You know I've been wondering for a while now. What's the story of this relationship between Keyframe, goldenfox, and AnY? Never have gotten a answer for that.
That ending... on the international woman's day. You guys have some guts. ^^ And yes, I know this was very likely not intentional. PS: The video itself was a really great review and I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong. It just reminded me of how you (rightfully so) complained about Rarity using her "techniques" to get what she wants and how it could give of a wrong vibe.
2:11 ok am I a bad person for thinking the boys don't look half bad? I mean since pony's don't really wear clothes, alot of clothes just is intresting no matter what it is.
Though not goldys shoes ..... those don't work For him. But the rest fits ok, maybe lose the hair thing and it looks pretty awesome. ... is it bad to see this in the vid?
Ok, that ending maybe a joke for you guys love triangle, and it was funny Fox. but I get the feeling that Keyframe needs to be careful if she doesn't want to end up creating a Harem for herself or her ending up as a Harem Queen.
To me, Soarin looks more rather hurt than threatening. Maybe it's just my inner Soardash shipping appearing, but the look in his eyes say that he's crying because he couldn't bare believe that Dash could do such a thing.
Fun Fact: Rarity Investigates was original conceptualized as a courtroom drama style. So Rarity Investigates could have had a more Phoenix Wright style to it. I'm just glad I had the opportunity to go to the Bronycon panel that Larson hosted so I could hear the original script.
Cue my Scooby Doo joke: I would have got away with it too if it weren't for those meddling ponies! Awesome review guys ^^ and I loved this episode not only because of Rarity and Rainbows team up but the whole mystery, it was a great fix on Mmmystery On The Friendship Express ^^
Thank you so much Golden. I finally found someone who hates the Wonderbolts as much as I do. I've been trying to find some reason to like them, but they've only been giving me even more reasons to hate them. All that they've done to Rainbow has given me enough to deem them beyond redemption.
My theory is that the Wonderbolts had a series of awful leaders/predecessors like Wind Rider, which is why Spitfire had a team of arses at the earlier parts of the series. Also... when someone suddenly goes missing and the first reserve is celebrating like a jackass, it's kind of natural to think "Hey, maybe this was deliberate..." Also also... bad writing.
I gotta say, Golden and AnY would have looked good dressed as Daphne and Velma, respectively. ;) But I wish people would stop complaining about Rarity charming stallions. Plus I never had a problem with Wind Rider being an obvious villain, because it was one of those "Its not WHO did it, but how do the heroes PROVE he did it?" kind of scenarios. Huh, but the stallion with the green mane (forgot his name, sorry) wound up in bed next to Golden... and in an earlier, they kissed. ^^ But of course, the cherry on top was Goldenfox snuggling his Sega in the closing credits. X)
Key looks better playing Velma Dinkley. AnY might fit well if dressed as Shaggy. Goldenfox fits picture perfect as Freddy. Lightning Bliss could play Daphne Blake. Twinky as Scooby-Doo would look cute.
I only just saw this now as I was out... This was a really entertaining review. You 3 are a good trio and I like how you bounce off each other. I liked the ending the best.... Now I have some writing to do and find Wunten to commission reading said writing 😈 Stay blazing, German and creative you all! 🌞
I like the little strip I found during my google search for images of Wind Rider. In it, Rarity accuses him of framing Rainbowdash to preserve his record. He replies, "Actually, I did it so I could spend some time with Stormy Flare without her daughter in the way." He grabs Stormy Flare in a loose embrace and Soarin spits out his drink. I laugh everytime I see it and wish his motive hadn't been as obvious as it was in the cartoon.😸
I know this is late, but interestingly enough, the actress for Rarity also plays the role of Naomi Misora, a former FBI agent who hunts down her fiance's killer in Death Note. (yes, i'm a weeb. And you watch a show for little girls. Call it even?)
Ah Noir style clothes. There is a reason I have my spy and Pyro in that style. There is just something about trenchcoats and oversized fadoras (don't know the true name of that hat) that just works for me Allso, ménage à trois turning into ménage à cinq was magnifique Is there a room for a bypedal hairless ape?
