continue with the Visa process. I am a little confused how I calculate household size.
So, basically my household is 3 people, but in I-134A I provide only my income. Does it mean I should have income sufficient for 3 beneficiaries and me (household of 4) correct?
