Hey! Big fan and co-creator of the deck, loved the video! I’ve more recently moved to playing blood moon over harsh mentor as it’s a lot better into nadu, and the reasoning behind push over discharge is that it dodges suncleanser & kills nadu and phlage more consistently, plus it makes the mana a little easier. Also, I like running a couple fable in this deck, it’s synergistic with marionette and ocelot and being able to loot away redundant bombardments is nice as well. I’m generally pretty aggressive in boarding out rites and chthonian, but even against combo decks bombardment is pretty good because it often speeds up the clock by a turn, makes t3 kills possible and t4 kills way more consistent.
Big fan and also judge here: Ocelot pride will make a copy of the Ob Nixilis token, and it will enter with the same loyalty that the Casualty token entered with.
Yes, it is fencing. the "Sword" is called Spada/Epée. The other modalities are Sciabola/Sabre and Fioretto/Foil. In both Epée and Foil you can only touch you opponent using the tip, while in Sabre you can use the whole blade to make cuts. And in Sabre and Foil you can only hit certain parts of the body (the torso for Foil, and the torso and arms for Sabre), while in the Epée you can hit anywhere, from the foot to the top of the head. There are some other differences, but the biggest ones are these. They're all modalities of Fencing/Scherma. You can think of them as formats, like modern and pauper.
Against Nadu in R1, alternative line would have been: Guide of Souls + Bombardment Attack with 3/4 Guide of Souls If unblocked, down to 4, then can sac Servo (2 damage), Guide of Souls (2 damage x 2), and Apprentice (1), total of 10. If blocked by Endurance, the fetch + saccing would be 8 damage also.
17:06 Play marionette to get two energy putting you up to 3 energy. Attack with guide, marrionette, and servo. Trigger guide to make marionette fly so 6 damage is in the sky and if servo is blocked they take two from your two marionettes off of the servo death. Also you have village rites to ping them for another two if they had an endurance to block a flyer. 7 damage anyway around it. You might see this line later though since I'm not through with the VDO, so we shall see.

Except there's an MTGO bug for that rn :(
Question, what happens when ocelot copies the orc army token?
Just curious how this works? I thought tokens couldn't copy counters? Or since it's "loyalty" it's different?
The token is a 0/0 and die@@samuelrodriguez9409
@samuelrodriguez9409
I think it enter and die since 0/0, but if you have guide of soul on the battlefield, you gain life and energy tok
Definitely need more Pauper content. Format is great and a lot of fun.

I for one would rather watch a Mengu VEEDEO than the Olympics...
Thumbnail is top tier
Lunch at desk in the office and a new Mengu veedeo with Goblin Bombardment truly perfect timing.
Enjoy!

Duel commander veedeos please!
I kept thinking it was weird that people haven’t been playing goblin bombardment in modern. The historic deck is absurd
Cazz cazz cazz 🤣🤣
What do you tend to board Ob Nixilis in for?