Wow Golden, it was, really good review about this episode. I do impress of the Jazz, the Black and White screens, and how Rarity solves the mystery, in Style! But there are a few I disagree with and agree with. 1. YES! I do love to see Rarity and Rainbow Dash hanging out since season 1, cause it's rare for them to be together. But I don't see them as a shipping thing. 2. The guards are incredibly annoyed as they are the same and how they get easily tricked. 3. I must say, when Rarity keeps changing her clothing, it came to be, a distraction. I mean, for females, we try to weaken the males to give them what they want to achieve things. 4. HOLY YES!! It's really so obvious that Wind Rinder, is the true villain of this episode as one slip of a clue of his chuckle, that got me to a complete notice. I don't know how other people might not realizing it, but it does spill the answer right in front of you. 5. I actually don't the wonderbolts. Why? Because to me, as they jump to the conclusion of how they treat Rainbow Dash poorly without any proof that she did it, they have forgotten that each team must look out for each other. How can they be so easily dumbfounded of how they believe Rainbow has done it? I mean, has she even know Spitfire's mother from the beginning? Does she know where they live?! I mean, come on, stop jumping to a conclusion to other ponies without proof. Like how Pinkie doesn't think clearly of how and who ruins the cake in the first place. Well, here you have it off my thoughts of this episode. And I really love this video review. It's really good and it took me a while to even type this, so I hope this might help a bit, or maybe I don't make sense. But, you tell me. Anyway, thanks for the video and have a good time. And you look great a bit, but you might wear better clothing that might match your colors.
Key was dressed as Carmen Sandiego, it kinda obvious, especially since she’s a bad actor. I’m kidding Key, you’re great. Now off to build a shipping fleet... how can I get Big Daddy McColt and Silver Quill in as well...
To be honest I thought spitfire recolor without the blonde roots was actually spitfires younger twin sister who is just as talented a flyers spitfire however a follower not a leader and yes I will admit that in Secret of My Access I thought she was spitfire cuz I didn't notice the lack of blonde roots
Hey, GoldenFox Here's my opinion on this episode. I thought this episode was entertaining, though I feel that there were some problems with how Wind Rider did all these things to frame Rainbow Dash. Like how Winder Rider managed to get some of Rainbow Dash's hair? If he got it while she was asleep, then how did he break into her room without being seen or heard? How he managed to get a cake to the guards to distract them? And how he managed to make himself into a mare so convincingly? I feel that the writers and animators should have added flashback scenes of how Winder Rider did those things while he told how he did it from his point of view. That would've made his revelation as the culprit more convincing. Also, for his crime of framing Rainbow Dash, he ended up getting dishonourably discharged from the Wonderbolts at the end. But I feel he deserved much worse and here's why. When he was found out, he said and I quote: "I did what I had to do to protect my record! Sometimes you gotta play dirty to be the best!". To me, this means that it probably wasn't the first time he did something like this. He probably framed so many other possible Wonderbolt members and reserves that could be a threat to breaking his record, and got them kicked out and having their careers and dreams ruined. So when you think about it, Wind Rider probably deserved worst if that was the case. What are your thoughts on all of this?
Instead of asking "how" (something that could be handwaved with "magic" from a unicorn friend/mercenary; or using potions/artifacts "charged" with the apropiate spells), it is more interesting to ask WHY would he take some many risks and complications to incriminate Rainbow: -> He needed some "proof" that it was Dash the one who entered into Spitfire´s room. Even if only Rainbow (from all Wonderbolts/reserves) had a plausible/known motives and no alibi, unless you also have proof of her "being there & then", you can not accuse her of DOING anything.
-> Since if they "do it anyways", Rainbow Dash then has the right to do a "counter-accusation" (this time to Spitfire) of her _"doing all of this just to ban her permanently from the Wonderbolts"_ ... ~for some reason?~ ... (maybe enacting a "revenge" from Dash putting her "in shame" two times already in front of others ponies: once in her own office [S3E07] (her guards); and another at a public event [S4E10] ). The Wonderbolts in principle sould not prevent Rainbow Dash from "participating" in the next flight (regardless if they think she is guilty or not); since their duty to "take the case" against either one can be done later once SpitFire returns to be questioned directly about it [either as the victim or the main suspect]. -> This is why Windrider had to "set up" enough of the fake evidence so any other "posible, but not plausible" scenarios that would not have "the actual Rainbow Dash" as the perpetrator (like a Mirror Pool clone [S3E03] made by moving her while she was unconcious in the hospital [S2E16]), would be so convoluted to not be even considered.
