I love Suzanne Vega!! Really as a kid, she was the first person with my name that I knew who was famous! I have quite a few of her albums including this one and saw her at The Pavilion in Glasgow years ago; she was amazing.
My teenage crush. As a kid in New Zealand you were my everything. My favourite song of yours. So incredibly wonderful to see and hear you after all these years, sounding and looking divine. All the best.
Cool, so cool. That song shone in an era of electro and hair metal (no judgement) and almost forty years later I still get the same feeling that I'm listening to a work of art. There are still true artists out there, untethered by boxes. They're just a bit older now...
If I remember rightly from previous festivals the BBC has a semi-private quiet performance area for interviews and 1-3 song acoustic sets, which they then release on iplayer, or show between major stage sets when broadcast ("earlier today we got a set with... " type )
Why don't the BBC put on this concert. She just does not come up to the North East anymore. I saw her live back in Newcastle in 2005 and again at the Sage Gateshead, and she was really very good. Very enjoyable performances. I have all her albums, and much rare footage from tv appearnces.
Far higher quality songwriting than many of the younger bands ... classic .And far more solid imsge than all those student-looking bands with their jeans and t shirts and no idea whatsoever of what its like to have a strong aesthetic
Aesthetic? Fashion per se? Pfft. Keep it to "I believe", rather than claiming you're an objective guru. It appears you're not resourceful, rather biased in your own bubble.
One of America' best singer songwriters EVER.
The songs from that first album still sound great so many years later.
Suzanne … both you and your music are still beautiful
She still sounds wonderful!
Her voice is still perfect, and the guitar work by the guy on the left is awesome
Loved this album, one of the most underrated albums of the 80's
Wonderful song and great performance!
Good to hear she had still got such a good voice.
Still sounds great and looks lovely ❤
Suzanne sounds as great as ever. Love, love, lover her voice. Gerry Leonard on guitar brings the music to life and gives it more depth. Fantastic.
Suzanne Vega has written so many good songs, great to hear this one.
My goodness, her voice after all of these years!! Just wow!!
Tantos años después y compruebo que te sigo amando (admirando).

I’ve been going to Glastonbury since 97 ….and Suzanne at the Acoustic Stage is always the first act I look for ♥️
WOW. Just great 👍. Awesome. Pure class. And that smile at the end. Nice.
Fantastic original and totally beautiful song ❤
Timeless 🥰🥰🥰
They sound excellent and amazingly full for 2 people.
I have seen both Suzanne and Gerry Leonard twice and they do put on a
really good show. Suzanne is so underrated both as a songwriter and
performer.
Such great lyrics "Held me in your handsome fist" gah! I love her music
What a great voice, and songwriting! That was such a great album
OMG! She still sounds like in her younger years...and is still as beautiful as ever.
Magnificent songwriter.
🎶
My teenage crush. As a kid in New Zealand you were my everything. My favourite song of yours. So incredibly wonderful to see and hear you after all these years, sounding and looking divine. All the best.
Same. Did a roadie to New Plymouth in 1987 and listened to that album over and over again. Still in love.
pure joy
What a treat to see this video of Suzanne Vega. She sounds incredible.
wonderful to hear your voice in these days. stay healthy.
Sounds great! Artists like her deserve more airplay and visibility. Thanks! ✌️🎻😎🎻
Time has actually given her voice a bit more gravity, which really works here. Great performance. Was anyone there?
I do hope folk where there. Maybe a bit too much gravity for most.
No audience here, this was done in the BBC area for broadcast
Beautiful song from Suzanne, can’t wait to see her live in Feb23 in Manchester and enjoy her music love her voice and style
i love her so much, and seeing the performances of this song through years really made me emotional
God i love this woman
The voice is still really great and Gerry's guitar playing and arrangement are wonderful!
Still a beautiful voice... And great to see Gerry Leonard playing too 💗

I'm on the same page brother 👍👍🙏
What a great artist. I missed the first round of this song, but it's really amazing!!!
Wow, her voice has gotten even better. Takes me back, great memories. Thank you
Great, looking forward to see her, them in Trst - Trieste on Sunday. 💚 She is getting better and better with years.
Big thanks to GERRY LEONARD ...great guitarist.
Just saw this. Great as ever - one of my favourite songs. Not that far apart age wise so good know that we can still rock it!!
Suzanne still looks and sounds fantastic, maybe even better than her debut year. This was the first song I ever heard by her.
The first song I heard/saw was Small Blue Thing, which she performed on The Tube when it was released in 1985 I think.
This is one of the best wifedom songs of all time.
Quality stands the test of time ❤
Suzane Vega, única… uhuuu!!!❤🌷
Such a cool voice 😎
So beautiful, many thanks for sharing !!!💙
What a beautiful music.
Great to see her again! I’ve been thinking about her since Sofi Tukker sampled that beautiful sticky chorus from Tom’s Dinner for Summer in New York.
Love that!
Brilliant ❤
OMG this is amazing how did I miss this performance. Now I heard it love this ❤❤❤

Same voice since his first album, she's amazing.
First saw SV perform this around the mid 1980's . Her early material by her best in my opinion (eg Luka and this track )
super. go on. thx. ahoy volker
and this is how we should age ladies

Very good memories when i was for the first time living on my own !! Good old days beautifull songs !
Like, 10 out of 10
brilliant...can't believe she's 62..
I know. She looks fantastic!
1985…, for me the best music year in history 🙂
Why doesn't she ever come to New Zealand / Australia ?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was the 1,000th like LOL. Just saw it go from 999 to 1k.
Voice sounds exactly the same holy crap
💖
Brawo
This music seems to be like those special wine bottles from family vineyards that you cannot find in the supermarket... :)

My dear, I love Susanna too, but do not be aphoristic in general. Take a look at the lyrics of Adrianne Lenker for example ...
Aesthetic? Fashion per se? Pfft.
Keep it to "I believe", rather than claiming you're an objective guru.
It appears you're not resourceful, rather biased in your own bubble.
i bet Suzanne used to be young student-looking wearing jeans and a t shirt when she just started her career.
@@egorzimowski3505 Not really, no. Reference video: ua-cam.com/video/CXb6Lb_h0Oo/v-deo.html
@@egorzimowski3505 I saw her many times when she was young, playing at small clubs. She wore a tuxedo, not jeans.
Was anyone not playing Glastonbury this year???
Except for Paul M, Wolf Alice, Gabriels, Crowded House, Wet Leg, Billy Ellish , Plant/Krauss etc. !
And that love affair is worth a watch xx
That set looks like the aftermath of an explosion in a pound shop! It no wonder Suzanne kept her shades on!
love john mcenroe's solo's
"You cannot be serious!"
Wow, who knew Billy Idol was so good on guitar.
