I love everything about that locomotive! The Hancock Longbell 3 chime whistle, the humoungus driving wheels, the smoke deflectors, and ect. Definitely one of my most favorite steam locomotives of all time!
Facts about trains: Diesels are used to be a back engine for steam engines or a guide for braking and helping move the cargo. So many diesel locomotives called CO-CO diesels Is used to double header for the long loads and they used as a guide for the famous steam engine and they will painted to famous train back engine. As you can see in this video union pacific FEF-3 844 have a union pacific diesel with flag livery. Flying Scotsman have a diesel like that with a flag in the side of his body
0:34-0:58 That has to be the healthiest Hancock Longbell 3 Chime there is right now. What quite a lot of people don’t realize is that the highest notes on most Longbell 3 Chimes have stopped working like on 611 which is why it doesn’t sound anywhere near as good as it did in the 90s (I’m aware it had multiple Longbell 3 Chimes throughout its life). This one is playing a crisp D#, G, and A#.
It's hard for me to believe the FEF-3 Locomotive which 844 is has a top speed of 124mph Mike. Though for a while it was 8444 due to a GP-35 Diesel needing the 844 number. When that Diesel was withdrawn from service 8444 reverted back to it's original number of 844. Just a little fun fact. But you put together yet another brilliant clip nonetheless.