[About Windrider´s punishment]: If he was just "enacting a vendetta" on Rainbow (in the hypotetical case that she did something legal, yet "awfull" to him in the past... like a very heavy "prank"), the Wonderbolts would have likely kept the whole thing in secrecy [for the sake of their whole military branch´s reputation]; only forbidding him FOR LIFE to ever participate in anything else made by the Wonderbolts (plus removing any photos or references to him from public display in their headquarters), but allowing him to retain "his glorious past" as long as he did not used it for his own gain. But because he was actively ruining the life of a "third party" (somepony he did not knew previously), who was not even a fully fledged Wonderbolt (but just a "promising candidate"), it means he never had any scruples at all; so ANYPONY else could be his "next victim" in the future. Hence, they had the responsability to *shame* him (by both the internal "dishonorably discharge" & the public disclosure of his crime to anyone who may ask). -> For a counter-comparison: Lighting Dust was simply "discharged" from the Wonderbolt Reserves; with the exact reasons likely never to be revealed to a random journalist pony (if anything to not raise questions about the lack of security on their airspace regarding civilian non-pegasi ponies); but mostly because she either "learned her lesson" or would not have a similar motivation to do something like that again [so, no reason for an aditional humilliation that could lead to further animosity/terrorism].
HEY!!!!!!! I have something stolen from me too. My attention for this AWESOME REVIEW!!!! Excellent job you three, plus cameos. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
...Was that a Spooning With Spoony reference? Also... I think there's someone who needs an apology for getting called out after saying that green magic was the color of evil/villains. Keyframe was kind of maniacal here. Also... fun review. I don't mind the predictability of the ending of Rarity Investigates. A LOT of mysteries are obvious, if you think about them. And the journey is fun enough that I enjoyed it.
Always happy to see AnY doing something Pony. Takes me back and this review it particular really took me back with the whole Yay/Neigh bit. Nostalgia for the win!
Nice review from all of you, definetly one of my favorites from Season 5. A very funny review and all of your OC's look really great in those detective outfits! 🤣
1. 6:09 The first thing that came to my mind was Firebrand's strong words on the matter. Imagine my surprise when he shows up _six seconds later._ 2. Have any of you three read this little gem? I'd like to hear your thoughts on it: www.fimfiction.net/story/351858/how-rarity-investigates-should-have-ended
I want to see Keyframe wearing the dress ANYpony was wearing. Plus, Keyframe, you know that Rarity is going to freak when she sees you tore a hole in one of her hats. Shame on you.😸
I am sorry, I had to skip over #1 Neigh because back when this episode aired EVERYONE was saying how obvious the villain was. I felt very insulted at one point because I didn't get it right off the bat until the 2nd part. I felt that since I didn't get it right off that I was basically too stupid. So I'll admit, I didn't want to watch this review for that reason because it would just remind me of how I felt during that time because I wasn't smart enough like everyone else to notice the villain right away. Other then that part, this was a fun review. LOL glad you got your SNES back Goldie lol. Also, um, Voice, does Sega know where you're at? Lol.
"And after the camera's view faded to black, they all got out of bed. Goldenfox and AnY thanked Voice of Reason and MasterCode for their help in filming the fanfic fuel, while Keyframe grumbled that they were going to force her to read bad orgy fanfics later. Once the fanfic readings were finished, everything went back to normal, and Keyframe began plotting something new. The End." Done! You crafty pone... YOU GOT ME FANFICING!
@@CertifiedShoeChewer I found a semi decent rundown of the multiple definitions. There's at least four... and one site had at least a dozen, with about 7 or 8 of them being sarcastic insults towards the term and people who use it. My favorite is "Yeet!" as an expression used when throwing something a great distance away... Mainly because of a monster hunter world meme that uses "Yeet!" as part of the joke.
Another issue with the wonderbolts is that they commit a cardinal sin of investigation, they put the burden of evidence on the accused, they should have performed their own impartial investigation
And so, it was then that keyframe realized that having a mostly anger fuelled train run on her is only fun for the first hour, not the whole night. If you know what I mean.
I'm new to this channel and I have no idea what I just saw so can someone explain to me I thought Fox and keyframe were together I am so lost so can someone explain to me
6 months late but... Yes, Golden and Key are together. However AnY is teased with Key a lot to the point that it's become a very weird ot3. At the very least, this isn't the first time the three of them have ended a review in bed together... although D was in bed with them once. (D being AnY's discorded yet separate self who is AnY's channel roomie...) The Bronanysis community kinda has its own story and lore at this point. xD;
I saw it more like Rear Window, where we know who the criminal is, but unlike Agatha Christie where its a who done it, Alfred Hitchcock focused more on the How than the Who.
8:38 Goldenfox: Oh hon, you are one to talk! Keyframe: Buh-scuse me? Me: *(sneezes and fires off a magic color blast)* Oops. 9:55 Keyframe: *(whistle)* Wowie. Me: Yeah, wowzers. 14:43 AnY: What the fox said. Golden: You asshole. Me: 😂
I gave these writers too much credit with the mystery. When I saw this episode for the first time, I too thought it was obviously Wind Rider. However, when we got to Cinnamon Chai and her description of the mysterious customer having a "raspy voice", I was starting to think that maybe the plot was going to take a different turn, wanting us to _think_ it was Wind Rider. But in hindsight, if that were the case, they would have played up his guilt a lot more.
It is so fricking ironic that A.N.Y. of all ponies is complaining about the gluttony and seduction used in this episode when we've clearly seen him soaking up a variety of emotions like a buffet table during TF2 because he's a half-changling. I am flabbergasted by this to the point of speechlessness and a knowing blushing smile while banging my forehead on my desk. Dude, what the heck? XD "German Chocolate Beef Cake???" O.O I agree.
I honestly wasn't expecting a threesome as a punishment for theft, (I even thought Keyframe disliked ANY) and I was about to go along with it. Then the fivesome completely threw me for a loop. No complaints 😉
I kinda figured Key would be behind this. But at the same time I was like, What would key want with a Super Nintendo? I know why she took that vest because you know, just go to Tumblr. (You know before it went stupid) Also I agree with her on the dresses part, and considering I've already seen Goldie in a dress IRL I already know how goldie must be feeling XD
I didn't see that firebrand cameo coming, still awesome though🔥🔥🔥🌡🌡😉
5:44 actually when they end up saying about how incompetent the guards are I was actually waiting for firebrand to show up
I did!😁 The moment they brought up the guards, I was counting down the seconds until Firebrand made an appearance.

...Was that a Spooning With Spoony reference?
So did Keyframe win? Or... did she lose? Actually what did they actually do besides actually do it?
Always happy to see AnY doing something Pony. Takes me back and this review it particular really took me back with the whole Yay/Neigh bit. Nostalgia for the win!
Any: how about you neon colored Pegasus
Keyframe: HEYOOOO!!!
me: *spit out my soda laughing* dang it the both of you 🤣
Nice review from all of you, definetly one of my favorites from Season 5. A very funny review and all of your OC's look really great in those detective outfits! 🤣
21:36 that ending tho
That was hilarious to see, yet I was surprised that no one ACTUALLY did a fanfic of that yet 😂
6:16 Hey look, it's my favorite Jarhead Pony
1. 6:09 The first thing that came to my mind was Firebrand's strong words on the matter. Imagine my surprise when he shows up _six seconds later._
2. Have any of you three read this little gem? I'd like to hear your thoughts on it: www.fimfiction.net/story/351858/how-rarity-investigates-should-have-ended

Key can teleport right? Right? I mean with UA-camrs I try and keep that stuff out of my head. So I'm ligit scared rn.
1:50 So I’m probably wrong but uh.. GOLDENFOX ARE YOU DRESSED UP AS MISSY?!
Awesome review, nice to see the tri in a review. That ending and cameos are funny to :3 keep being awesome
I want to see Keyframe wearing the dress ANYpony was wearing. Plus, Keyframe, you know that Rarity is going to freak when she sees you tore a hole in one of her hats. Shame on you.😸
To quote Celestia there is no wrong way to fantasize
Did you see the finale trailer today guys? Tug at my heartstrings and it made me cry 😭
Just the thing too come home too after one wild night shift!
I really like this episode great reviews Guys
wow wasn't expecting mastercode and voice
Loved the review! But if I may ask golden fox have you heard of the show miraculous tales of ladybug and cat noir?
You do know that Noir is France for Black right.
As in Black and White film style, Cat Black
Get it
@@crescentglow9625 yes I get it. Good pun. It was purrfect!
Goldie Golden Glow Butterfairy I learned from the best, and I ain’t kitty.
Keyframe must've been crying during the episode end in friend.
Lol.
That ending I wasn’t expecting that
Yes! Write all of the fanfics! Mwahahahahah!
*Oh dear lord we are in trouble*
"And after the camera's view faded to black, they all got out of bed. Goldenfox and AnY thanked Voice of Reason and MasterCode for their help in filming the fanfic fuel, while Keyframe grumbled that they were going to force her to read bad orgy fanfics later. Once the fanfic readings were finished, everything went back to normal, and Keyframe began plotting something new. The End."
Done!
You crafty pone... YOU GOT ME FANFICING!
Well then this should be very interesting lol
I love noir themed entertainment...
I loved the ending. And I feel you Golden, I love the SNES, it was my first game system ever
Say are you guys still going to do reviews after Season 9?
Golden: "Wow I'm touched Babe (cartoon sound effect) Wow seriously?!"
Me: "Is that the kind of joke I think it is?"
The ending, though, and Silver is snaping that picture of Goldie and Any with dresses... Hey, Silver Quill, can I have that picture?
I got to say they need a organization to solve crimes in the ranks of the equestrian military almost like NCIS
GoldenFox does have a point about the wonderbolts quickly judging Rainbow Dash without a second and threatening to remove her.
well I know about the triangle in that kind of relationship....but what is it called when 5 people are doing it??? A pentagon????...
3:45 "Bunnies in Yeet" ?
I still have no idea what "YEET!" means. I've heard multiple explanations... but it still makes no sense.
@@hariman7727 it's highly contextual. Urban dictionary has the best deffenition that I have found.
Soo Voice cheated on Sega. Man she must be pissed after finding that out XD
Hey Voice, What were you doing in bed with them when you have a girlfriend?
Sweet collab!
Dang it I missed it I had it scheduled n everything *rage quit*
What happens when a sniper, a medic, and a demoman walk into a bar?
Also, AnY is the only one from the Red team.
And so, it was then that keyframe realized that having a mostly anger fuelled train run on her is only fun for the first hour, not the whole night. If you know what I mean.
Is it weird to think, that golden is pulling off the dress
wait so they had the choice of dressing like Velma and Daphne so what was Keyframe suppose to dress up as?
Well Golden Fox, I too scream internally thinking of THAT Episode.
WAIT! WAIT! WAIT!
I have not watched the new movie (in its entirety) but the pony at this very moment (5:00) looks very hereditarily familiar.
2:21 way more than just the endinmg is fueling the "lewd analyst" tag on derpibooru
I'm new to this channel and I have no idea what I just saw so can someone explain to me I thought Fox and keyframe were together I am so lost so can someone explain to me
6 months late but...
Yes, Golden and Key are together. However AnY is teased with Key a lot to the point that it's become a very weird ot3. At the very least, this isn't the first time the three of them have ended a review in bed together... although D was in bed with them once. (D being AnY's discorded yet separate self who is AnY's channel roomie...)
The Bronanysis community kinda has its own story and lore at this point. xD;
The beginning is basically me in real life.
Except it's "WHERE'S THE FUCKING IPOD, I WANNA LISTEN TO THE NEW AMERICAN FOOTBALL!".
Me: 😂
Golden that ending left me wondering one thing: Why?
O - o...that end was...completly...unexpected
I gave these writers too much credit with the mystery. When I saw this episode for the first time, I too thought it was obviously Wind Rider. However, when we got to Cinnamon Chai and her description of the mysterious customer having a "raspy voice", I was starting to think that maybe the plot was going to take a different turn, wanting us to _think_ it was Wind Rider. But in hindsight, if that were the case, they would have played up his guilt a lot more.
Golden, your key is such a troll.
And the ending...priceless.
Well he trolled her back lol
love the episode
"Ooh that felt good! By the way you look hideous." -firebrand 2019
XD
"German Chocolate Beef Cake???" O.O I agree.
(You know before it went stupid)
Also I agree with her on the dresses part, and considering I've already seen Goldie in a dress IRL I already know how goldie must be feeling XD
Keyframe was sus in the beginning.
Also, that ending though. **sexual DevilArtimes Zarbon moan**
How'd that last seen even happen
